Food: Smash style Burger was mediocre as far as taste factor and I had to request to add lettuce to make it comparable to the usual In N out full fixe'n the like. It was nice to know that I asked and was granted a pepper jack cheese option rather than American yellow cheese.$11 The Fries were good in their version of "Animal Style" with grilled onions and 1000-Island dressing on top with American cheese. Good portion too. $9 The Horchata Shake was very Addicting and tasted fantastic like you're going to regret it if you don't share. 100% guilt full of sin due to its amazing perfection.$11 HazzaH !!!! Military Discount was accepted (10%) Sadly, No Combo option so you will pay tourists prices if you want the whole spread. Total cost would have been slightly over $50 if not for the Military Discount.

Upon arrival, the owner greeted us with open arms, explained everything on the menu from top to bottom. Highly recommend every item on the menu. Especially the milkshake is to die for. Service was impeccable definitely coming back.

Shooby's opened this week in Camarillo at the Mark and I was super excited to see what this place was all about. The menu is straightforward with burgers, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches and different variation of fries. Honestly, everything looked good but a burger and fries were calling my name. A+ for hospitality because everyone was so friendly and staff member Shanee was an absolute vibe! We talked book clubs, burgers, and dragon tattoos....who doesn't love making new friends during our foodie adventures!? OK now onto the food...what you really came here for...here's what I got: Classic Shooby Burger: two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and aioli (I added ketchup too). This is a bold statement to make but THIS WAS THE BEST BURGER I'VE HAD IN CAMARILLO YET. 10/10. The char on the burger was insane and it was so flavorful. It's made smashburger style and was seriously delicious. For such a simple burger in theory, it was phenomenal and I can't stop thinking about it...please go try this! Shooby Fries: bomb crispy fresh french fries topped with a special sauce, cheese, and grilled onions. These were so good and held up really well with all the toppings, no soggy fries here! Another must order dish. 10/10. The spot is new, but once word gets out, I know it's going to be super popular. I know some people were skeptical about another burger spot coming to town, but this one is THE spot. Trust me. Delicious food, the friendliest staff, and a great dining environment at the Mark to sit back and enjoy your meal. Definitely go check this spot out ASAP.

Service is quick, much quicker than Freda's. Price is about what you'd expect for the size of the burger with today's inflation. The ambiance remains a brewery, ice cream shop, and then this eatery under apartments in this mixed-use old town area. However the food is, well, good for those who are drinking beer that want a greasy burger I guess. We had the classic Shooby and the regular Shooby with regular fries. The classic Shooby had cheese, lettuce, special sauce, tomato and onion. While the regular Shooby just has grilled onions, special sauce and cheese. Everything tasted a bit salty, while the burgers tasted a bit oniony and gritty even without the onions. The fries were bland, but ranch made them taste better. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was worth coming back for. If I were drinking at Topa Topa with friends I'd have a burger here but that's about the only way I'd come back. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

First time in since they recently opened and had a great experience. The staff was immediately helpful answering questions. We went with a Lil Shooby (kids), The Shooby, a Fried Chicken Sandwich, and fries. Once the food arrived the owner came out shortly after to check in. He took one look at the fried chicken sandwich and offered to get a new one as he said it looked a little over done and the Parmesan dressing lettuce topping was too wet. We said it was good but some minutes later he came back with a new one saying he has to make sure we were given the best experience. He truly cared about our meal. My picky eater child ate the entire Lil Shooby so all around wins! We will definitely be back.

