So far I like it, love their somosas, they have a small buffet that I want to try, I just haven't had the time to go and see how it is!

I stopped by for grabbing a quick snack-vegetable pakora and vegetable samosa. Both tasted delicious. Prices were cheap and the portions were large. They had a variety of sweets available too. I wish the store could improve on its interiors and cleanliness. I want to revisit but their level of hygiene puts doubts in my mind. :(

Was hungry for some Indian or Pakistani food and preferably an affordable lunch buffet. Shiney's did NOT disappoint! Only $12 all u can eat and I enjoyed everything! Samosa's, Chick peas, Fresh baked Naan, salad and many kinds of chicken. All of it was simply falling off the bone and seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of heat. Even one plate would have been worth the $12 paid (why would you get fast food when you can get good food fast for the same price!), but of course I had to have a 2nd plate. ;-) My favorite was probably the chicken curry but I thoroughly enjoyed everything! Super kind and friendly staff too. It is ramadan so lunch was slow but it's usually bustling apparently. Hope to come back next time I'm in the area!

When I saw the buffet from the outside and the gastronomic aromas incited my senses, I knew the food would be great! A relative of mine, drove me to this restaurant and we were greeted with wonderful bakery pastries in the display case. I indulged in the samosas, chana, eggplant, and rice. The samosas here are huge and irresistible. I could not stop eating them. After eating here, you will be dreaming about samosas. At Shiney's the prices are affordable and the portions are huge. The customer service was pleasant and the buffet was organized. Treat yourself!

I was in the area and craving for Indian desserts. this Pakistani / Indian place have so many selection to choose from and they sell them by pound! I told the man that I don't know what to choose and asked him to recommended me what to get. he just handed me a sample and said, tell me if you like it. that alone is enough for me to ask for a box to fill up with different things, hahaha. really good.

It's not the cleanest restaurant. They barely put the AC on during the Summer. Service is mediocre. You'll leave smelling like oil. So why the 4 stars? Their food and desserts are on point. My family have been long time customers of this place. This is a no frills restaurant offering Pakistani cuisine that won't hurt your wallet. The weekend buffet is our favorite. Their curries are packed with flavor. The meats are always juicy. We love their Chicken Biryani. The rice is fragrant and I love the bits of orange color in the rice. In addition to the buffet, they also offer a variety of individual dishes. Their samosas are excellent. Make sure you ask for the sauces it's supposed to come with. Shiney's forks out amazing Mithai (sweets). I appreciate that their mithai always taste fresh. They have a bunch on display. I tend to gravitate towards the colorful ones. Point at the ones you want and tell the cashier how many. It's priced according to weight. They also serve homemade kulfi (mango, pista, and malai). There isn't much going on in here as far as service. It's more of a help yourself type joint. If you're dropping in for the buffet, everything is laid out for you. Plastic silverware, cups, paper plates, napkins, and water are within reach. Naan is also included in the buffet. If an employee doesn't bring it out for you, definitely ask for it. When you are done, clear your own table. If you're on a budget, in the mood for authentic Pakistani food in a no frills environment, this place is for you. Warning: You may feel the need to take a long nap after eating here.

The clientele here are mostly Indian or Pakistani so that's a good sign. I don't know much about Indian sweets besides that most of them are tooth-achingly sweet. The guy work at the front patiently told me what each was made of and I picked a couple based on appearance. I think these desserts are quite photogenic, don't you think? The yellow and the pink one are like really juicy macaroons. The brown one tasted like a cross between a donut hole and a baklava. The orange one tasted vaguely like candied yam. The white square with neon green stripe had the consistency like fudge, but instead of chocolate, it has a milky cheese flavor. I am pleased with this new discovery, and definitely going back for some more next week.

This is probably the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The butter chicken was extremely oily/greasy and wasn't served with rice. VERY disappointed and disgusted. I am editing this review to include that this was an UberEATS order.

the best butter chicken I've had in the DMV area.

Shiney charges high Buffet prices for take out and still charges extra for bread (naan) to go with the food. Poor customer service.

If the restaurant is not busy, you could bring a group of 8-10 here easily, there are also 2 tables outside that can fit 6-8 each. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the kabob platter masala, incredibly flavor, nose running spice level. It comes with rice, but we ordered 1 garlic naan to soak up all the curry and that was a good choice. There were 3 shrimp, a moderate amount of chicken and lots of lamb, it was a ground lamb kabob. The Nilgiri Chicken curry was very coconut forward; the flavor reminded me of a mild Thai green curry, with the thickness of an Indian restaurant curry. If you're looking for spice without being spicy and love coconut, you'll love this. Rice was exceptional. Also ordered the Aam Palak Chaat (this is a staple for me) -- flavor was great, the dish was served cold including the spinach. I'd like to go back and try a Kati roll. Overall a great experience and I'll go back. Just know you do order vs full restaurant service. But your food is served at the table and the team checks in on you too! Great option for friends or groups paying separate checks.

So, since I was looking for Pizza, the Butter Chicken Pizza caught my eye and instantly made me craving for it. Unfortunately, it was too late the night that I found them on Yelp, so I had to wait a couple of days. I knew generally where they were located, but had no idea that they were nestled a couple doors down from the Harris Teeter I have been going to for years. Even knowing the address, I passed by the first time as it doesn't stand out among the other businesses in the strip mall. Upon walking in, I saw that the place is clean and I was immediately greeted by the gentleman at the register. Still craving the idea of Butter Chicken on a Pizza, how could I order anything else? Well, when I noticed that they also sell momos, I also ordered Chicken Momos. The sound of a Mint Cherry Lemonade spurred my curiosity as well, so that topped off my order. The steamed momos took a little bit of time to make, so I was given my lemonade in the meantime...at my request. It is pretty amazing...but, you may want to ask for extra ice as it is very sweet and very sour at the same time...but is made fresh from real fruit and muddled mint. After about 10min, my order was ready, and somehow I was able to resist the urge to open the bag before my ten minute drive home. I have to admit, at first sight, the size to price ratio seemed to be off balance. The Butter Chicken flatbread pizza is not that big. Personal sized is appropriate...but the size is deceptive. Every bite of this little Pizza was amazing. It was like Butter Chicken and Pizza were made to be paired...with a generous amount of mozzarella marrying the two together. The chicken, the sauce, the cheese, the spice, the flatbread, the caramelized edges...all make for an amazing experience. After finishing the last bite of the last slice, I was unexpectedly, and pleasantly full. So, that size to price ratio? For such a unique and amazing Pizza, I think it's appropriately priced. The momos I had to save for the next day, but they too were amazing. For those unfamiliar with momos, the dumplings themselves are not that different from other Asian dumplings except that they tend to be fully stuffed and with higher quality meat. What sets momos apart is the sauce which is rich and flavorful...not just soy sauce like so many other asian dumplings. In this case, the sauce is a rich, creamy, spicy tomato sauce...and it paired perfectly with the chicken momos. They too seemed to be too few to make a meal, but I was wrong. Totally full afterwards with smile a mile wide. Will I be back? Uh...I would have gone back every day afterwards if I didn't want to ruin a good thing!

Not sure what's going on, but when you have a large menu, and try to order 3 or 4 different things and they say none of them are available, you should probably let people know what you actually have available on the menu. When the food came out, it was hit or miss, half the party enjoyed their meal, the other half didn't. So when you're a party of 8, that's a lot of meals people didn't enjoy.
