I went to this sloppily operated clearing house , (ONLY) because ''Riley's is out of business''. ''An I would conclude'' only because of lack of the space and inventory advantages of a building like shooters. Riley's was around a lot longer , many yrs before Carey's Building was built or even thought of ! Per Carey's ''inference'' . (that ''Riley's is out of business) , because her store is ''better or better run''.. I went there looking to see what they had for shotgun's for low money . To add to my home security tools and some ammo . As I didn't feel like my (SD9 VE) , was enough to adequately protect my family from harm in differing situation's . I've had a license to carry in the State of NH , since 3/21/2014 . Which Gov Sununu converted to Constitutional carry , shortly after he took office . By signing the Bill allowing it , which was already on his desk passed by the NH Legislature . When I was 21 yrs old, I was issued 2 back to back , (Massachusetts) licenses to carry a pistol by a guy at the time , named ''Chief Daniel Fasulu''- Captain , Haverhill PD. (10 YRS) Never a problem then , either. ''2, F.B.I. background checks for each of those also''. I than went , in july , 2013 to Riley's with my wife wear I attempted and eventually succeeded , after being denied twice by Rileys . By going to the NH State Police in Concord to eventually receive information from a women state police Sargent , that there were active warrants for child support . And that I needed to clear up that issue . So I went home , that was a Friday. I called the Haverhill PD that night , ( 25 yrs later) . I spoke to an officer in Haverhill , who said I should do the right thing and appear in Haverhill district court to resolve it. That was on a Friday night , I told the officer I would appear and turn myself in on Monday morning , ''and I did''. They questioned me and subsequently that morning as I stood in front of the judge and a pretty hard nose prosecutor . He, after being asked by a women judge , ''what do yo want to do with this case (have him come back at a later dat or?). At which point , he said I want to dismiss the case , the judge said ''are you sure''? He said yes your honor , ''I just want to dismiss the whole thing. The child is 40 yrs old now . And she dismissed the case. I shook his hand and said ''thank you''. Because ultimately . I could have been put in county jail . Here I was attempting to buy a gun while there were active warrants on me for child support and failure to appear for that case . But I had no clue, because we had left Mass. More than 15 yrs before. So I never knew about the warrant's, witch were issued , long after I was no longer living in that area . until I was subjected to a routine background check trying to buy a gun . And decided to go to the State Police in Concord to find out why . I then , as I said , proceeded to get it straightened out. And did . I was subjected to at least two background checks to successfully purchase my (SD9 VE) , I was then subjected to another F.B.I. background check which took another 10 days to get my concealed carry Permit , by the Tilton PD Chief . (Relevance) : I've had more background checks than any of you ! CAREY , YOUR PEOPLE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL , that queen I talked to on the phone (after 3 tries ) was a screeching banshee , Your so called crew at the counter with me didn't know what they were doing. They failed to disseminate the correct info regarding what I needed to do to correct the issue as to why I was (DENIED) . So maybe . YOU NEED TO BETTER EDUCATE YOUR EMPLOYEE'S ! I don't appreciate being looked at as I'm walking out the door , like I'm some kind of criminal , attempting to buy a gun illegally . You , your store and your people are a joke . If I COULD. Shooter's is by far is best outdoors/shooting store that I've been to. They a huge inventory and always have what I'm looking for. The staff at Shooter's are outstanding! They are polite, friendly, and very knowledgable. It's the subtle things that have always made my visits to Shooter's enjoyable. Their store layout makes sense and is easy to find what I need. I've been to other shops where it's hard to tell where one section ends and another begins. At Shooter's, everything is organized and there's always someone within earshot to help out. The best part about Shooters (besides their huge selection of firearms) is the store atmosphere. When you walk into shooters, it's not like walking into a store, it's like walking into a community. It's welcoming. It's one of those shops where you can walk into and feel like you're appreciated right away. It's no surprise that there are so many returning customers. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Whether you know nothing about firearms and are looking for your first gun or you're a collector looking to add some new items to your safe, they will have what you need and go above and beyond to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Not only do they have the best service, but they have the best prices. It seems like they always have the customer in mind when they make the price tags. They carry great products and they're prices won't empty your wallet. I live two hours north of Shooters Outpost and it is worth the drive every time. Great selection and fair prices however.. 1) If you'd like to "pick" a number and wait extended times for any type of service, this is the place for YOU. 2) If you'd like to purchase a firearm and have your personal information broadcasted to everyone within ear shot distance, this place is for YOU. One would think a company using a modern POS and inventory system would utilize the NICS ATF-4473 e-Check online correct? Nope! Any bystander with ill intent could easily obtain multiple names, addresses, and social security numbers of patrons purchasing a firearm. 3) If you'd like to visit an establishment multiple times, with $5k-$8k ready to drop on suppressors, waiting over 40 minutes at the counter, and never receiving the minute customer service to close on an easy sale, this place is for YOU. 4) If you'd like good examples of how not to carry a firearm concealed from staff members, this is the ultimate place to spectate (and laugh at) poor holster options, locations, and weapon choices, this place is for YOU. If one could imagine the sight of someone trying to conceal a brick located in the 4 o'clock or appendix position, you'll definitely find it here. I wish I could recommend this establishment as the displays, product placement, and selection are impeccable. Unfortunately the lack of genuine customer service and zero protection of people's personal information in the day of unprecedented identity theft has left me no choice but to avoid ever making a purchase here. read more

