This is my first review for a store and it's not good.NEVER ORDER SHOES FROM SHOE PALACE! I order a pair of shoes for my sons basketball season and they never showed up. I checked the tracking number and it said they were delivered, so I called customer service which was very hard to get through I would get put on hold and never answered or if I called back someone would send me to voice mail. I finally get through and told them I never received the shoes I was then told that it takes 30 days for them to run an investigation for $150 pair of Jordan's now mind you I've order well over 200 pairs of shoes from this company and thought they were solid but after this situation I will never order or buy anything from SHOE PALACE. I went here to buy some Nike's. I bough the Nike Air Max 24-7 and also the Air Max 95's. The person who worked there hooked me up with a good deal since I buying two pairs of shoes. They didn't have my size for the Air Max 95, but they located a pair from another location and had them sent to there store within a few days at no extra charge. Typically friendlier than the foot locker at this mall. Not rly service oriented but what do u expect from a sneaker spot. They do usually have better selection than foot locker or champs. Terrible customer service as an establishment. My friend and I walk in the store and we are not even welcomed into the store. After about 5 minutes my friend found the shoe he wanted to try on. But still, NO ONE WAS EVEN AROUND TO HELP US! So when I decided to take matters into my own hands and ask for help, I was rudely ignored twice before I got a response. The worker was a white lady with really long hair and she told us that we would be helped. 10 minutes after that we were still sitting on the uncomfortable seats waiting to be helped. always swing by here when I come to tanforan, what stands out about this place than all the others is their wide selection in shoes. Finishline and footlocker don't have even close to as much to choose from combined. They have so many shoes here I noticed that they started putting them on the ground because there is no more room. I went to buy a pair of sneakers and the store on the upper level didn't have my size, so they told me to check the other store below them. I was really happy with an employee by the name of Juan Palomino who went the extra mile to find what I was looking for. He searched more than once and found the pair I wanted in my size which is almost always hard to find. The other guy who I believe was the manager wasn't too helpful. He didn't even bother to look for what I needed and just said "All we have is what is on display". So thank you Juan for all your help and for going above and beyond. This store is terrible. words can't describe how fuckin pissed off i was. So i went to shoe palace last night (the day before the lebron south beach 9s were released) and they had this retarded ticket thing where u got a ticket and you tell the security guard what size you get. I thought that we were going to camp and get a med size pair for sure because i was one of the first ones there but I reserved a pair and went back home for the night, I come back in the morning around 10:30 and my friend gets his 10.5 and my other friend got his size 7. i had reserved a size 6.5 and I told them what size i reserved, i had my name written on their clipboard with the size shoe i reserved. I give them the ticket and they say that they had just sold my pair. I ended up having to go to serramonte to get a pair and everyone was 10x more friendly and got what i needed quickly. I don't think I've ever been this frustrated. They are huge assholes, and ignorant fucks. Im never com in back there again... so my advice to you guys, never get any of your releases there. read more

Your better off just buying your shoes from a major retailer. The Owner/Manager is very rude when it comes to customer service. Once he takes your money there is no refunds, only exchange. But when it comes to an exchange thats when his professionalism stops. (ie he has your money). he really dont care and then cusses at you behind your back. This place was the worst store I have been to in recent memory. I took my son in today to look for a pair of basketball shoes and there were five staff members all watching one girl try on a jacket. No one was helping customers! When one employee, who was on a cell phone, noticed my son looking at shoes she told him to look on the other wall and turned away. He found a pair he wanted to try on and I wanted to check his shoe size but they didn't have any foot sizers in the store. I had to walk up to the register to find a salesperson and he was not enthusiastic at all about looking for any shoes. Kept calling my son "bro" and offering to guess at the size. We finally found a size that fit and went to pay but a manager needed to ring us up. He came a few minutes later (talking on the cell phone) and while he was standing there talking, a random emplyee tried to upsell us some shoe spray and sprayed it all over one side of the new shoes! The stuff smelled horrible and I started coughing and waving the cloud of spray away. Who does that? The manager finally got