Upon arrival we were told they have no burgers or steak (beef). Continued to look at the menu and decided to order shrimp skewers on rice - then told they have no rice! When food came, the person with me ordered pulled pork (of which was scantily put on a bun) and my shrimp came with a baked potato must have just been warmed, not grilled with a chili sauce on them. They were presented on a pink plate with no garnishes. The pork sandwich plate had only fries, not even a pickle! My parents and I Had a wonderful experience at Shipwreck on Christmas Eve! We made a random choice to go here because the day before I drove past the restaurant and noticed how festive the lights and decorations looked from the outside. So we decided to give it a shot. To our surprise we absolutely loved it! The service was delightful! Alex was very pleasant. The food and drinks were excellent and we all had an overall great experience. My mom called the next day to tell me how much she enjoyed it. She never does that, so that's a big compliment lol. Anyways, it will become our new Christmas Eve tradition! read more

I love shipwreck. My family and I go here all the time. I love the crab cakes, the shrimp, buffalo shrimp, ragoons and I always get the blackened grouper! The service is absolutely amazing and I love the owner Alex! The team goes above and beyond to make us feel special! I also hosted a party in the event space and they did such a fabulous job! I always enjoy the food when I come here with family, and the staff is always very nice and welcoming. I have really enjoyed the few times I went and there was live music as well. Overall this is very much a place I go when I want to feel the comfort of family. I haven't eaten anything that I haven't enjoyed and have never had bad service. Was out of town this weekend, and drove past this gem. I didn't expect much before going in. But let me tell you this place did not disappoint. Besides the music selection being perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and that's big deal being from Chicago. I liked the atmosphere. Although it was slow for a Saturday, it's got potential. My side salad was good and fresh. Wings were excellent. My kids ordered adult grill cheese, asked for no tomato and both came with tomato. I ordered fried perch. Fried! Fried being crunchy and crispy. The perch was soft and mushy as a fried item with very little breading. I was very disappointed the server didn't offer to fix or change anything. I clearly didn't even eat it! $27 dollar dish that shouldn't have been served! I will probably not be back. Sad because I'd been wanting to try the place forever. read more

We have tried this place before and was not up to what I would say was good that was before we even tried the food since we left before being served. The name fits the decor perfectly it took a several minutes to be noticed at the hostess station right there that's points off to me since that's why we walked out the first time. We never tasted the food because we weren't waited on. We went in with a group on Friday night and told we had to get our own drinks from the bar and that they wouldn't be able to seat us for 45 minutes. There were several tables empty and in the time we waited, no one was served. At that rate, this place won't be around too long. read more

We were there on a Friday night to hear some live music and have dinner. I had blackened grouper with sweet potato fries and my husband had fried perch. Both were good, no complaints. Liked this place a lot. This restaurant has had any number of names over the years, and is now called Shipwreck Bar and Grill. Pretty much a drinking place out here, where there isn't that much competition - but that should not detract you from visiting. The food was really pretty nice and the waitstaff was attentive and plentiful. The drinks are not priced over the top and the ambiance is OK. This place has live entertainment very often and it is nice. One in our party had the Lake Perch (only 2 stars because it has some kind of funky Cajun seasoning on it), another had the blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos (3 stars and a nice dinner, but a bit light on the blackening), another had the broiled Snapper (4 stars and a nice fish), another had the fried shrimp (4 stars as they have the French fried thing down pat), and last had the Crab Cakes (3 stars nice, but a bit more filling than crab). The ambiance here is a Country Western bar - concrete floors, a roped off bar area, and a nice little restaurant seating area. This was an overall nice place and we would not hesitate to come back. There was a line when we came in, and a line when we left. Good stuff. read more

After jonesing for some shrimp from Shipwreck for a couple of weeks, we finally get back there. I got my shrimp, and Sharon got fried chicken. The chicken was burned (photo attached). I finally talked Sharon into sending a dish back. Yay! The waitress, who was great, said 'ya a lot of people ask about that. It seems like it's the oil they use'. Um, ok, but we don't want it. So we split my shrimp dinner while the plate of burned chicken sat on our table waiting for the manager - who never came by our table. Never have been to a worst restaurant in my 55 years than this one. Service, food and drinks were all terrible. Do not waste your time. Run run away dont stop. Did I say this the worst. We went on Wednesday the 27th. The food was fantastic. I loved the Halibut, the wife had the chicken we shared a crab jalapeno popper dish as an appetizer the wife had a couple of the signature rum drinks, I think it was called a Bahama Mamacita, she loved them. My beer was ice cold and a great local beer from New Oberpfalz. There were a few small glitches little thing like no bar napkins under drinks but all of the employees have only been there a few short days they all worked their ass off running most of the time I was there. Went to the Shipwreck tonight. My girlfriend ordered a stout. 7-8 minutes later, waitress returns - no stout. Okay, it happens sometimes, so she ordered a beer. Then we ordered dinner. I ordered the full slab ribs, which was one of the specials for the evening. 10 to 12 minutes later, the waitress comes back saying they just ran out. How do you run out of a "special" by 6:05 PM? There were only four other tables there. And, it takes you almost 15 minutes to tell me that you're out? Not the first time this has happened to me and my guests at the Shipwreck, but it's definitely the last time. We got up and left. Went to Asada Grill & Cantina 10 minutes away. I really wanted to like this place. Many of my friends come here regularly and it seemed like a great spot for seafood. Maybe we just came on an off night. We started with drinks and appetizers. I got their version of the hurricane. Not awful, but my main experience with hurricanes are on Bourbon Street in NOLA, so my standards may be high. We ordered the cream stuffed jalapeno poppers, which came out ice cold in the center. They took them back and cooked them and comped is a free dessert, but the poppers were very bland. The scallops were very good. The baked potato was slightly undercooked, but not terrible. The slaw was extremely bland. It literally tasted like shredded cabbage tossed in mayo. My husband got the ribs, which I really wouldn't do at a seafood place, but his choice. They weren't bad, the sauce was a little too sweet for me, but I've definitely had worse. The pizza had an overwhelming amount of mozzarella cheese that tasted like glue. The entire pizza was overpowered by the cheese. The Jalapeño poppers fell apart and we're way too large. I ordered one of the most popular dishes, the Jumbo lump Maryland Crab cakes and my husband ordered the Nashville hot Chicken. When my crab cakes were served, they were cold. So I sent them back. I got the same crab cakes back and took a bite. Where was the jumbo lumps? Not in there. They were ALL filler. I honestly would have ordered something else had it not been advertised as Jumbo lump. They were horrible, had zero flavor and the red pepper aioli was so bland, I didn't even eat any of them. My husbands chicken was so salty it was disgusting and I LOVE salt. The service was good. This time though, they were out of several very simple ingredients needed to make 7 menu choices. Due to this, we were very limited on what we could order . We were told they are changing the menu. Only two other tables were occupied and one couple, who was ignored for 10 minutes, just walked out. We ordered a plate with pork, and it was served room temp cold. Not a good sign. We will not return. Wouldn't surprise me to see a closed sign on this place in the not to distant future.
