The staff gave us plenty of space to browse, but they were always available when we had questions. No pressure, no pushy sales tactics, just friendly and professional service. The selection was impressive, but the prices completely caught us off guard. My wife and I each found a pair of bright yellow Adidas Gazelles, one of the hottest colorways this season, for only $29.99 a pair. Considering these usually sell for around $120, it honestly felt unreal. You can barely grab breakfast for that these days, yet we walked away with brand-new Gazelles. Great prices, a solid selection, and a team that lets you enjoy shopping without hovering over you. That's exactly the kind of retail experience I appreciate. I called this location today with a simple question. Unfortunately, I had difficulty understanding the associate, so I politely asked for her name several times because I wanted to make sure I addressed the correct employee. Instead of helping, she became hostile, yelled at me, used profanity, and hung up the phone. When I immediately called back, no one answered despite multiple attempts. I left a voicemail requesting a return call before the end of the business day. This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, even when there's a communication barrier. I hope management reviews this incident and provides additional coaching to prevent it from happening to someone else. All this occurred because I couldn't find the SKU#! I gave the name of the shoe and the color, do your job and find it and tell me if it's available at your store or online. The fucking nerve of people! Pretty big space for a Shiekh Shoes on Market Street not too far a walk from Union Square. My first & only time there was to attend the Jordan Brand pop up store reception they had one Saturday night. It was by invite only & held upstairs. They had a DJ, some light snacks, a hosted bar & some import models dressed as naughty santas giving out cookies & oreos. We had a good time. Shiekh even had several retro air jordan releases from early in the year that were no longer available for purchase at this event. We were able to buy a pair of Oreo Air Jordan Vs for a friend back in LA that needed it badly as an anniversary gift. Glad Shiekh had it & happy with their customer service that night. All of the staff were super cool not just at the register but also in meeting Shiekh's VP of Marketing Paul who was super cool & is also a friend of a friend. Very personable and justifiably stoked on the event they put on. The upstairs space was a good size. The main floor downstairs is a big space. Even bigger than upstairs. They definitely had a selection way bigger than any I have seen in Shiekh stores in LA. They had a bunch of sneakers that I liked as well as hats & beanies. read more

Do not purchase online from this place. I ordered something from them and they are not able to provide shipping confirmation or a timely ETA on the shoes I purchased. I have not even received shipping confirmation or a order number. If you don't order from PayPal you will have no confirmation had to call customer service after 5 days just to get any info. Terrible customer service. I tried to give them a chance to fix the situation they did absolutely nothing. I hope they have to file for bankruptcy much like they almost did in 2017. They even have false advertising on their website claiming fast shipping to get you to purchase the shoe. Ever since the old manager left this place has been even more horrible. The customers service is still poor, if not worse. They don't even greet you a hello or hi until you pick up a shoe from the display. They sat there waiting for you to ask for help. Their new manager is so ignorant and have no business of managing a place especially where it needs a lot of work to begin with. The selection of shoes has also gone down, but it's not as if they were comfortable and high end to begin with. Their prices are so inconsistent. If you go to a nicer mall their prices are ridiculously much more compared to a mediocre mall, you'll find their same products cheaper from $5-25. What kind of business is that? Out to steal your money business!!!! I also had a chance to be served by this Ali worker. He tried to be suave and give us the full service but failed. Obviously he was trying be extremely nice and you already know his service was temporary and fake. Does not resonate to the rest of his coworkers. I love this place because they remind me of Baltimore. All the salesmen are men, and they're really sweet to the ladies trying on shoes. Despite the fact that we try on at least 10 pairs! Even the men that came in, the salesmen were sincere and helped them promptly. There's a huge inventory! From hooker shoes, to stunnah shoes. Clubbin' boots to skate sneaks. And if you're lucky, you'll find something you like on clearance, which is really hard to come by these days. I got a pair of wicked reeboks, originally $89 for a cool $37 bucks! On the one hand, take my review with a grain of salt because I've not been in here for a while now. On the other hand, I am very serious and dedicated with my Yelp reviews so there is that: I have over 700 reviews to my credit and Elite for four years vs some people who have under 20 reviews written and yet dish on this store like they're a grand expert. Shiekh is somewhere between DTLR and other chains and the really fly indie sneaker boutiques: they're a chain but trying to be very exclusive and better than a mall store. The sneaker biz is a weird one because it's very competitive: even more Jordan releases can be had at House of Hoops or even Finish Line in some cases, so aside from places with back-stock limited releases, the same damn shoe for sale here you can get at the mall. You'd think that would prod a large store with prime real estate to do all it could to get your business, but not so much. Many of the staff are teens and some have this attitude that if they don't know you or think you look the part, they're not going to help you much. If you're a sneakerhead at all, wear a fly pair of kicks and some other really nice (well, urban-nice) clothes when you come in here. If you're a 50 year-old accountant buying some Asics for running, go to a running store, for Pete's sake! This is not a running store, you won't get the proper attention here for fitting sneakers for running, just as you won't find new Jordans at a running store. This should be self-evident. I'm a tall scrawny white kid but I only come in here wearing Kobe Xs, a Palace tee, St. Alfred cap and nice jeans. And I've never had problems with the staff. The selection is very good, but uniform because it's a chain. If you want kinda-rare but not obscure bball kicks, Chuck Taylors, or other retro or in-demand sneakers, come here. The sales can be very good, too. No one it seems, Nike included, actually knows which Jordan drops will sell well or not, so many go from their $160 list down to $80 in a few months if they don't fly out the door first day released. Also, if you're getting Roshes or anything else pretty common and it's before Christmas or another busy time, I'd go somewhere else for that: you can get Roshes at Foot Locker, at Nordstroms, at many many stores, ok? So there is little point of enduring rushed, occupied, and indifferent service to buy for the same price the same shoe Nordstroms will sell you with a smile from some poor underpaid kid in a suit who smiles anyway because you have to at Nordstroms. read more