off the phone and rang us up (got annoyed when I told him I already had a shopping bag) and I got out of there. Arrogant a-hole. Return policy is basically you can't do it. My shoes were uncomfortable, but no matter, I wore them an hour or so. Why do people put up with such horrid customer service? If there were negative stars, I would give this shop a million-and-one negative stars. Firstly, I commuted all the way from Berkley to Tanforan in San Bruno. I had visited this mall earlier and saw these shoes at Shoe Palace that I really liked, and couldn't find those specific shoes anywhere else near me. I went straight to the shoes that I had already seen and tried them on. The lady who was assisting me gave me the shoe that was on display, and the other shoe it came with. I was ready to purchase them, however, I didn't want the pair she gave since it was the ones on display and it was very evident that it had been used, and worn, and even had some stains on it. So I asked for another pair because this one is already worn and has stains, and I want a new pair. She was being extremely stubborn and claimed that these shoes were just put on display in the morning and that she will not give me another, new pair. What a stupid excuse, right? Why be so stubborn, just give the customer a new pair, how hard is that?? She wouldn't give any reason as to why she won't give a new pair besides saying that "It was just put out." Okay, so what if it was just put out? For customer satisfaction you should give a new damn pair. She was showing a lot of attitude, and quite rude. Anyways she then said this, "I GUARANTEE you, these are the cheapest shoes of this kind that you will find in this ENTIRE mall. All the other shops sell it for over a hundred dollars." So I took her by her word, still a little uneasy about get a USED pair of shoes, I proceeded to purchase the pair. After the purchase, I walked over to Sheik just to check out if they had similar shoes, and to compare prices. Now get this: I found the EXACT SAME PAIR OF SHOES for THIRTY DOLLARS CHEAPER, and the lady at Sheik gave me a NEW PAIR of shoes to try on instead of giving me USED shoes like the lady at Shoe Palace did. I tried them on, they fit perfectly and they were a brand new pair. The lady who was assisting me at shoe palace said she "GUARANTEED" that I will not find that shoe for cheaper. Well guess what lady? I sure as hell did. I went straight back to Shoe Palace, and told that lady that I just found a shoe for $30 cheaper, and that she "guaranteed" that I won't find it for cheaper anywhere else. She stuck with her attitude, and her over confident self and said that there are no refunds and I can only receive store credit. Umm, no I don't want store credit I want my money back. She made a false claim that I wouldn't find the shoes for cheaper, and I proved her wrong. A guarantee is a guarantee. Her manager, who was just as rude, came over and likewise said that there are no refunds and that the only thing he can do is give me store credit. When I just bought the shoes THREE MINUTES AGO. Most stores do a price match in which if a customer finds the exact same product at a lesser price, the store will match it up to their product and pay you the difference. I asked the manager, if he couldn't give me a refund to at least price match it. He said that they don't do that and he was astonished about the fact that stores do that and stated that he never even heard what that was. Like wtf lol. Now, not only did I get robbed of $30 over at Shoe Palace, but I also left with one of the shoes already being used. The employees and manager are rude, inconsiderate, don't stick by their word, make false accusations, and have shitty customer service. I will never shop at shoe palace again and I recommend no one to shop here either. You're better off at Sheik, Finish Line, or Foot locker; they all serve extremely great customer service and better prices. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went in today to look for shoes and I was just browsing around when this girl shouts from across the room asking me what size I need instead of greeting me within a reasonable distance. I asked her to bring me a size 3 in kids. She hands me a 4 without telling me, so it threw me off when I tried it on. I looked at the shoe size and it was a 4. I told the sales associate that I asked for a 3. She then proceeds to tell me that I am wearing a size 4. She was flat out wrong. I was wearing a size 3. I was flabbergasted because I am pretty sure I know my own feet better than she does. She was so persistent on selling me the size 4 by saying that it will be better if I was walking around a lot and it was only loose because the shoe laces weren't tied all the way. I don't know if she took me for an idiot because everyone knows that shoes expand with your feet in time so why on earth would I want an even bigger shoe? She told me I would be back in three weeks. I'll have you know that I won't be back in three weeks. You can actually count on the fact that I will never return to this store ever again. This shoe store isn't the only shoe store in Tanforan, and even if it was, I still wouldn't shop here. read more
