Let me start off by saying this Chinese takeout is our favorite one. Last night I was in charge of getting a meal for 20 people. Someone suggested Chinese and so I went to talk to them. Come to find out, they actually make Party Platters for such requests. I went in at 11:30am and placed an order for 4 different dishes plus 20 egg rolls. I gave a pick up time of 5:30pm. At 5:30 I went in, food was ready and hot! They helped carry the food to my car (I walk with a cane so carrying things can be difficult) and loaded my car up. There was a full tray of white rice included for some of the dishes I had picked up. When the dinner began, everyone enjoyed the food and a few wanted to know where I picked it up. Basically... if you're doing a party, give Shing Fung House a call and have them cater your dinner. BTW... prices were extremely reasonable for this event! read more

If I could give a ZERO rating I would I had to dig on this site to find all the negative reviews many not current but there are a slew of them nonetheless. Was in that shopping plaza Sunday 07/26/2026 around 3pm decided I'd try this Chinese Place. I ordered in person 3 pork egg rolls and a small pork lo mien. Woman assured me at the check out everything cooked to order and all fresh ingredients she had on glasses in a pink smock. I waited 15 minutes which was fine, got in my car and took a small bite of the egg roll and thought it tasted salty but thought okay, could be a fluke and I'll wait till I get home to eat. The lo mien was so so salty (MSG overload??) my lips were burning so was the inside of my mouth. I tried the egg roll one more time even put duck sauce on it and I had to spit it out the salt content killed the taste of what an egg roll should taste like, I ended up throwing out the rest of that egg roll then I wrapped up everything else, I was so annoyed, found the receipt and decided gas or no gas I was driving back there to get a refund of $16 plus tax. The same woman at register was going on and on "We've been in the business 40+ years and this is the first time we had to refund an order or get a complaint"!!! The more she spoke like a lecture the more I was determined to get my credit card refunded. She wanted to deduct the full amount of one egg roll because I took 2 bites off the egg roll and had trashed the rest of it. Got the full refund, no apology or we can remake this order for you, nothing. I left knowing I'd find negative reviews once home and more calm about this establishment. And there they were buried... majority of customers opted to throw out their order rather than take a longer drive then I did and took the loss. Not me... never ever again will I go there or any other garbage Chinese place in Clifton Park. I was tempted to just throw out all the food but was upset enough to bring it back. $16+ to me is a lot of money for salt. I could not stop drinking water for over an hour I was so thirsty. So here's a current negative review to add to the growing list in the yellow zone. read more

The food is consistently good and for a reasonable price. The kitchen is visible to the customer so you can appreciate their cleanliness. They have an extensive menu. Most orders are " to go" but there are a few tables there to sit and eat in. read more

Stopped by this place for a late night craving, as it is a favorite of my uncles. In town visiting from out of state and I have to say the food was fantastic. We got so much food for under $60 . Talk about Yin and Yang. This may be the filthiest place I've been to in some time. Dirty windows, walls, and floors; kitchen did not look like it would pass muster with the health inspector; faded out generic pictures of their dishes; and a number of dying or completely wilted plants to complete the sort of fly-specked decor. As a hole-in-the-wall generic Chinese takeout joint in a sad old strip mall, one must emphasize the "hole" part. We only gritted our teeth and ordered because the kids had chosen this place over Pizza Hut (go figure) after having waited quite a long time for lunch today, and everybody was starving. Definitely against my better judgment. But wait - the food was pretty good! I think we may have been the only people in the last decade to actually eat-in (there are no actual placesettings, not even paper mats with the Chinese zodiac on them, they just give you to-go stuff of the cheapest styrofoam to eat off) but it did mean we got food prepared within just a few minutes of ordering. The veggie platter special (the Jade Jewel) was tasty and cooked just right. The standard-issue Sesame Chicken had detectable garlic in the sauce and while fried, as ever, was OK. Fried dumplings were actually quite large and only moderately greasy. Again, pretty standard generic AmChi take-out, nothing special, but competent and quick. I honestly have little basis on which to compare this type of place, as I probably wouldn't go back again due to the gross-out factor (which normally is at best a two and often an automatic one), but the food was solid three stars. Are the results, or the process, more important to you? So I'll just settle on three stars and let you sort out which of the above factors is most important to you, one star Yin or three star Yang. read more

