    Chimney roasted vegetable omelette...
    Tessagds ..

The Service and ambiance is amazing.... The appetizer Potatoe Chips and Onion dip was good.... Unfortunately the main Branch menu... I.e... omelette are very unsatisfactory... very dry coz it's overcooked, chimney roasted veggies are uncooked.. purple carrots are raw not roasted .. potato half moon shaped they call them are dry and chewy... I really wish they pay more attention to the plating and the doness of the food... it's not the food that I would say... I want to order that again... it's very basic.. bland , considering the price and place... PLEASE make it better..

Overdue review for The Grill at Torrey Pines, which is the restaurant located on the ground level across from the golf shop at The Lodge hotel resort in La Jolla. Have dined here multiple times for breakfast, brunch and dinner mostly out in the covered patio with the view of the spectacular golf course. Valet or self park is validated by the restaurant. Most of what I have ordered were good but if the dish was not satisfactory, the staff have always been very accommodating to make it better. Yesterday's visit was for brunch and wanted to select foods I ordinarily have during Hanukkah. From the brunch menu, we ordered the Reuben, Smoked salmon avocado toast, house made potato chips with the onion dip, onion rings, a slice of chocolate cake topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Special thanks to the manager Josh. Some of the memorable dishes I had were the regular featured selections: Cardiff crack Tri-Tip fire cooked from brick oven outside salad and sandwich, Drugstore hamburger, calamari and the pancakes topped w/granola and berries. The coffee drinks, Bloody Mary and champagne are great whether or not you're roasting a win on the golf course...All so Good! Recommend

Unfortunate main steak plate My plate was the Cobb salad with the grilled steak. I would give this a 10 out of 10 everything was amazing. I love the flavors and even the roasted corn. Unfortunately, their main entrée item was their house steak was much smaller than my salad, even though it was at least twice as much. Even the steak on my salad was bigger than the steak that the other plate had. This is very disappointing and I was really hoping that the waiter would say something or take this into account especially after he recommended this option to us We were with guests and could not make a big deal, but I would've hoped they could have offered some kind of support

Views are great! Server was nice but she kept disappearing and took a while to wait for her to get our check and/or her attention. Food is okay, but we usually come for the views anyways. Definitely ask to sit outside!

We came here on a Sunday night for late night dinner we were staying at the hotel nearby. They were really quick with their service. Drinks were very good too. We loved sitting out by the fire and enjoyed a nice meal. We would like to come back during daylight to enjoy the scenery. My husband enjoyed his burger and I got shrimp cocktail appetizer. Prices were $$$ but that was expected.

Great setting with plenty of tables, some with fire pits in the center.

Literal coastal vibes, as this restaurant hugs the coast and boasts sweeping ocean views stretched into the horizon, while the world famous Torrey Pines Golf Course unfolds just steps away in the foreground. The outdoor dining patio can fill up quickly, but there are a few tables tucked-away with cozy fire pits and make for a more relaxed spot. Every so often, military jets roar overhead--loud enough to pause any conversation, but somehow part of the setting's character. Reservations are highly encouraged. You can call (858) 777-6641 or reserve through OpenTable. THE FOOD. - Reuben Sandwich. Hands down one of the best I've had. The corned beef is tender with slightly crisp edges, the sauerkraut adds a sharp tang, and the buttery toasted rye pulls it all together in perfect balance. I went with a side of fries and a side of mixed green salad. Highly recommend this sandwich. - Wood Grilled Cardiff Crack. Sliced Cardiff Crack, a burgundy pepper-marinated tri-tip steak, giving it that rich flavor with a peppery edge. It's tender, juicy, and slightly smoky. If you're not familiar with Cardiff Crack, it's widely known in the San Diego area from Seaside Market in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA. It's addictively good, hence the nickname, "crack." Highly recommend trying it out! THE DRINKS. - Arnold Palmer. Refreshing and timeless--crisp lemonade blended with smooth iced tea. - Raspberry Lime Mojito. Sweet, zesty, and just the right amount of tang. THE PARKING. A parking structure sits next to the Lodge at Torrey Pines. It was free for the short time we were there. However, if you're staying overnight at the Lodge at Torrey Pines, they do charge $55 per day. Anyway, from there, a short walk through the hotel will eventually take you to the restaurant. THE VERDICT. A laid-back vibe with an unbeatable Reuben and wood grilled Cardiff crack. Obviously, a return trip is in order.

