Loved this place! There are actual tables in the sand which is the coolest thing ever! Besides the GREAT location (literally on the beach) the food and service were pretty good. Our waiter Felix was super nice and he even offered to take pictures of my group! Through out my visit he was very accommodating and always had a smile on his face. He helped make our dinner an enjoyable experience and I was impressed with his service. My mother ordered red snapper over salad and a hot coffee, which she said were both good. I ordered fish and chips, but instead of chips I was able to get sweet potatoe fries! Hardly any restaurants have these so I was excited to see them on the menu - and even happier when they were delicious! The best part of the meal, though, was the sunset. A beautiful veiw largely unobstructed. It was awesome!! The bathrooms, though, we're a little scary. And for two people, the bill came a little under $40 which really isn't that bad. Location, location, location. What a great spot. Tables right on the sand are great. Although the patio is not bad either. There is free parking available in front and to the left of the restaurant. Also plenty of pay parking that's not expensive if the free spaces are full. If it's crowded, we take a walk along the beach. Happy friendly staff. Very attentive servers. The fare is exactly what you would expect for a beach side restaurant and they do a really good job at it. We go multiple times when we are in town. They are taking Covid seriously. Cut to me sharing a quick bite of fish and chips on the beach at sunset...how can you go wrong with that? Shoreline Beach Café is in the perfect spot located right on a beautiful beach. Every time I'm in town I have to stop at Leadbetter so this isn't my first visit to this spot. However it is my first time ordering to go from their walk up order window. Early evening on a Friday so I expected a longer wait. And longer wait is exactly what I got. We waited about 45 minutes.By the time we got our food to go I was pretty sure I was now hungry enough to eat my own order of fish. The fish tasted fresh and was battered to perfection. Not too thick either. But the perfect side dish that I like to call, french fries, were not so great. I was so bummed! They were over cooked, just way too hard and crunchy. I have to say that every visit here is usually pretty normal, good food and good service. Prices are a little steep but it's expected. But every single time, super fail on fries. I guess next time I'll try another side other than their fries. Fool me once right? read more

Service was bad. Food was bad. I ordered the carne asada and eggs dish. Potatoes were burnt, the carne asada was bland and partially burnt, and no waitress around to address this issue to. They ran out of coffee. The only good thing here is the view but you can just sit on the beach and have the same view for free. Overall, highly do not recommend. read more

We stopped by this place after a day of bike riding on the beach a few weeks ago. We had a great view and our table literally was right on the beach. We had the calamari and egg rolls for appetizers which was very good. The boys enjoyed their burgers and my salmon salad was delicious. Wow, what a location. Feet in the sand while eating--well, that would be a little too sandy, but it's an option if you're into that. There was a gaggle of mothers with children at one of the sandy tables who appeared to be locals--they brought toys for their little ones and just enjoyed the freedom to eat good food and let the kids roam. They also had to fight off the birds, but you know, welcome to Sta Barbara! The food was good--great sweet potato fries, excellent fresh fish. The novelty of this restaurant is what drew me to a Sunday brunch! You get to sit on the beach with sand in your toes, or you can sit by the beach out of the sand, or you could sit on the patio deck with coverage. The tables and chairs are made out of plastic so don't expect more, and the service was not spectacular. Although there were very friendly waiters and waitresses, if they had more staff it would run more smoothly. The food we ordered was sub par, only because we were disappointed with the lack of meat options on the menu. The breakfast burritos did not have meat so we opted for one of the few options that had meat which was the shoreline burrito. It was good, but pretty bland. One of our friends asked for avocado (and paid for it) but it was just cut and put on top of the burrito instead of inside. The egg white scramble was pretty good, but also bland to taste. We went to this cafe last year and we fell in love so made it a tradition. To start the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The drinks are yummy and strong. Food taste great. We've been here for breakfast and lunch and neither disappoint. Bathrooms are a little outdated but about the only complaint I have. This cafe has a lot of parking and a beautiful ocean view. Live just up the street from here, food is insanely overpriced and is utility food you find in the prison and school systems. Mostly frozen food, they thaw out. Service is pretty bad as well, I've had multiple occasions where they forgot my meal entirely and I have to go to the front just to get my servers attention. It's a fine spot if you want to pay $15 for a small cocktail for the beach and a snack, but for a restaurant it's probably the worst in Santa Barbara. Be prepared to be dissatisfied and disappointed every time you go, no matter how busy it is. Go to Hendry's on the beach for a real experience with great food for the cost. read more

This place was recommended to us from the guy at the bike shop. Location is five stars, my son wants to go to the beach and play in the sand. View is great! We get to put our feet in the sand while eating our clam chowder. Food is great! Customer service is good. We had to pay for parking which was okay bit everything else was wonderful.
