This is by far the best barber shop I've been to in a very long time. From the minute you walk in they greet you like you've been their customer for years, not like other shops where they don't even acknowledge you at times. Their service is great, it was my first time here and got serviced by Javi; awesome guys and great job on my hair and beard;Took his time not trying to rush. Like another reviewer on here, I became a client of this shop around the beginning of the pandemic. I don't recall the prices ever being as low as $30 and have always paid at least $50 and that seems fair to me for a good haircut. When I first started coming here, they had three barbers and one was the owner's brother and he cut my hair very good. He was fired later. Then another guy cut my hair very good and he was fired (or quit). Then Mike (the owner, who also confusingly goes by Noah) started to cut my hair and he did a VERY good job. He took about 45 mins to cut my hair and I was always happy. He was fun and nice and easygoing. After he couldn't fit me in (my fault, not his), I started seeing Julio who was another barber there and Julio was actually better to be honest. He took his time and about 45 minutes where Mike had gotten down to taking about 20 minutes and being rushed. To be 100% honest, I was also back and forth to Kentucky a lot and sometimes I would have to get my haircut at Walmart there (I was there taking care of a family member, and it was the only choice in a small town), and I admitted that to Mike once when I was in the shop because my haircut was horrible and we were all laughing about not getting my haircut at Walmart anymore. Anyway, once I came in to get my brows waxed by Mike's wife, Veronica, and Mike commented that my hair looked funny, and I might need to stop going to Walmart. I guess he had forgotten that I had been in his shop only two weeks earlier, and he was the last one who cut my hair. So, the dreadful haircut he was laughing about was actually the haircut he gave me. At that point, I started going to other places because Mike gave me a bad haircut and Julio had left as they can't keep people here. Mike seems way too difficult to work with. As other reviewers said, they did not take Covid seriously. Veronica would often wax my brows during the pandemic, and not wear a mask when she had her face right over my face. They also have two annoying little dogs that crawl all over you and jump on you when you are in the shop and you have no choice. The last straw for me, was the second time in a row that Veronica canceled on me for my brow appointment on the day of the appointment! She didn't apologize, and she didn't offer to make it up to me at all. If a client cancels, too late for them, they have to pay for that. But if the staff does it, it's ok? Either way, I missed two appointments, and even though their policy is that you don't have to pay for it until you schedule another appointment, I went ahead and paid them via Venmo plus gratuity both times without being asked. BOTH times. They made offer of making it right with me when they canceled on me the same day twice. I told them I would write a review via text... And I never heard from them. The last time Veronica did my brows, I went directly after that to get my haircut at another salon, and the hairstylist asked me if I needed to have my brows done. I told her I had just had them waxed, and she couldn't tell. They didn't look great because She was rushed. To be fair, Veronica always did a great job on my brows until then. They are really busy, overbooked, only one barber because no one can work with them, and I absolutely don't recommend it. It's definitely a sign of a business when they cannot keep staff. Also, if you look at the reviews on here that give them any criticism, the owner is very nasty with his responses. That should tell any possible customer everything they need to know. A good business owner would never talk to customers that way. He never addresses the situation, and he tells people they are lying or they haven't been there. They do not know how to treat people. I'm sure he will leave some nasty mean comments after this review, but I have proof of everything I'm saying here. I kept every text and every receipt. read more

How often can someone else make your look better than you can make yourself look? I look like a disheveled caveman sometimes when I come in - and I *ALWAYS* leave looking like a rock star. Seriously. I kinda want to lie and tell you not to go - because so many people have found out about this place that you have to make your appointments a few weeks in advance and I don't want to increase that wait time... but I can't. Mike and Veronica are warm, generous, funny, and we always have great conversations. They are awesome. So, I wish I could lie about it - but I just can't. And really - I look better when Mike takes care of me than I can myself. He has magic hands or fingers or something. My beard looks better. My hair looks better. Even my face looks better! What the hell, Mike? In all honesty - I am difficult to take care of when it comes to my hair. I take great effort to keep my hair looking good - and it isn't easy. Why? The hair on my head is baby-fine. It always has been. People thought I'd be bald in my teens or early 20's when I was still 9 or 10! I'm 42 and still have all my hair... it's just very, very fine. When I leave Mike's chair, somehow my hair looks thicker and I always feel like a million bucks when I leave. And I'm not saying this to be glib - I really mean it. I always feel confident and happy when I leave. Veronica has done a great job on other things I needed done. Once I wanted to look good - so I did about everything you can do. I did the haircut, beard trim, manicure, pedicure, eyebrows, facial... I looked awesome when I left. They both do such an amazing job - I really can't say enough. Go! You won't regret it! Appreciated that the owner, Mike/Noah, explained the different styles of fades (low -1 finger distance from your earline, low-medium - 2 fingers, high...). This is one of the few quality mens' haircutting spots to take appointments, and the benefits are clear. No long wait on a Saturday morning, and the stylist isn't rushed to get to the next on the assembly line behind you. Also, they accept credit cards. Very nice to see a shop put its customers' convenenience first! Walking in, it's a very clean, modern, and well-designed space. They put a lot of thought into the space, and it shows. If they're not in school, they're attached to the hip (almost literally). I don't have the time/option to wait too long at a shop. They take appointments. Great! You can setup up one on-line with relative ease. Even better! Staff is super friendly, engaging and accommodating. I have gone here twice (so far). Javier is great. He knew exactly what I wanted in a cut and was able to replicate it each time. The cut is not rushed. I had to stop and check the kids or answer a phone call and he kept on cutting. Pricing is competitive for the area. If you do schedule, stick to the appointment and do remember to tip.