I'm a young woman and I made the decision to purchase a handgun to carry for personal protection after moving to Manchester. I stopped into Shooters briefly when I was still on the fence to feel it out. I was greeted immediately, offered assistance and never once pressured to make any sort of buying decision. I didn't purchase a gun that day but returned a few weeks later. My second time in my experience was just as pleasant. I believe the young man who helped me was named Matt. I told him I was interested in a Sig and he spent whatever time I needed retrieving multiple from the case, educating me throughout the process and being all around genuine. The woman who rang me out that day asked me if it was my first hand gun purchase and reinforced my buying decision. I work in retail management and have been nothing short of impressed with the staff each time I've stepped foot inside, it can't be easy some days selling firearms and it is admirable that the team at shooters is consistent with their service and morale. My son bought his first gun two weeks ago, after saving up his money, as soon as he turned 18. He was having a problem with the trigger, so he brought it back and the techs oiled it for him. After going to the range he was still having the same problem, and asked the range officer to take a look at it. He thought there might be a manufacturing issue with the trigger. We went back to Shooter's together and spoke to the owner's son, who explained that they would have to send it out since they did not do refunds, but it was still under the manufacturer's warranty. My son would be without his equipment for 10 business days. He said he would make a phone call, and about 5 minutes later he came out with his father, and they had already switched the trigger out for him. They went above and beyond repairing it at the store instead of sending it out. My son was bummed thinking that he bought something defective and would be without the gun for a couple of weeks. It was great that they went ahead and switched out the trigger for him. This was his first experience making a big purchase as an adult, and he will be a customer for life. Shooter's Outpost always has an impressive variety of firearms to peruse. Ranging from Ar-15 Platform, as well as all parts; to used firearms. Everytime I walk through the door, I can expect to be welcomed by an employee in a professional manner. Their selection of reloading equipment is vast (however I would like to see Lee Reloading Equipment). Their ammunition selection is very impressive, as I'm always sure to find the oddball calibers I'd look for. My only issue, be it minor, is their response rate through Facebook messenger. There have been times where they've responded within minutes, and there have been times where it took several days, however it is understandable, especially since I do not expect to see employees on Facebook all day responding to those questions opposed to helping customers in store. The customer service is excellent due to the staff of highly informed and competent employees! W With the addition of the Copper Jacket cafe next door, it is quite luxurious to be able to fill out a 4473 l, go get lunch, and then walk 100 feet back to the store to find your paperwork all set and ready to checkout. read more

