We ate at Shor and had their buffet breakfast which was very good. The selection was great. I loved that they had pineapple available. The chocolate and regular croissants were perfect and fresh. The receptionist and server were welcoming and their service was great. The seating was interesting as it was at the end of a large hall which kind of amplified the voices a little, but it was not really a bother. Overall a great breakfast.

Had the best breakfast and service at Shor restaurant located on the first floor at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla. Very airy and open space restaurant with modern design. Literally the best Eggs Benedict I've had in a while. Why I loved this version of eggs Benedict is because it came with crispy potatoes like hash browns at the bottom instead of an English muffin. I'm always trying to watch my carbs so this version was perfect for me. The coffee was delicious and their customer service was excellent as the servers kept checking on me to make sure you are good. If you're looking for a yummy breakfast with great customer service in La Jolla I'd give them a try.

My friend and I had brunch here on a Saturday morning. They were busy when we arrived so there was a wait. Shor is located at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. While we waited, we walked around the property. Food: My friend and I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and the french toast to share. Both items were delicious. I wish the breakfast burrito was spicier for me, but that is why hot sauce exist! My friend thought it was good for her. My friend and I also ordered bottomless mimosas with our brunch. The mimosas were tasty, and they did a good job at refills when we wanted them. Service: Service was friendly. It did take a while for someone to greet us after we were seated, but it wasn't too much of a problem as we weren't in a rush. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We were able to get many refills on our mimosas and that is what was important here. TL;DR - Overall a good breakfast spot, especially if you're staying at the hotel.

I knew there was good food in the area but decided to give this place a shot. This place is it. The pancakes were that perfect crispy with soft middle texture and hot! So hot that the chocolate chips melted... Great spot. Don't worry about missing a good meal if you decide to eat at the hotel.

Bottom line: the a la carte menu is the way to go for this venue. Buffet did not look like it was worth the $30 per person spend. Venue is relatively large and spacious, however, with only one server working the whole area, it was quite slow for fill-ups and orders. Service: there was only one server and hostess. Often the same person so the service around the restaurant was a bit slow- understandably. If anything, gives you time to reflect and have morning conversations with your party. Food: Hyatt Globalist members get $20 spend per person on their reservation. The Avocado toast had a Sunny-side runny egg that accompanied the toast itself and it was plenty for one person. You get a side cup of fruit with it. The avocado is want fresh and it tasted like it was from a premade jar. The Benedict however, was delicious. At first the chorizo tasted like hamburger helper but every bite after the first was nice and complemented the dish well. Overall: not bad for a hotel restaurant but nothing to write home about. It's a good deal for those that are Hyatt loyalist and are looking for their included breakfasts.

SHOR is located in the lower level of the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla and serves breakfast. During weekdays, breakfast is ordered off of a menu. During weekends, a breakfast buffet is also available that includes hot breakfast staples like bacon, sausage, and eggs, a couple of daily rotating specials, fruit, oatmeal, and cereal. I ordered the California breakfast burrito and it was pretty good. The portion was sizable and when you add the salsa and sour cream it has quite a bit of flavor. Service was quick and nice.

Seated right away, but completely ignored afterwards. Left after 20 mins. Nobody came to even take drink orders.

Service was very slow and often time hard to find our server. Our food came out before our drinks ever came. The wagyu beef tartare had no flavor besides salt. Yellowtail Crudo was fresh and flavorful but way to sour. Mac and cheese was cooked just right. Chicken skewers were super dry. The Brussels sprouts was good. Best thing we got was the pork belly bao. Pork belly was soft, tender, and flavorful.

There's a little patio area to the right, and if you have a large group, they ask you to move to the side. They take your order. Then, when you go sit down, the food comes out about five or so minutes later! WOW! I ordered buttermilk pancakes and requested a half order (3) because I thought the pancakes would be massive. They weren't! I was surprised by that. I recommend a full order (6) for anyone who has a big American appetite. I thought the pancakes would be the star of the show, but you know what surprised me? THE BACON AND SAUSAGE! The sausage links were sooooooo good. The bacon was thick and absolutely delicious. Our five-year-old got the strawberry patch waffle and that was super tasty! My husband's apple pancake was yummy. It's enough for two (or even three people)! Overall, this was a great breakfast restaurant and perfect for families. I'd come back!
