Oil the lanes. $40 an hour and the lanes are dry. One of your employees told me that they're dry because the owner is cheap AF and doesn't feel that open bowlers need to have oil on the lanes. Apparently the owner isn't a bowler. Either charge less, or oil the lanes. Charging $40 an hour, you should be making at least what you make from league bowlers if not more. read more

Don't drink here. Drinks are made with non calibrated shot "measuring" devices or they put water in their bottles- either way you get almost nothing in your mixed drink. You also get expired beer if you try ordering a bottle or can So just don't drink here. Don't try and get a reward system going either, it's a big secret even if you have one. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!!! If you plan to take your kids out for a fun night of bowling don't bring them here! They literally put us out because my 5 y/o goddaughter let the ball go down the dinosaur to early and it hit the black guard! I paid over $100 to let the kids have fun and enjoy themselves only to get our lanes closed down after 15mins. I tried talking with management she's 5 y/o they didn't care what I was saying they looked in the kids face and said "sorry you have to go" my kids left so sad... Usually I enjoy bowling here; however, today social distancing was not enforced. I asked for a lane away from others. It was very disappointing when I came with my boyfriend and had to share a lane/bowling ball area with another group who did not wear any masks. Felt very unsafe and I had to wear two masks to protect myself and family :( Social distancing is still a thing. So don't come here in hopes of feeling safe from covid. read more

One rude staff member can ruin it for an establishment. I went in with a party of 10 with 8 bowling. Overwhelming, maybe but the establishment was empty. The young man behind the counter was very nice. We happily purchased 8 shoes, 2 games, 2 pizzas, a pitcher for the kids and 2 beers from 1/2 the adults. Totaled all together about $110. Once we paid I asked the gentleman to show me the room as we were thinking about having our 5 yr old b-day party there the next month/ He explained how it worked very thoroughly and we proceeded to our lanes and that's when the fairy tale ended. 5th frame into the 1st game and after going to the desk 2x already for either a stuck gate or ball, "Leah"-I think that was her name said she hadn't seen the gate get stuck. What does it matter. I've been up there 2x already, I wouldn't make it up and why are you so confrontational??? Her solution..she'll watch the lane. OK. Here's to hoping it doesn't happen again. Next frame, it gets stuck again so someone else goes up because her attitude ruined it for me (I wanted nothing more than to finish our 2 games and head home.) and they switch our lanes. And no more lane problems after the lane move. We also had 3 small children and 3 teenage boys with us. All in all, all very well-behaved. One time our 4 year old nephew went onto one of the lanes and over the loud speaker (mind you our lanes are in front of the desk) the same lady announces to stay off the lanes. Got it lady-it was an accident. We're trying and doing a pretty good job keeping everyone in order and happy-no thanks to your establishment. And with the lanes being directly in front we can hear them talking about us loud and clear as our mother in law sat at the high tops-she heard everything. All the chatter about our group. Not sure if it was because we were a large group, had children, we're mixed races, 2 children with disabilities-not a clue but 100% inappropriate and we will NEVER return and will find a much better place for our daughters b-day party. I will say that the gentleman were all helpful when we interacted with them-although one was a chatterbox with Leah. The one looked terrified of "Leah" when I asked for the managers name/owners name "Justin" but he was young so he probably thought he was gonna get in trouble. And the lady who was behind the food counter was so pleasant and the pizzas were delish!! So with that-my conclusion is, Justin-all it takes is one employee to ruin it for your business. Whatever manager was on duty this past Monday should probably be retrained to not confront guests when they need help. read more

This is the WORST bowling alley for parents to watch their high school student bowl in a tournament. They don't have enough chairs and the staff won't let anyone sit in the bar when no one is using it. No other bowling alley prevents parents from sitting in the bar!!! Parents have to stand in the back and can't see their kids bowl after paying a $5 spectator fee. The staff doesn't care about the parents at all!!!! read more