WOW this store is amazing. sooo big and an over-the-top design for a shoe store . theres also a red staircase that leads to a BARBERSHOP wtf? NICE. the storefront was really eyecatching with the big display, bright lights, and a giant Lebron picture. it has a huge selection of shoes from women to kids to men. the staff was friendly and greeted you right when you walked in. there was a also a bunch of hypebeast camping out in the rain hahaha the prices are just average. dont come here expecting much of a sale. front sections of the store is mostly all skate shoes, womens heels, casual shoes. the back part of all nike. where all the filipino hypebeasts LOL yea seriously they just hang out there. this looks like one of the main shoe stops in SF for all the nikeheads especially since its RIGHT on market street and i block from the westfield mall. so dont expect to get your new releases easy, there will be a lot of campers out there read more

This place has horrible customer service. Don't get me wrong I've been here a number of times but it always seems like t his place is lacking in quality workers. I think you guys need better training in customer service. Although there is one lady that does work there and when we see her she's helpful, very pleasant and knowledgeable. My recent experience.... They have a greeter at the door who doesn't even greet people. I guess getting paid to stand this is considered working. We walk in see another associate and again ignored but we make it to the shoes we are looking for. Finally I find a pair and so does my daughter. We try to find an associate to get sizes and can't find anyone and there are 3 girls behind the register chit chatting but no one offers to help. the my husband proceed with a pair he'd like to try on... AGAIN NO ONE TO HELP. Finally my kiddo says ",mom lets go I can find shoes else where"... On that note... we made it else where and found what we were looking for with better a better staff, customer service orientated and has better prices. It's unfortunate because I've had other issues with this same store from ordering a pair of shoes they didn't' have on site and had to order it from their other store. It took over 2 weeks to receive but we were told it would have only taken a week from a store that is literally 15 mins away if you drive. Service is awful. I bought my roommate a pair of Roshe for Christmas so we came here to exchange the shoe size, but when we got here they were closed in the middle of the day for "inventory." The sign at the door said they would open again in a couple hours at 3 pm so my roommate and I waited, even when they were done with inventory the workers were just standing at the door looking at us wait... We finally get in and we ask for a different shoe size. It took 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES. FOR A SHOE SIZE!! the store wasn't even busy and they had my roommate wait at the register while 2-3 sales people were just talking behind the cash wrap and didn't bother to assist her, yet took her shoes and put it elsewhere. Worst customer service ever. Lots of "sales people on floor, all very busy chatting amongst themselves. One person finally decided to acknowledge our presence. I asked to try one pair, in 2 different sizes and waited 15 mins(!) for him to return with them. Carefully handing me one pair only. To try on and come back for the other pair afterwards...?? There were no people in store, bench was 2 meters from cash register where the rest of the employees were still busy chit chatting... was I supposed to put them on and steal them??! Absurd policy, which I remarked upon... and guess what it got me: Tried on first pair and decided it was right size so had the nerve to want to buy it. Only to eventually be told that the very clearly marked mark-down was a mistake. I was a worthless tourist and so they had no interest in letting me have a decent bargain. Sheikh has an incredible selections of shoes. I did not know so many variations of Chuck Taylors existed. And I have been wearing them for decades now. Hell, I didn't know that shoes came in that many colors, patterns textures, Nike, Converse, Adidas, DC's, the selection is beyond imagination. I thought the prices were reasonable and competitive, the same as the guys down the street. The staff was courteous and friendly, though I thought maybe the guy had gone to the Nike factory in China for my shoes, but I had plenty to gawk at and he eventually emerged with my size. They have some really cool shirts and hats, too. But the smallest the shirts come in is a Large, which is still to big for a small white boy like myself. The young lady that greeted me not sure if her name was tyasia was very nice and knew what she was doing .