EAT BEFORE YOU GET TO THE COURSE! First golf-course restaurant I've ever been to that doesn't have a to-go option (except for their plain, worst sandwich). $30 for the tuna salad sandwich that was dry and thrown together with subpar presentation--and the fries were nothing special. Very underwhelming and disappointing... EAT BEFORE YOU GET TO THE COURSE!

Gone a few times and honestly the location and view is the reason for the traffic. The setting is beautiful if only the food and service were the same. I ordered the poke and it was easily the worst fish I've had in a long time. When I brought it up the server claimed I was the first person to express this but I highly doubt it. We had multiple issues with the salmon we ordered too which compounded the negative experience. IF you go my advice is to stick to simplicity like a burger or sandwich to have a relatively decent experience.

Came here for dinner and drinks after the Torrey pines hike and was pleased that parking was so easy and convenient. Def recommend the calamari to share, poke, and the cocktails were good! Come during sunset the view is amazing and the service was so kind with awesome recommendations. Looking forward to coming back here soon.

We came for Valentine's Day brunch after a recommendation from a friend. The location, the views and the food were all great. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. I wanted so badly for everything to what we hoped for, but it came up a little short. We will probably give it another chance, but are lots of other options in the area too

Came here after golf. Food was good-- enjoyed my poke! Service was pretty quick. Made a reservation but didn't really need it.

Hubby said $29 burger tasted like a $29 burger! Cheddar cheese for dayssss. Winner!! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. It wasn't as juicy as I would have liked it to be. All the fixins were nice. Large sandwich and I could eat half of it. I really like the option to get 50/50 on the sides. I got the onion rings and sweet potato fries. Onion rings were ok the ranch dipping sauce was thin/watery. Sweet potato fries were yummy. It was quick lunch for us and completely enjoyable out on the lovely patio. Wasn't too cold or windy. Unbeatable views of the golf course. Fun people watching (and criticizing of golf swings). :) Service was great!

Californian restaurant, The Grill at Torrey Pines, is serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with scenic golf course and ocean views. AMBIANCE Outdoor dining is scenic with ocean and green golf course views. Patrons can dine indoors, fireside, or by the trellis-covered outdoor patio. I love the Craftsman architecture, it immediately reminded me of the Gamble House in Pasadena, CA and turns out this place is inspired by Greene and Greene's 1900s arts and craft, ultimate-bungalow aesthetic. SERVICE Friendly and helpful FOOD 4.5/5 POTATO CHIPS with Housemade Onion Dip: nicely done crisp chips and creamy dip 4/5 WOOD GRILLED "CARDIFF CRACK (wood grilled tri-tip)" SANDWICH with Arugula, Pickled Red Onion, Gouda, Jalapeño Aioli, Ciabatta Cardiff Crack sandwich: a good amount of Cardiff crack, a tad too much ciabatta bread for me, and a little too light on the Gouda. 4/5 Mixed Greens Salad with shallot vinaigrette 4/5 Sweet potato fries Note: coworker raved about the Reuben sandwich. PARKING Available in a structure south of the complex (or turn left when entering from Callan Rd). The parking lot north of Callan Rd is parking for the golf course.

I loved that they cook their patties a bit pink in the middle, which allows it to be more tender and moist. Every bite was just heavenly burger goodness in my mouth. Think In n Out burger but elevated. We also got some Cheddar Bacon Ranch Fries; they were good and tasty, but with how loaded and decadent my burger already was, I think I would've preferred either the plain fries or sweet potato fries with my meal. There's the multi level parking structure behind Urban Plates plus surface parking throughout the center, and I've never really struggled to find a spot even when it's busy. You can get in from El Camino Real by the Chevron or from Townsgate Drive near Cinépolis. The Melt itself is a fast casual place, so you order at the counter and they bring the food out. The inside is clean and modern with a lot of natural light, and there's outdoor seating too since the whole center is open air. Not a place you'd sit for two hours, but it's comfortable and wasn't too loud when I went. I got the regular cheeseburger and it came on a toasted potato bun with this spicy cheese sauce that was so good. The patty is Angus and wagyu, chopped and grilled, so it's actually juicy and not one of those thin dry fast food patties. It was $12, which felt very fair for the quality, especially for this area. Most of their burgers run around $12-17. The location is great if you're already out here. Cinépolis is right there, the Sky Deck is upstairs, and The Melt is open until midnight every night, so it's clutch after a late movie. I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're at Del Mar Highlands.