This is a great place, as a female I have have shooting different types of firearms since I was a little girl, but when you go to certain places to buy or even look at the wares sone places make you feel uncomfortable. I have had only two bad experiences in all my life I'm 28 now one Belmont. Second time same place, I decided to try this place boy was I pleased masks are not forced but an option, the staff is knowledgeable and polite and very kind, not chauvinistic at all that was a bit of a surprise. The prices are fair if not the best in NH period. My husband basically was taught the brains how to reload by chad here and he was very patient. I can't say enough good about this place I don't know about other locations but the hookset one has to be one of the best shooting sports stores in NH I shopped a lot at Riley's sadly they closed. Fortunately I drove up the street a short way to a great place I bet a first time buyer would be very welcome and comfortable here. I have frequented the main store for many many years and purchased my last two new handguns from them. Their prices have always been at least competitive if not better and they have always been pleasant to deal with. My biggest incentive to purchase all that I can from them, stems back to when .22 and 9mm ammo was scarce and accessories like extended mags couldn't be kept in stock. During this period, they never jacked the prices to gouge their customers as many did. I purchased some 25 round clips at their fair market price then, while checking two other places, where the prices had been jacked as much as 150% for the identical Ruger clips. "Just because you can . . . Doesn't mean you should." They earned my respect for their upstanding Business "Character" when times were tough, and now I stand by them when times are good too! I just last week visited their new Amherst store and it's great for grabbing shotgun shells for skeet and sporting clays without the trek up to Hooksett. Keep up the good work! read more

Will never shop here again...after filling out required 4473 form, was asked for phone # so they could record it on 4473 form. I said no, because I just forked over 2 pages of personal info and I know it is not required by NH law. They told me it was, when I informed them it was not law and showed I was a little more educated on NH Law than they are they said its store policy. I would not give over number, they would not sell me $1000 gun. Short fat young kid thought he was funny its not law but law of Capitalism......very unfriendly ignorant after I would not give them my phone # to be recorded on a form which eventually will go to ATF, and is NOT REQUIRED by law!!!!!! I dont understand what they are doing with phone numbers and why they want them.....just crazy to turn down $1000 because of it. People just hand over any info asked of them. Gun owners and liberty lovers please stay away from this store, they are up to something. It may seem small or be nothing, no other gun store in NH does this. Stay away. read more

After purchasing a bit of ammo and accessories here a few weeks ago and browsing I returned to purchase the used Weatherby Mark V that I looked at. The entire staff was friendly, cooperative, courteous and professional. Nick S. my salesman did a great job with every aspect of my inquiry and transaction, both in person and on the phone, along with Jerry who mounted my scope and helped with some reloading suggestions which is why I ordered some non popular reloading supplies here rather than elsewhere or on line. The young lady that was my cashier for all my purchases was always cooperative and accommodating along with others in the scope and other areas even after I told them I was merely browsing and gathering information. Pricing appeared competitive. I had the opportunity to meet Jim McCloud (Manager/Owner with his wife) and he certainly has the right attitude to continue their successful growth and success. I personally have had enough, the surmounting issues and horror stories as well as first hand experiences with this place is beyond belief! I don't even know where to begin: Ive had situations where we have been left standing there with no help what so ever. The staff just gives you a dirty look and moves on to their cop buddies, no help for the regular guy what so ever. The ammo prices are marked up and I just saw a friend on facebook trying to sell some 22l CB rounds for 15 bucks a box claiming shooters sold them to him at 23 a box. This is outrageous! Not to mention that another friend just bought a New Ruger Sr45 from these jokers, when he came to my house so we can do a new firearm cleaning, we found the thing was all fouled up, their excuse...Ruger doesn't clean their firearms before leaving the factory! THIS IS A LOAD OF BULLSHIT! I actually wrote a review on their facebook page, and shooters deleted it! I have had enough of this place! read more

