Been to store many times and find the service and knowledge of the staff great. I come from a service background in hotels and appreciate the staff being very helpful and knowledgeable on the products supplied. They have a great selection of different types of hand guns and rifles, tho I wish they had more ak's but that's just personal preference. Prices are in line with the market. read more

What I do find interesting is that all the negative reviews have no friends ( not surprising ) and have done one review or have done multiple reviews ( witch are all negative ). Wouldn't sell me a gun because the address on the front of my ID wasn't my current address. There is NO LAW stating that the address on the front of my ID has to be current to buy a gun. If you go to the DMV and ask for a replacement ID with the current address, they will simply tell you to write it on the back. I have bought dozens of guns with my current address written on the back of my ID without issue from several other shops. They told me to go get a hunting license with my current address on it and come back the next day LOL. When I asked them if this was a state law or store policy I was simply told "It should be a law". I just can't wrap my head around this bizarre store policy. 2 stars, because at least the people are always friendly... read more

This shot is huge I think they put every gun in inventory in the cases, so it looks great. They always seem to be crammed with guns, even these days. Well, I did not have the best first experience with this shop. I put a $150 deposit on a used p7m13 in box, $1500 was a great price,underpriced by $500. Then I went back to buy it and found a 99% Remington military semi auto shotgun model 11 on consignment for $1050. A quick call to the owner, and I had it for $975. It was a $1200 gun in the values book, and probably more then that as the books are always behind. My 4473 was filled out and submitted at 11 am. I left and went to another shop, went and did some work. Came back at 1, still not back. Came back at 2 after a late lunch. Nothing. Hung around until 2:30. They finally called back to the state bureau and I was all set. I am sure the approval was done hours before and misplaced. They should have called back at 1. This was a weekday! I paid for the guns at 11 am, but now after 3 1/2 hrs they had to run the register again on it, for some reason, and the numbers were wrong. The wrong consignment was used, and the salesperson could not fix it.They called the head cashier from downstairs. After 15 more minutes I told them I absolutely had to leave due to an appt with my attorney for a refi. They could not make it work, and could not give me my guns. They took back my receipt, which I actually offered to help them figure it out, and they refused to give it back. Thank God I did not pay cash! One good thing about using credit cards. So I went home. 20 minutes after I left the owner called to apologize. He said he would "make it up to me" next time I was in. It was a real scene, as the woman who made the initial error was crying. I went back monday and they rang me out. The figures were STILL wrong. They forgot to credit me with the $150 deposit. I waited for the owner to come in to discuss, he did not even remember the incident from the prior week. Not sure how much more I want to deal with them. read more

Went there for after Christmas deals, they still have lots or powder and reloading components. They do due FFL transfers for $35 dollars which is the average pricing and nice to have access to a dealer that will transfer online purchases. Weird thing is they have multiple identical firearms on display with prices varies up to $250, same model and condition. Guy next to me wanted to buy their wasr-10 folder ak for $899 but was told it was over priced and it was better for them to buy it online and transfer to them because they overpaid for the ak during the last gun scare. What I like is they Id all people buying ammunition and magazines to keep the Massachusetts people from buying out ammo and mags they can't get in mass, mAybe it will motivate them to change their laws down there. I've been to stores in NH, Mass, NY, VT and more and this is by far the best. My only issue is that I live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts, so I can't buy most of their guns! It is my #1 ammo stop when passing through. I have bought 9mm boxes as low as $13.99 (Blazer Brass). Almost always in stock, very organized, well priced and always friendly. I went there to consign my semi-automatic pistols. Their service was excellent and very professional. After the paperwork was done, I looked around the store to see what they got and how the place was run. Again I was impressed by how well the retail machine was smoothly operating. The wait time for assistance was reasonable, people were courteous and knowledgeable. The store's inventory was fantastic and huge. Their Sig Sauer display is the best I have seen in Souther in NH. This place is absolutely awesome. As everyone else has said, they aren't trying to gouge or screw anyone over. The staff is friendly. The facility is gorgeous. They have everything firearm related you can think of, whether it's apparel, accessories, ammo, firearms, tools, etc. I have a feeling I will be a lifelong Shooters customer. Even their phone system is great if you want to call in to see if they have what you are looking for in advance. And unlike Walmart, they are happy to answer questions and help you out. Poor service, unhelpful staff. They have blue line pricing but make it basically impossible to use for both veterans and active duty service members. We will be taking our service elsewhere where we are treated right. Not a female friendly business.... I went there yesterday afternoon and was looking at some ammo and was approached by an employee as he said and I quote, "Excuse me Sir can I help you?" I looked up at him and he immediately said he was sorry. I let it slide and found they only carry cheap dirty ammo in bulk so I moved on to upstairs to look at a new weapon to purchase. I walked around the cases looking at the brand I wanted to see. When I found it I stopped ans waited for an employee to ask me if I needed help or even some acknowledgment that I was there waiting. I waited for 10 minutes and watched as others were helped, all men of course. Now most of my friends are men so I have no gender issue, but I will say as a female who loves her weapons this place made me feel completely invisible and that brought on the feeling of insulted too, thinking back to my first encounter when I arrived. Well in conclusion I didn't take me long to walk out of there before my temper took hold and I did something bad. Drove home cooled down after being insulted and then I called to speak to the manager. He sounded no older than 15 on the phone and did not listen to the words I was saying and didn't even understand what had happened. I will not go back even and urge others to not use this place. The owner who ever it is has to train their staff to be gender neutral when addressing people as well as get some women on staff you stupid owners. There are lots of women who use firearms and have knowledge and there are those of us who love to learn and would also be great employees. CHANGE your business practices. read more

