The waiter skimmed my friend's credit card, stole his credit card number and used it to buy 1000s of dollars worth of stuff! I've gone to Shiraz for several years but I'm not going there again after the most recent experience. Long-story-short, we went out to eat and my friend paid for the meal with his brand new credit card. This was the first time he had ever used it. Two days later he gets a call from the credit card company that his credit card has been used to make $1000s of dollars in purchases that he didn't know anything about. My friend had not used his credit card anywhere else other than at Shiraz. He was pissed and so am I! The food at Shiraz may be good but these guys are just crooks. Other friends suggested that next we go, we just pay by cash. But, I am not going to support a business that openly robs and steals from its customers. Forget that! The worst service ever! Do not go here. We came here for a birthday celebration and brought our own small cake. First off, we had no silverware and after asking 3 times, we finally got silverware, but only for half our table. When our food eventually came, it was the wrong order and they also forgot all of our appetizers. After dinner we had several plates of leftovers. They serve you warm pita with a side of fresh basil, onions, raddishes & butter while you wait for your meal. I ordered the family style lunch. It came with 4 giant plates of jasmine rice & grilled tomatoes & 3 differnt kinds of meat. We also ordered a side of hummus and cucumber yogurt dip which were excellent. We recived a free dessert for checking in on our yelp app. The total came for about $60 which was more than reasonable since we even have food leftover to take home! Shapour was our server and he was so kind and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and even came by with the owner to crack a few jokes with us. There is a HUGE parking lot in the back. I can't explain how bad my experience was in this place! First of all the service sucks. They have no manners, impolite, rude! Another unpleasant thing that we have noticed was that the dishes were not clean enough and I began to wonder whether Public Health know all about those or not?? how can they serve drink with dirty glasses? Another thing, aside from the service the food was horrible... We have been celebrating my sister's Birthday and we were so shamed about their food and service. All of our guests were not happy from what they have served us. Lastly, we wanted tea at the end they denied of serving as by reasoning that they are closed!!! seriously?? I'm going to start off by saying this WAS my favorite Persian restaurant. My family and I have been coming here for years! I love the food, the koobideh beef and chicken are my favorites. Most entrees are barbequed meat that come with rice and a grilled tomato. The appetizers are also tasty, my personal favorite is the Mast mousir, which is shallots in yogurt. You should take this To-go and try it with some plain chips.. My favorite, Yum! So now let me tell you about my worst experience here. It was probably the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I was with my parents and my dad is not one to complain or get upset at restaurants but this time he snapped! We arrived, sat down and ordered our drinks along with some appetizers. About fifteen minutes later the waiter came back and brought us a pitcher of JUST ICE and asked for our dinner orders. What the hell are we supposed to do with just ice? No cups either! We ordered a barg, a koobideh chicken and a koobideh beef.. All different barbequed meats. The waiter left and did not show up again until another 15 minutes passed with just ONE of the dinner entrees. Mind you, we still have not received our DRINKS (30 minutes in) or our appetizers. Suddenly, one of our food plates arrive. My dad was very angry and let the waiter know.. We told him we no longer wanted the appetizers since the food was now here. They apologized, brought our drinks and brought the appetizers anyways (charged us for it too.) By the time the koobideh plates arrived my fathers food, which was sitting there another ten minutes, was already cold. He was so upset he didn't even want to eat it. I must say, after this mishap I have not returned to Shiraz and don't know if I will again. The food is good but not good enough for me to put up with that service. read more

Your website indicates the restaurant closes on weekends at 11pm. My family wanted to take me to this restaurant on my birthday, Friday April 1st. We called and were assured they would be open until 11 and since we were a very small party, we did not need a reservation. We arrived at 10:05 pm, the dining areas were lit and the restaurant signs said "open". I am disabled and there were no spaces in the designated area of their parking lot so we found parking just outside the lot on the street. It was nothing but a few minutes but by the time we got to the front door (10:10 pm) , however the staff had turned off the opened sign and locked the door. We knocked and the staff completely ignored us and their posted operating hours of service. We were sure they had seen us in the parking lot. We also noticed they were still serving people as plenty of persons were visibly eating, waiters were serving food and there were available tables. We were shocked by their rudeness and total lack of consideration! Surely their business could not be doing so well that they can afford to just lock doors and refuse service to persons so abruptly! I was very upset and called the restaurant , the manager would not respond why they had closed early. Moreover, he would not offer to open to accommodate us despite my telling him we had called to ensure they would be open, it being my birthday and our first time at their establishment. I told him they were very irresponsible and lacked consideration of first time guests. We will never return to this place, they are very rude and totally inconsiderate of the public!!! read more

I gave them a three star because I've had much better Kabab in the past before and wasn't too impressed with how clean the place was. Not that it was dirty but it just didn't look like they were too concerned about having the place spot clean. I've worked in restaurants before and I'm not sure if this place would've gotten an A rating for cleanliness. The rice was decent but the Boneless Chicken Kabab was too dry to eat. This was my first time. It's a good spot with strong service. The food was tasty. Just so you know: this place is loud with synthesizer music and people come dressed to dance. It was very festive but hard to have a conversation. There's an outside patio that we only saw after leaving, so we should have sat there. And it's really kid friendly, so lots of kids run around. I had a lamb stew and hummus with carrots. They were very accommodating to my gluten allergies by bringing carrots instead of pita bread so I could eat the hummus! For dessert I had the chocolate and raspberry ice cream. SO YUMMY. To die for. And the plate was decorated with so much thought.
