I had a special occasion and I asked them if the blueberry sweet rolls were made of real blueberries before I ordered them and they said yes, but when I got them Sept 30, they tasted and had the texture of artificial blueberry flavoring and coloring on chopped apple. I called the manager and told them and they insisted they used real blueberries. Today I was in the shop and asked if I could have them take a picture of the label using my phone and sure enough it is made of mostly apples, although there is a lesser amount of real blueberries in it. The manager on duty (not the same as before) was kind enough to give us a punch card filled out to make up for the situation, after I asked, but I just feel it was still dishonest that they insisted on this after I complained and couldn't just be honest about their mistake or their dishonesty or take a minute to go read the label before continuing to stick to their guns about the ingredients. I would like an apology from the man who misinformed me and an acknowledgement of what happened by him. read more

Went here today for lunch. First, the menu is unreadable: small print on a chalkboard above the cash registers; second the person who waited on us was terrible: she talked fast and all I heard sounded like babble; third, I ordered a BLT (and a drink) which was truly inedible, so I sent it back (the bacon was precooked but not warmed up at all and tasted spoiled), then I ordered the ham and Swiss cheese which was almost as bad (lots of bread, lettuce, almost no tomato or cheese with a couple slices of ham), and finally, this terrible food and drink cost me over $9.00. The only decent food in the whole place is in the bakery. Go for that, or don't go at all. read more

Their rolls are awesome. I always buy their cinnamon and raspberry rolls to give as thank you gifts to friends and family. The lunch menu is great too and although I have never looked at the nutrition information I always feel like it is a more healthy option than many lunch places. read more

So I called them on Friday (October 13th) around noon to place an order for 8 dozen sweet rolls (orange and blueberry flavor). I told them that my boss will be picking them up on Monday October 16th (today) at 7:30am. I ended up talking to two girls, one of them took the information and the other one took my payment. They were both very nice and pleasant. However, when my boss went to pick them up this morning, the girl that he talked to had no clue about the order! Then another girl from the back comes to talk to him and after 5 minutes she realizes that the order was misfiled for tomorrow Tuesday October 17th. Now, I do realize that people makes mistakes, my review is not about expecting perfection, but what bugged me the most was their attitude towards my boss. They didn't provide realistic solutions (ie. "we can give you 4 dozens today and the other 4 dozens tomorrow"....true story), they didn't own their mistake and they even acted annoyed that they had to scramble to get 8 dozen of rolls that they had 2 days in advance to prepare for. Also, this breakfast was a company event, so it's even worse when people are waiting plus all the planning that goes behind the scenes because you are counting on it. Anyway, my boss did leave with the 8 dozens orange and raspberry (not what we originally ordered). It's so sad since their sweet rolls are so good, but having an experience like this, it makes you not want to go back there again, just because of poor customer service. Please train your employees to handle situations like this with more maturity and common sense. Not one time they apologize for the inconvenience/mistake. Saying "I'm sorry" goes a long ways. read more

The Breads--Everything---- it just doesn't matter this place has some elixir that they have that is unreal. I love this place and will recommend them forever. I had purchased 4 dozen sugar cookies for St Pat day for clients. Took 1 out to try and they were the worst cookies ever. They were dry. about 1 inch thick pretty disgusting for a professional bakery. Even my 13 yr old would not eat these. To Shireys credit they acknowledged how bad they were and refunded my money. read more

Their Service is AWFUL! I have been there only three times and they have messed up my order twice. The first order I placed, but then changed my mind on the type of rolls before I left the store. When they went to get the order sheet it was gone. The girl at the cash register had just crumpled it up and threw it away because she didn't know whose it was- Great business sense. Then I put in an order for sweet rolls over the phone. When I went to pick them up they said "they had lost my order" but then later confided that they had sold them to someone else because they were afraid I wasn't going to pick them up even though I was there when I said I would pick them up. On top of that they wouldn't make them for the next day because they had too many orders. They messed up and should have fixed it. I'm not giving them a third change. So Done! read more