Bought a used revolver with the assistance of an employee this past weekend. After taking it to the range I found a screw was broken and the gun was unsafe to fire at the advice of a friend who is a police officer. Unable to drive back to Shooters Outpost i called to find out if they would repair the gun or give me a store credit. When the employees that answered the phone once I reached the gun department could not answer this question I was transferred to the owners voice mail. I have left several messages with out any response. Yes Shooters Outpost has a large inventory and great looking building. But i guess customer service is not a priority for just one small purchase. read more

Have to use my store credit to buy something I don't need after I was sold something that was TOLD to me by your representative it would work for my rodent problem. Found out it wouldn't work after getting home, and YES, reading the owners manual. When returned to the store to discuss the problem was told by your clerk, "Our staff does not make those kinds of mistakes". Having staff myself, I would like to know where you find these perfect employees. I do appreciate the store credit, that was YOUR option, but problem was solved talking to a different shop by just using a different ammo in the weapon I already owned. I was surprised by poor customer support. When we went to the store the sales person said the gun would be on sale to Dec 24th. Couldn't buy it then since we were getting on an airline. Came back Dec 18th to buy two of the guns. Were told that the sale was not on anymore and the owner would not honor what her employee told us. She said it was just a two week sale. Sorry, but the employee confirmed what he told us and not to honor that to me is wrong. Shooters, you lost two customers. read more

I do have to say the owner of shooters outpost and Manchester firing rang is pretty rude. Me being a youth shooter had a couple of intelligent technical questions to ask him about a sporting shotgun me and my parents where looking to purchase for me to duck hunt with. And when I was talking to him he was extremely rude and treated me like a ignorant child. I was in his store with a pocket full of cash willing to give him business and he treated me like Crap. Luckily his employes are a lot easier to deal with and they actually assisted me in finding the right shotgun that I love and I now will not allow him to assist me when me and my parents there to purchase anything. Went to Shooters for the first time today to purchase a HK. Big disappointment! Once they found out I was a dual resident of Mass and NH, they refused to sell me the gun. They said since we are "weekend warriors" they didn't feel comfortable. Even though the gun is mass compliant and I have my Mass LTC-A. Selective sellers. Mass residents beware. Prices way too high, found the gun $300 cheaper. We will never set foot in there again and will advise our friends to do the same. read more

Best gun shop in NH.

I went there with a friend who wants to get her first pistol. The store is gorgeous inside, it's well-organized, there is a TON of merchandise on 2 floors, and the sales person who helped us was friendly and knew a lot about the firearms he sells. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable. I wish there was a store like this in Massachusetts. But of course, there can't be, because 85% of the guns in Shooter's Outpost are illegal in Mass... read more

The reviews are correct I was greeted and welcomed to the store. I was also offered help on several occasions. I will make it a point to come in there when I am in the area. Visited Shooters Outpost last week. I was very impressed with the store. Very clean, neat & merchandise was displayed well. The lighting was great, all the counters & displays were well-lit, bright but easy on the eyes. I found there prices were moderate, but given the lack of sales tax, and the fact that they are an almost new store, and a lot of money was spent on making it so nice, I didn't mind spending my money there at all. The staff was friendly & courteous, and I was very excited when I walked in, seeing the large selection of guns and accessories. I wish the store was closer to me, because I would certainly visit more often. read more

Prices are pretty good, variety is pretty good. I get the "gun-guy" attitude from some of the employees but others are fine, I just have a hard time buying from people who talk down to me or have a bad attitude, I wont go to Riley's and this place is getting to that point now. I might go back to Manchester firing line and see if they purged the ex-rileys employees over to shooters and have someone without the attitude over there instead but we will see. If not I will just continue to find other places to buy my guns, I would rather spend more to support a place that treats me well then save a couple bucks and get some "I am way to cool and know way to much" gun guy attitude. I should mention that I am pretty gun knowledgable as well and cant even Imagine what it is like for someone who isn't. read more

Last week, I went gun shopping in NH for the first time since moving here. I went to six different gun shops located from the Mass border up to Hooksett. Shooters Outpost was far and away the best shop I went to. That's not to say that the other shops were bad. They all had their good points. But Shooters was just a cut above in all respects. Their inventory is best. Their store size and layout is the best (in comparison to the competition, this is no contest). And in my limited experience, their service is the best. I was in the market for four different pistols. I priced them at the other five southern NH stores I visited. Shooters Outpost's price was better or the same on all four guns. I bought two of them on the spot. I couldn't be happier and I will be back. Go check them out. read more