Food- 3.5 Stars Crab Rangoon- The best I have had from a take out place in the area. Nice, THIN dough fried perfectly. Om nom nom. Dumplings were good not great, a bit too doughy but the sauce was excellent. Beef Broccoli was rather good. General Tso chicken was far too much breading for me, next time I am going to get something not fried. This is where they lose the 1.5 stars. Service- 3 Stars Be prepared to repeat your order multiple times. Nice enough once you are there. Atmosphere- 2 Stars Oy vey, what do these places have against cleaning? Best takeout Chinese food in the area! This is the only place we get Chinese food because no other restaurant compares! Love the egg fu young and the garlic broccoli. Vegetables are cooked just right. Have never gotten a bad meal there. Service is speedy and staff are friendly. read more

First of all, they take credit cards now. This is our go-to Chinese Restaurant (because they don't deliver . . . ha ha ha!). It is a typical Americanized Chinese primarily takeout place, but the food is good, the best close by us that we have found. The family mostly gets lo mien, fried rice, sweet & sour, but I personally am fond of a couple of the fancier items: double sauteed pork from the Szechuan menu, and double delight (beef and scallops) from the chef's specials. Tried this place for the first time tonight and my family and I were not at all impressed or happy with this place. i went in and ordered qt plain lomain, qt plain fried rice with egg and qt general tsos chicken. Got home and saw they gave me a qt of pork fried rice which my family and I don't eat. I called them and they had me go back to get the chicken. When I went in the last argued with me that I was wrong and I ordered something different. I told her that she repeated the order back to me and she look me in the face and told me the chicken was free this time but next time order the right thing. I recently moved to the area and this was the first Chinese place I tried. I am a huge fan of Hunan Chicken and was disappointed because it tasted nothing like what I got back home. Switched up what I got and I enjoyed the food. This is mine and my boyfriends go to Chinese place. Make sure you have cash on you when you go to pick up your food. Family run and some of the most traditional Americanized Chinese in CP. It's a little hole in the wall place, cash only & you can watch them make the food. I read another review-- I've never had a problem with the food. Favorites are the egg drop/wonton soup, Moo goo gai pan, Sesame chicken, traditional egg roll & fried rice. Walk n and food is generally ready to go within. 10-12 minutes. Living in Albany now, I miss it. read more

I am a huge Lo Mein fan and love it cold the next day. I have yet to find a place that rivals this place. It is out of the way and not at all aesthetically pleasing, but their food is consistently good. East Wok may be more convenient location wise, but their food is absolutely disgusting. This is the WORST Chinese take out I've ever had, and I've eaten Chinese all over the country. I would have rated it a negative five if I could have. Egg foo young was burnt.and the vegetables in it were old. The chicken in the sweet and sour chicken had the taste and texture of plastic and seemed to be old, too. Gone to Shing Fung for over 10 years but unfortunatly the food has changed for the worse. Shrimp lo mien used to be excellent but either the ingredients or recipe has changed where it has an off taste. We also experience a down town in the quality in the ingredients of other menu items like their general Tao's chicken . Its a shame, because we really did like this place. read more

New to the area and needed a quick dinner. Stopped in to look over the menu. First thing I noticed is that the place is buried in the corner of a sad looking strip mall with poor lighting to identify the place. Staff was pleasant enough and the wait time on a Friday night was no longer than what would be expected. I ordered the hot and sour soup with shrimp and snow peas. Both dishes were tasty with good flavor. The shrimp were nice and plump with a generous helping of snow peas. I will be back. read more

We ordered from this restaurant for our sons birthday get together. Although we have been getting take out from here on and off for 3 years, this time was the LAST TIME. Most times the order is incomplete and we are not aware that a third of our order is missing until we get home. There is NO WAY that a customer should have to unpack the brown paper bag to be sure that everything they ordered has been included. And oh yes, they do charge for everything you ordered even if it wasn't included. The food is never consistent- sometimes incredibly salty to just plain bland. After this last episode, I called the manager to complain about missing items and told him I was putting this review on Yelp. He delivered said items to my home within 20 minutes. read more

The place is not what it used to be after they moved, it must have new owners. The Wonton soup broth is like hot water. The lomein is definitely not it was used to be. We orderd the General Tso, Beef and Broccoli and Sweet and Sour Chicken along with two egg rolls and won ton soup. We have had better all around. The food was barely hot, the service was not the best and the egg rolls were very chewy with an odd flavor. I would not order from here again.