I could never forget Shore Lanes! For the longest time, this was a preferred hang out of Roseville and SCS teens, and probably still is. I don't remember ever caring about the price of bowling, but I do remember that it was extremely cheap here - cheaper than Continental and Rose Bowl. Shore Lanes was especially known for its glow bowl night, which was the first in the area, and still is the cheapest. Even though I've graduated to bigger (and better?) things, this is definitely a great place to bowl. They have a decent amount of lanes, and it's pretty easy to get one. I like that I didn't have to wait around for an hour to get a lane... They have a "snack bar" inside that stocks, well, snacks. No real food to speak of (in the same way that bar food isn't real food), but with all that bowling magic, who really cares? If I had my choice between Continental, Shore Lanes, and Rose Bowl, I think I'd go with this one. Granted, it doesn't have a classic car show in the parking lot, but if I'm going to a bowling alley, I'm going there to bowl! read more

Very clean with a very friendly staff. I bowl on a Thursday league and we have a great time. My only negative would be the lanes are very dry during open bowling, wish they oiled the lanes more often. More oil would get them 5 stars! Went in here a few weeks ago on a Saturday. There use to be an older guy who was a complete crab ass who hated his job, but he seems to have been replaced by a younger cocky version now. The prices are high and service is below average. I bowl a lot and brought in 8 people to have a Saturday night of beers & bowling. It was dead we paid for 3 hours of bowling and they would not let us even have rotating lanes. There was only 2 other groups bowling (of 4 people) . The lanes are nice and im sure the reason they are always dead other than league play is due to the rude staff that seems to always be in place. That was my last time going to shore lanes read more

My family went here to celebrate my grandsons birthday. We spent $71 for 1 hour of bowling. The bumpers were broke. We couldn't bring in his birthday cake. When I went to cash out my tab I looked at my bill and they tried to charge me $17 extra for food I did not order. After arguing with management he demanded a worker there to dig through garbage to see if there was any food we had. The only food that was bought was a order of fries that cost almost $5 that a boy who was with bought himself. Then after arguing and we were leaving the manager came up and accused us of not paying for a pitcher of pop. My mom ordered a large pop and 2 pictures and asked the lady behind the counter to put it on my tab. So the lady went into the bar where my credit card was being help for the tab and verified I had a tab running. My mom watched her search for the tab in the system they had and she rung up both pictures of pop and also the large one. That manager made us pay for another picture of pop which was $6. So not only was management very disrespectful, he over charged us. If you are planning a birthday party there be careful!! Do not run tabs. Pay as you go. They are very dishonest and disrespectful. I had a bowling fundraiser here. Great price and the staff was very helpful. I plan on having my best event here as well.

So, I used to be an employee there, and let me say that after working there for nearly a year, I will never for my life return. The managment is horrible, the prices are outrageous (4.75 a game!) and worst of all, the owner treats his employees like garbage. The bar and the snack bar are the only things keeping him in business. I personally never bowled there. The lanes get oiled 1 time a week, and the shoes are 20 years old. Half the balls are cracked, and they charge me an arm and a leg to play one game. Stay away from Shore Lanes. read more

Went on a Tuesday afternoon for open bowling with family (4 adults, 2 kids) during Christmas break. It was calm, not crowded, but steady. Staff was not overly friendly, but nice enough. Prices for shoes, games seemed reasonable. But I was told they charge $11/hour for bumpers. I hope that info was incorrect, because that is crazy. Bathroom was clean. Scoring system seemed updated. Seating seemed newer, comfortable, spacious. All in all, a really pleasant, fun time. Will definitely go back. read more

A RIP OFF! When you take your wife and 4 yrs old kid and try to spend some nice time bowling, the manager tells you that there's a League going on tonight and they complain about kids and that he can put the sliding-dinasour for the kid but we need to make sure to take it off every time after he's done. Charges you for an hour + shoes, and then after half an hour comes up and tell you "you have done nothing wrong and the kid is well behaving but we have some league douchebag who's complaining of the dinasour" , so of course we had to leave before even finishing the game cuz the kid is too little to push the balls without a dinasour. You could've just told us from the beginning that we won't be able to bowl tonight and it would've been no biggie. Shitty place, shitty customer service, and above all.. an ass-hole manager. Definitely filing a formal complaint, and definitely never coming back to this shithole. read more
