Highlights of our trip included: * The Room & Views: Having a suite gave us great extra space, and the views of the Columbia River were unbeatable. * The Amenities: We loved the complimentary hot breakfast (with a live omelet station!), grabbing an early evening drink in the lounge, and the 7 PM cookies. * The Location: It's perfectly situated right on the river walk and just steps away from great places to eat. * The Spa: We both had incredible massages. I usually find resort massages to be hit or miss, but our therapist, Breanne, was phenomenal. She knew exactly what she was doing and finally removed a knot I've had for weeks! Highly recommend booking a stay (and a massage with Breanne)!"

The front desk staff, bartenders, and maid staff were all so friendly and helpful. Check in is a breeze and the rooms are impeccable. There is also a fresh breakfast bar every morning (and a chef that makes omelets and eggs to your liking)! The pool is situated with a great view and has an actual Swedish sauna right there for a quick steam (with water rocks and everything). I could go on and on about how amazing everything is, but the view of the bridge alone is worth the stay. Come stay here to see for yourself!

This hotel is that style, but the bathrooms were spotless and not busy. The location in downtown also suggests that many guests are just out and about having a good time and not hanging out in the hotel hogging the bathrooms. We certainly were! Our room was small, but just fine and cozy for my spouse and I. Our room included a sink which seems essential if there is no bathroom and was much appreciated. The room was pretty warm so we ended up opening our window all the way which kind of freaked me out because they beautiful old fashioned windows with no screens - I was convinced a bird was going to fly in. Later, my spouse and I agreed that this isn't very kid friendly, but I think this isn't really a hotel that many with littles would choose anyway. The hotel is pup-friendly, though and we were happy to see a few canine guests. The lobby and interiors are cute and we enjoyed a couple cups of coffee in the lobby both days just to soak in the ambiance. The lobby has a little thrift selection of cool items for purchase; a small mini market of snacks and drinks for purchase; and a lending library including games and DVDs which we availed ourselves of. We felt lucky to get our room on a Saturday night during a "holiday" weekend and would definitely stay again!

Then it's 2 hour parking only during certain hours. Then you need to move your vehicle to locate an all day or overnight parking spot. Now the hotel has creaky floors, no air conditioning and single pane windows. The room we stayed in is right off the Main Street across from the karaoke bar that is open until 2:20am. The patrons are very loud, screaming, honking their horns on their cars and yelling until 3:30am. Two very long nights with not a lot of sleep. There is a coffee shop & breakfast place attached that has great food. The little lobby is cute and has games and puzzles if you feel like hanging out there. Our room did have a comfortable bed, a couch, a small closet to hang a few clothes and store your bags and it did have a restroom.

Free cookies, clam chowder, breakfast, pool, hot tub, and sauna included in your stay. The location is a bit odd... you drive down a pothole laden road, past RV and boat storage as well as a U-Haul rental. But it feels pretty safe. There are food carts on the next block and downtown is a quick drive. When the trolley is running, this could be very accessible for those that don't like parallel parking and/or want to imbibe in one or more of the local breweries, distillery or cocktail bars in town.

It's well-maintained by an attentive young man. In the well-appointed rooms, though, there's a real disappointment. The tv is a Google television, ready to point to apps (which we do subscribe to and would've loved to access) but the tv is limited to basic cable only. There aren't any movie channels, and the setup feature is blocked so the tv can't be connected to the hotel wifi. In 2025, this is ludicrous. Sure, it's fine if you brought your PC and an HDMI cable, but if you didn't you're stuck watching whatever's on cable, commercials and all. There's a "cast to tv" feature that didn't work either. Still, the room was very comfortable otherwise.

This is not your typical bed and breakfast. The property is completely independent so you're the only guest onsite. The home is beautiful, modern, well appointed, extremely clean and so comfortable. It has tall ceilings and large windows with breathtaking views of Astoria and the Columbia River. There is a fully equipped kitchen with an island, minus the oven. The upstairs area is a comfy sitting area which hubby used for reading. The perfect place you wanted to call home when you're away from home. Rafael was the perfect host. He greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the property. Every morning he prepared delicious hot breakfast and coffee for us. The refrigerator was fully stocked with water, juice and beer. There was even sparkling wine if you wanted to make mimosas in the morning. The bathroom had a towel rack that can warm/dry your towels before and after shower, which I absolutely loved. Who doesn't like a warm towel after shower? It's a 5-star bed and breakfast because every little detail was put into this place and I can't wait to come back and stay with Rafael the next time I'm in Astoria!

The only downside, and honestly the most important one, was the cleanliness. It didn't feel properly cleaned. For example, I found hair in the bathroom, even men's hair, which made me uncomfortable and a bit doubtful about how well everything else was cleaned. It's a shame because everything else was good the location, the view, and even the breakfast (which was included and decent). But cleanliness is really important, and that part definitely needs improvement.

Astoria Riverwalk Inn - Disappointing Service Despite a Beautiful Location…read more We stayed at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn from Saturday, December 27 through Sunday, December 28. While the room itself faces the river and the view is genuinely beautiful, the level of service was extremely disappointing and overshadowed what could have been a great stay. Upon arrival, we were not issued room keys because their system was down. This meant that every single time we needed to enter our room, we had to wait for someone at the front desk to come unlock it for us. Since there usually seemed to be only one person working, this often involved a long wait. The staff overall appeared very young and lacked any sense of urgency or customer service. At no point did anyone seem concerned about the inconvenience we were experiencing. To make matters worse, our room had only one towel for two guests. We notified the front desk at 7:00 p.m. Saturday night but were told we couldn't receive additional towels until 9:00 a.m. the next morning. When we called again Sunday morning, the front desk attendant said she couldn't leave the desk to bring towels--yet when I drove to the front desk myself (this is a cottage-style property and our room was at the far end), there were three employees working. Still, no one offered to bring the towels. For a room costing $162 per night, this level of service is unacceptable. The issue isn't walking or driving to the desk--it's the complete lack of care or effort to resolve basic guest needs. Finally, we woke up Sunday morning to ants all over the counters and tables. Ants everywhere. When this was mentioned to the front desk, the response was indifferent at best. This is unfortunate because the rooms themselves are decent, and the balconies and river views are lovely. The potential is absolutely there--but without competent, attentive service, this property falls far short. It's sad to see such a great location undermined by poor management and customer care.