One of my favorite things to do is visit Shooters on Saturday morning. I usually start with a coffee at their shop and tour through the museum before browsing their extensive firearm selection. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I am repeatedly asked if I need assistance by various staff members who are obviously intentionally mingling with customers throughout the store to make sure questions get answered and that customers are being helped. When I have needed help, they always spend time to answer my questions and act professionally. The used pistol selection is large and ranges from modern to classic. Great deals on gently used weapons! The ammo selection and bulk special pricing, as well as holsters and other accessories makes Shooters' a must visit for both firearms enthusiasts and people new to shooting sports. Unconstitutional. I am a OEF/OIF/HOA veteran, and a competition shooter. The whole reason I came to NH is due to the freedom enjoyed here over many other states in this country. This store has the audacity to assume they can supercede state and federal law, by requiring me to show them my ID and LTC just to buy ammo. I have both, but have no intention of showing anything to them. I have been looking for a store to buy from regularly, and thought this might be the place. It is not. Thankfully, there was another place right down the road at 619 Daniel Webster highway, that made no such attempts to infringe on my constitutional rights. I will be spending my money there from now on. You all just lost $200-$400 a week. Do not shop here if you love this country. Here is my story. After going there 2 times I will not go back. I bought a brand new smith and wesson revolver and had an issue with it because it did not fire correctly right out of the box so brought it back to see if they could help me. They blambed it on my lack of shooting experiance. They did not really help me they only offered for me to trade it in for half the price I paid a day after spending $600. I understand they are busy but the owner was rude and unprofessional. It was not until later that I found a shop who took the time to look at the gun and noticed that the cylinder was bent because it appeared the gun had been dropped. He shipped it back to smith and wesson for me and they are going to repair it for free. Why couldn't shooters have helped me out like this why did I have to go elsewhere? read more

I started my search for a firearm several years ago. Having grown up in a "no guns" household, I was reluctant to enter a gun store, let alone speak to store employees about my inexperience and ask dumb questions. Much to my surprise and satisfaction, Shooters Outpost and it's employees were welcoming, patient and knowledgeable. I asked a ton of questions, held numerous firearms and finally made a purchase. The whole experience was positive from start to finish. About a year later, I went through the process again with my wife.....same exercise and same results. I purchased my first pistol from Shooters outpost, being a first time pistol buyer I really didn't take the time and do my research on what I wanted. Once I got there the staff helped educate me on each brand and pistol I was interested in, I finally chose a pistol and couldn't have been happier with the patience, knowledge and information each worker knew. Thank you for that! Since that first visit to shooters I have had many more great experiences and now only exclusively will only purchase from there. While I have not yet purchased a complete firearm at Shooters, I have purchased a couple of rifle lowers for AR15 builds, and have future plans for suppressors and a shotgun. The main reason I always come back is the staff. It doesn't matter if you are buying an expensive rifle or a single box of ammo, they are always available to answer questions, offer suggestions, or just share a story or two while you browse. I've yet to meet the owner (Jim) but hope to in the future to personally thank him for not only offering a vast selection of products, but gathering top notch employees, and curating an amazing museum. I don't usually yelp things but I honestly had a great experience at shooters outpost over this last weekend. I did my first visit to shooters Sunday right before some friends and I were going shooting for the day. I am a barber in south Nashua and always hear great things about this shop. I figured I would run in real quick while we waited for people to show up so we could leave. I walked into a WELL ORGANIZED and greeting shop. I was browsing but found a great deal on some AR15 magazines and had to grab them. Skip to Monday and I am back in shooters with my fiancé being helped by a TRAVIS that was a veteran with an awesome attitude! I plan on spending many dollars at this establishment in the near future!! read more

Stopped by today as they are my first source for reloading items. Intended on having lunch and was disappointed that the Café is closed on Tuesdays during December. The staff needs a rest. A result of being too popular.... After getting what I needed and walked around a bit I peered into the yet unopened gun museum. Jim saw me and invited me in to walk around. that alone will make the trip worth the travel. I have to disagree with a review from two days ago. They had a large supply of bulk ammo. Much from the major brands such as Winchester and Speer. Of course he can't have every variety on the floor in bulk quantities. His pricing for the bulk was as good as found on the internet. read more
