One of the worst shoe store I went to. Horrible experience.. came here to get store credit since my receipt stated 30 days to exchange/ store credit and I had 1 more day to do so since my boyfriend did not fit the shoe and decided he didn't want anything else from the store. Came and unlucky me had this so-called AM, Emily to deal with. What an attitude basically useless of an AM says " nothing I can do, can't provide you store credit." She either needs to get fired or go back and relearn customer servicing. Waste of time and money. Lesson learn- never will I ever purchase anything from this store. This might be my new go to shoe place. I used to shop here a lot in the past but they kept moving locations. Came here twice in two weeks. First time to see what they had & ended up snatching some Adidas sneakers. I was helped by John? Man next time I go I go I'll grab his name & update this. He was attentive, patient and helpful. Which usually isn't the case at shoe stores!! The customer service alone made me feel like buying everything. Lol. It pays to act right on the job. They stick to the more profit generating 14 day policy! Went to the Shoe palace to buy some kicks , My first time to the location in Great mall... Past it 100 times but never went in. Had the styles i liked and the price that beat my other store right down the walk way from them..I'm happy! the cashier guy Sergio was cool too. big Smile and nice to his customers not trying to push anything on you like the other stores I go too. The worst customer service in my life. I got retail raped. Customer service would not leave me alone and let me look at shoes, I wanted. There was this one young lady, who insisted I buy everything I see. I told her, I didn't need a lot of shoes and she was on repeat mode and still insisted I buy them. Then, got mad at me for getting just a tee shirt. I got to the register and she brought a pair of shoes out and told this really big, over weight guy to ring them up for me. He rings them up and the total is over a $100. I'm like, I DON'T WANT THE SHOES. He gets rude and throws the tee shirt and receipt at me, over the counter. Both of them got mad at me. At the end, I got angry. I will never go there again. I didn't get a shopping bag to put my tee shirt in, thanks for shopping with us, or have a nice day. Unless this place is under new management, I had the worst experience here. First of all, its a shoe store. There is no need to train your staff to run around, aggressively approaching potential customers to buy shoes and making people feel like shit because they don't want to buy them. That's a big no-no. Secondly, my husband purchased some shoes, returned them 20 minutes later, and they told him he could not return them because the soles were not clean. My brother came in for a pair of Adidas. The lady that helped us was really nice and checked for sizes. When we were ready to get checked out, she asked us to wait for her boss to ring us up. It did not make sense to how no one else was available to ring us up, when their was three associates on the floor. We waited for about 10 minutes before he came out to assist us. He did apologize for the wait. He wouldn't have to apologize if he cared to assist the customers first, instead of taking his sweet time in the back. There's no reason for customers needing to wait if it's clearly slow on a weekday at the mall. read more

I just walked out of this location, I was being helped through out my whole entire stay by a very rude short girl, she was a brunette with blonde dyed tips(wasn't able to catch her name). Immediately as I walked in and asked for a shoe size She pushed the shoe back into my hands and just said "noooo alll those are size 6 an up." And looked at me with a dumb look. The whole time I was in the store I was getting snarky replies and nasty looks from this young girl. I tried to tolerate her behavior but grew more and more upset. I was finally ready to buy these shoes for my lady and tried to have one of the other employees ring me up completely ignoring the women. But he handed her the shoes and she put the shoes back into their box. Then she walked off and looked like she was going to put the display back on the rack but went to go talk to one of her coworker's. She talked and talked and I got extremely upset because the whole time I see her and her coworker giving me looks. No customer should be treated this way especially when I was ready to pay and I was in the front. She had walked away from me. I do not know who the hell that was girl was but she needs to grow up! As I began walking away I see her yell across the store "Have a great day!" With a giant smile across her face and sarcasm in Her throat. I take a look back and she's laughing with I can presumably say is her manager. What a terrible experience and I am livid. I've shopped Shoe Palace for quite a long time and every time I go to Milpitas it feels like the good old days. A few of the new stores seemed to have adapted to their location - which I assume they had to do. However Milpitas has the service, the fun, and the sizes I need every time. Service is always on point and I always leave buying more then I need. I was really impressed by Lorenzo. He's customer focused, keeps a close on the business and has fun with his employee's. That's not easy in a place like Shoe Palace - everybody wants one on one attention. I think they do a great job. I will be back this weekend! Came in here to buy a long sought after pair of Nikes. They were substantially cheaper here than at any other mall shoe store. The place was cleaner and though it was packed I was attended to quickly. Had plenty of seating as well. Everyone was pleasant. My only complaints: the loudness of the music being played