Oh.My.Good. What a horrible, awful, terrible place to go to. The staff has no idea what they are doing. If you ask them to address a certain part of your body-they giggle and continue as they please on a completely different part for 45 minutes. Then it's over. So this was my first foot massage.. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, you know? As I walk in, I find myself in a dark room with about 8 massage chairs. They were big, black, and comfy. There was a Chinese war movie on the flatscreen, and the staff seemed to be enjoying it (two guys and one girl). I almost felt bad when they all jumped up to greet me. I asked for the 1 hour foot massage, and they kindly directed me to sit in one of the comfy chairs. As I took off my socks and shoes, one of the guys began filling a bucket of warm water. The other guy set the chair at a major lean and told me to relax... Here we go the massage lasted about fifty minutes. It was an experience! While my feet soaked my massuer rubbed my head and shoulders. He pressed on some major pressure points and then began to work on my arms. He spent about 25-30 minutes on my feet, and there were some points when I was in bliss, and there were times when I wanted him to stop because I was in pain. I'm pretty sure ge knew what he was doing, because when the massage was done, my feet and my back felt great!!! The last 10 minutes of the massage focused on my back. So, never having had a massage, I can only go on how I feel now. The place is bare. Maybe a fountain and some bamboo shoots could set a more relaxing and theraputic tone. The parking was pretty good, bur it's in a little shopping center, do you may have to hit the street. They take credit cards, and I'm pretty sure they have a bathroom. The staff doesn't speak much English, so be prepared to read facial expressions and other non-verbal cues. Based on this experience, I forsee many massages in my future, here and at other parlors! Been there twice, the first time I got a decent massage (6/10?) and the second time I came in and asked the head-cheese sitting there if he would explain to the lady about my pain spots so she can focus on them. He said to screw off because they give you what they give you and you cannot "control" the massage. I looked at him puzzled because there were lots of ways to tell me "no" but his method left a bad taste in my mouth. He gave me such a rude vibe that he lessened my opinion of the Chinese and the way they do business. He also jeopardized any future business from me and possibly to all those that will read this, affecting the therapists there that are struggling to make it. So I went to Lao Tang Sha up the street a little ways and was more than happy. I recommend them instead - only $20! read more

Whatever problems this place had under previous management seem to have been solved. Granted, it's not elegant inside, located in the same strip as Dragon Express, a bakery, a noodle shop, and a sandwich place, across from an Arby's. They could do well to turn down the music a touch, turn off the buzzer on the dryer in the back, and get some inexpensive floor mats so that one's feet don't ever have to touch bare floor when taking off one's shoes and socks. That said, the massage chair/bed was comfortable, the water hot, and my tech (named Joanna) pretty well skilled. What was nice was that a foot massage really was foot-centered. Sure, there was work on other parts of the body, but mainly on the feet, and that's a good thing. They do offer the full-body option, but foot was what I wanted and foot was what i got. No skimping on time. No annoying conversation amongst techs. No traffic noise to speak of from Reseda Boulevard. 20 for the hour, which is good for the SFV. I'm not saying I'd drive across the valley to come here. But for the Reseda Boulevard corridor? MORE than good enough. read more

I stopped with an achey back and Lucy was there to give me a massage. She was really strong. Stronger than many men that have given me massages. I think she was the only one there. She had to answer the phone when it rang during my massage which was a little annoying. It was completely silent and no background music during the massage. She didn't speak any English so that was a bit of a struggle for me. I do recognize that I only paid $20 for an hour long foot massage from her, so I don't have much else to expect out of it. She was trying to give me a scalp massage but her nails I think were too long and it felt more like scratching.