My wife loves a good smash burger and I saw earlier on social media Shooby's had opened in Camarillo recently. Jumped on Yelp to look at reviews and it was a mixed bag, but more good than bad reviews. It's always best to make your own opinion on an establishment and not get discouraged by others, especially when there are more good reviews than bad. Great location in Old Town Camarillo, Shooby's shares space with a creamery and Topa Topa Brewing so it's like a food court, so if you want to enjoy a cold brew at Topa Topa you can sit there and enjoy your smash burger as well. Simple design with tables inside as well as outside for Al Fresco dining. Staff was friendly taking the order, while several people cooking and preparing with one person delivering orders to the tables, that means inside their dining room, outside dining area and at tables in Topa Topa. Didn't wait long at all for our order and everything came out hot and very tasty. Smash Burgers were delicious, great flavor and seasoning. Fries were medium cut and very good, we shared an order and it was plenty. Loved the house made pickles served with the burgers, on the side. Reasonably priced and recently opened so give them time to decorate, their priority is to put out good food. Style it up on your slow or off time, it takes time people to make the place their own. Great concept sharing with a brewery and creamery offering something for everyone. We now have a local brick and mortar location for smash burgers and Shooby's delivers the goods. Well done, great effort and hard working staff. Bravissimo Shooby's keep it up you got this! Mangiamo

Chicken Caesar wrap with approximately 3 small bites of chicken throughout half a wrap

I'll start this with maybe I ordered the wrong thing. My wife and I split a Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap and fries, but it was nothing I'd come back for. Hardly any chicken in it (refer to the photo) and it was a bit lackluster. The Caesar dressing was good, but not enough to save the dish. The fries were all the worst parts about in-n-out fries, they were okay when hot, but 2 minutes later they turned into dry cardboard. I miss Freida's pizza, and I won't be back here anytime soon.

Since this place is new I went to give it try, ordered over 25 minutes for my food to go, I had no problem waiting. Took my food and when I got home my food (classic shooby) was missing. Customer service was good, I live less then a mile from this place and my food was almost cold by the time I got home (got home in 3min)

They both genuinely looked so happy to be there, which really just brightened my day. This was by far the cleanest food truck I've ever seen. No I didn't actually jump on up there, but from what I could see, it was spotless. Sparkling even. Falafel is such a difficult dish to make right, I often find myself extremely disappointed. I took a chance and I'm SO happy I did! They were super crispy on the outside but light and airy on the inside. Amazing flavor. I also loved the shape!! Like cutie little chickpea donuts Keep in mind this is a Syrian inspired truck, so Middle Eastern flavors, not Mediterranean. I say that because I'm so used to seeing Greek joints cook up falafel. This was different and I really really enjoyed it. Everything from the sides to the sauces were so delicious. Spot on. Can't wait to be back!

To me, that is what pound cake is supposed to be: simple, flavorful, comforting, and made with care. LEMON IN THE TITLE (NO SO MUCH IN THE CAKE) Unfortunately, the lemon pound cake I purchased today for over $15 did not come close to that standard. The color, flavor, and dense, bready interior all pointed to a missed opportunity. I was especially disappointed that the lemon flavor lacked brightness. There was no real sense of lemon zest in the cake or icing, which is what gives a lemon pound cake its character and lift. ICING - EPIC UNDERPERFORMANCE The icing also fell flat. Instead of tasting like a thoughtful glaze or cream cheese-style icing infused with lemon, it came across more like powdered sugar and water sitting on top of the cake. It checked the box visually, but it did not enliven the cake or the senses. NO FUTURE SALE HERE (UNLESS THE PRODUCT IMPROVES) For $15, I should have been excited to come back for another one and maybe pick one up for a friend. Sadly, that was not the case. I would love to see this store put more care into honoring the pound cake tradition with excellence, because pound cake lovers know the difference.