in combination with the brightness of the store (not only the lights but the fact that its all metallic inside) totally gave me a migraine. I've been shoe shopping for the last 3 weeks and from all the shoe stores that I have been too this has got to be one of the friendliest places! They are all super nice and greet you right away! Sean was the first to help us out and he was super friendly and talkative which is such a plus when your looking for shoes! Sergio was the second person to help us out and he was also super nice and friendly! Afterwards I met Darrell and then I realized why all his employees had such great attitudes! They seemed to enjoy being at work and their happy attitudes don't seem forced. That place just has great atmosphere all around! I hate writing bad reviews, but in this case I have to. So I needed a size 7 shoe, but the valley fair location didn't have it so they directed me to great mall. The other guy called the great mall location to have them put it on hold. I drove to great mall & when I went there I talked to the guy called Darryl. Right of the bat he told me they don't have it. I then decided to call the valley fair location again to express my frustration cuz I drove from Valley fair to Milpitas. He started talking shit & I told him I am not mad at anyone I was just frustrated. The dude told me " from San Jose to Milpitas is only 10 mins drive & let's agree to disagree" at that point I raised my voice told him that it shouldn't matter. I am a customer, I drove & wasted my time & therefore he should acknowledge that. Long story short he is rude & needs some customer service training. Someone below said--been to one Shoe Palace? They're all the same--YES. Even the sucky service. They still try to sell you their high overpriced shoe cleaner which is $10 (where you can get it for $5 at Footlocker, Champs, Finishline, etc.) and their water resistant piece of shit that you will never use. It gets so annoying sometimes. They ask EVERY time to EVERY customer and they try to pull you a fast one. For example, "I'll give you my employee discount 50% off for $5." Makes me want to slap their face with the brand new pair of shoes I just bought! Despite all that, I've always been finding the shoes I can't find elsewhere. For instance, the retro 3s last time and the 5s today. In my size too! That is one of the main reason why I gave them an extra star. Another reason for the extra star is for today--I had a good experience. I found the 5s I've been wanting. And with all shoes, I inspected the hell out of them i.e. has it been worn, does it have a crease or stain, scratches, etc. The 5s I inspected today had one little mark which made me hesitant to buy. I told the guy to try to clean it if he can which he tried but the mark would not come off. He did offer to call other places which he did so. But still no luck. I asked him if I could get a discount and he asked his boss but his boss said Js are locked, can't get discount on them. But they did throw in a shoe cleaner for $1 which made me pretty happy because I do clean my shoes often. I believe his name was Louis/Luis. Perhaps if you had a bad experience here, try to find this guy. He might change your mind about Shoe Palace. YAY-YAA. read more

First off, I don't usually write reviews but the service at this store was exceptional. Again, the customer service at this Shoe Palace is AWESOME. I was in here for an EXCHANGE because a shoe I bought at another Shoe Palace was too tight and only they had the right size (after calling around). All the employees were really nice and not pushy/hurrying at all. I was helped by all the employees in the store at least once, including the manager. As someone who second-guesses all the time, I walked out the store completely certain I had made the right decision. They gave really solid advice and ALL the employees were extremely friendly, especially a guy named Rich (Sp?) who even remembered I had called earlier in the week and must have spent ~10 -15 minutes just helping me decide on a size (of course, being aware of other customers too). Ultimately it was the manager's confidence that really convinced me to get the larger size. They are all smiles and very eager to help. You can tell they really value their customers. Also, this store has a huge selection of shoes/models. I called around 15 stores to see if they carried a certain shoe (Vibram Komodosports) in the color (black/grey/gold) I wanted, and they were the only ones who had them & also in the correct size. When I was in the store, I was amazed by the sheer number of shoe models + colors they have. It is a very neat store with shoes lining all the walls. I don't even know how they reach the top shelves. Then again, I'm 5'4 so everything looks tall. I would have spent more time perusing the store but I had a dental appointment scheduled shortly after. A note about returns & exchanges at any Shoe Palace: They don't issue refunds and only take exchanges. You can exchange shoes for store credit or another pair of shoes within 30 days IF they are UNWORN. They do scan the shoes for signs of wear. Basically, don't walk out of the house with the shoes unless you are 100% certain you want them. You can exchange the shoes at any Shoe Palace store, not just the one you bought your shoes from. BOTTOM LINE: I'd recommend this Shoe Palace store to my friends. In fact, I'm dragging my boyfriend there this weekend to get a much needed new pair of shoes. For finding rarer models (especially newer Vibram styles), I'd recommend Shoe Palace in general over other shoe stores. If you have a specific shoe in mind, call the stores beforehand to check if they have them in stock. I can't speak for other Shoe Palace store's customer service though. read more
