    Breakfast Burrito

For such a small cafe it was surprising good. We had the French toast, breakfast burrito, chicken sausage sandwich and coconut coffee. They have 3 workers that were very kind and courteous. The fire place was nice and inviting. Overall it was a perfect small cafe at the best western.

This little cafe is located at the Best Western Premier Hotel. They serve breakfast and coffee, and early lunch, and dinner later after 5 PM. I came in for breakfast and had a breakfast burrito with ham, eggs, and some Pepper Jack Cheese that was in there somewhere. The breakfast burrito was okay. It could of been much better if they would not put more ham into it, or at the very least, chop it up and scramble it in with the eggs. There was just to much egg up front. Also, cheese was used quite sparingly. I could not even see it nor taste it. It should be melted through the burrito and visible to the naked eye. The flour tortilla needed to be warmed up better. I would recommend that they place it on the griddle to form a little crust on it. The fruit garnish was nice, and the drip coffee was good. Service was friendly, and if you are staying at the hotel, you receive a discount.

    Lox bagel sandwich

Located inside the Best Western in Del Mar. The cafe itself is super cute and small. There is seating outside which has a partial view of the ocean, which is very pretty. We only tried the breakfast items when we stayed at the Best Western. We got the veggie scramble with toast and the lox bagel sandwich along with a cappuccino. The lady serving was very sweet. The food itself was ok. The veggie scramble was a teeny bit dry and we would've liked some salt. The lox bagel sandwich was actually very good - cream cheese, onions, tomatoes, and salmon with capers is yum!! Cappuccino was interesting. Overall nice enough :)

Cafe Del Mar is a lovely little spot for breakfast and coffee. The food was excellent and the service was great. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite especially if you're staying at the hotel.

This was a super fun spot, especially if you're staying at the Hotel that is attached. The food was delicious, a little pricey but good.

When you walk in, you head to the register to place your order. There's plenty of outdoor seating available, although the place was pretty packed for a Thursday morning. I ordered the: *Croissant Breakfast Sandwich: I substituted the turkey for bacon. The chipotle aioli was phenomenal and honestly made the sandwich. You could easily split this between two people, but it's so good that you probably won't want to! You can choose between fruit or potatoes, and I went with the potatoes. Overall, the meal was phenomenal. This is definitely a cute spot with a great atmosphere. They also have a complimentary water station. The menu has so many great options that it was honestly challenging to decide what to order. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items!

The cappuccino had beautiful coffee art with a swan. My matcha tasted good. And more than anything it was colorful. The views from the patio were beautiful and we had a great time! We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!