The waitress and waiter had a very positive attitude towards the customers. They were friendly and had conversations with everyone who walked through their doors. They had plenty to choose from. I got the "Roxy's" Chicken & Waffles: it came with fried chicken tenderloins, served on top of a buttermilk waffle, with honey, bacon, and one sunny side egg. The chicken was so flavorful. It was well season and cooked right. It was crunchy and flaky. It wasn't oily either. That was a huge plus. I also had a bite of the Huevos Rancheros: it came with two fried eggs, two corn tortillas, mashed black beans, pepper jack cheese, grill jalapeño and your choice of salsa served with breakfast potatoes and we added the Carne Asada for five dollars. I also tasted the Avocado Toast: it was serve with guacamole spread sprinkled with red flakes, extra olive oil, cherry tomatoes, arcadian mix, and balsamic glazed drizzle. It was so delicious . We got a side of onion rings they were so good and crispy. Also the pancakes it was thin it looked like a crepe. It was cute came with a paw print. The cappuccino was tasty. The organic strawberries lemonade was delicious and refreshing. The latte was also delicious. Overall: I'd go back if I was in the area again. There's a variety of seating options--booths, tables, high-tops, and communal tables. I'm sure the pastries on the menu came from a third-party vendor, but they were really good. Mother's Day Was Ruined. And I Need the Owner to Know…read more Let me tell you something. I've worked in five-diamond restaurants. I've worked Applebee's got the pin to prove it. Fried chicken spots. Everything in between. So when I tell you what happened here, know that I'm not some customer who doesn't understand how restaurants work. I know exactly how they work. My best friend lives in Camarillo and honey, he has been raving about this place for months. Every time someone comes to visit, he brings them here. He made our Mother's Day reservations well in advance. Our party of six. This man has easily dropped thousands of dollars in this restaurant. He loves this place. Loved. We arrived early. Server was ok. Seated us at 11, full house, two-hour window we understood the assignment. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Everything came out hot and fast. We're laughing, talking, having the best time and then I look down at my plate. There is a bug. Crawling. Through my eggs. My son grabbed his phone and got the picture. My husband God bless him, shot up to find a manager because that's what you do. That's what any reasonable person does. He found her. Her name is Cheryl. And Cheryl said... "You should've taken it up with the server." Strike one. Then she walks over to our table with an attitude and before I can even hand her my plate, she looks at me and says, "How do you want your eggs?" Like I'm supposed to take the same food back. The food with the bug in it. I was stunned. Not just by the question by the energy. It was off putting. She was annoyed. Like somehow WE were the problem. My kids were horrified. My best friend, the man who loves this restaurant was completely embarrassed. I asked to look at the menu. I wanted something different. Reasonable, right? We waited. The server came back, completely in the dark, said something like "I guess something was wrong with your food?" Sweet kid. Felt terrible when we filled him in. I said I'd just take a burger. He said of course they'd remove the chicken and waffles. THEN he came back. "We're going to have to charge you for the burger." WTH, I thought he had lost his entire mind. He disappeared again, came back, apologized I believe he genuinely felt bad. This has happened before when I have been a server and a manager is more than happy to offer you another dish and take off the other one. But Cheryl? The manager? Never came back. NOT once. Instead, she made her rounds to every single table AROUND us. Laughing. Greeting people. Interacting with guests. For 15 to 20 minutes, we sat there and watched her deliberately avoid our table. And that's when it hit me the thing I didn't want to think. I looked around. Really looked around. And we were the only ones. WELL, I was the only one who was African American woman. Me and my kids. My bestie and my hubby are of European descent. I don't SAY that lightly. Honestly? It makes me sick to even say it. But I couldn't find another explanation. Neither could my friend, who sat straight up in his chair and saw it too up close and personal. He was angry. I had to calm everyone down and say this wasn't worth it. I canceled the burger. We left. It was the worst Mother's Day I have ever had in my life. I have never been treated like this before. It's 2026. People have diverse families. What happened?! To the owner -- I'm hoping you're not her, and I'm hoping you read this. Your friend lost a loyal customer who brought everyone he knew through your doors. You lost our table, our money, and our trust the moment Cheryl decided we didn't matter. The moment she decided that she couldn't be bothered. I travel all around the world speaking, training and I have never been treated to poorly. I called hoping to speak to the OWNER. Cheryl called me back. Are you for real? She HAD a chance to make it right. But clearly she didn't care. She had every opportunity to make it right. She chose not to.
