Shoreline was the only company I could find a 4 years ago that would install some aftermarket components on my Rav4 TRD. They did a great job then and I have been very happy with the install. Recently I had taken my vehicle to the dealer reference a "popping" noise from the front left. The mechanic diagnosed it as a flexing of the skid pan but since it was after market they wouldn't touch it. So I called Ray who had helped me 4 years ago. A year ago I went to Shoreline Motoring (Huntington Beach, CA) to upgrade my wheels and tires, thought I liked the Black Rhino Armory wheels, but after 3 days decided I didn't like them and it wasn't the look I wanted. I wish there was 10 stars, because I'd want to give them 11. Let me start off by saying you won't ever find more genuine people in this business. Paul,Ray and the entire staff do such amazing work. The bleed cars, they research and know the latest trends and upcoming styles and performance before everyone else. Paul is an innovator and not only finds what's the latest and greatest but seems to have his hands in developing new performance and cosmetic additions to almost every car out there. I've taken Paul and his team over 25 cars in 6 years from Ferrari's, Lambo's, Ford GT's even the new Shelby Truck when it had manufacturer issues which they paid him to fix! Heck I even had a Peg Perego kids Barbie jeep customized at his shop! Shoreline Motoring is all about customer service, these guys bend over backwards to make you happy. I can't say enough about the treatment they give their clients not just me. There's a reason it's always packed in there yet somehow he delivers on a time every time! Yes you can find cheaper shops, but trust me cheaper isn't better and shoreline isn't over priced so save yourself time and money and go to shoreline upfront... I've seen and talked to people that tried saving a few hundred dollars then had to take it to Paul and redo the mess. I bought some tires online from www.tirerack.com and had them delivered to Shoreline Motors since it was a local, recommended installer. Tire Rack listed them as having a price pledge guarantee, so the prices listed for installation on Tire Rack's site is what I'd be paying and there would be no hidden charges. I made an appointment, dropped off my car and headed across the street to grab some lunch. I returned about 30 minutes later and my car was done. The price I paid was actually cheaper than what Tire Rack listed and what I expected to pay since Shoreline gave a discount for Tire Rack users. read more

A guy that works at the local club kept raving about this place. When I arrived, the place looked like one of the fancy car places that charges outrageous prices. I brought my Ford GT here, and Paul R. helped answer my questions about the powdercoating process and safety concerns. We ended up going with a low temperature semi gloss matte powder coat on the BBS wheels and a hand pin stripe around the rim. I was really happy with the final result, and I also had them mount a new set of tires, that I had custom ordered from the Tire Rack. Everything went very smoothly and prices were very fair, for an extremely high quality of work. The staff members I met seemed to enjoy working there, which isn't always the case in the auto industry. I definitely will be back. read more

These guys do great work. I went in for new wheels for my Audi A4, I figured I knew what I wanted from looking online but after talking with Paul I ended up going with something a bit different, and he was so right. Not only did I get the look I wanted, but they also went the extra mile to buy me a set of new Audi logo center caps, and trimmed them down to fit into my new wheels! So the wheels are aftermarket but could fool you into thinking they are some kind of special Audi wheels (they are actually TSW Nurburgring in the matte gunmetal finish). In addition to the wheels I also got my car detailed, and when it was all done I felt like I had a new car. Had a slight issue with some of the weights falling off the first time, but they quickly corrected it for me and I haven't had an issue since. They are not just there to slap on some wheels and forget about you, they will work with you and make suggestions to achieve the style and performance you're going for. read more

i called around to get a quote on mounting 4 tires i helped my friend buy on tirerack.com. Shoreline gave the cheapest quote! they know their stuff, and the guy i spoke with over the phone knew exactly what kind of equipment they had and explained that it does not gouge or scratch the rim while mounting the tire onto it. it was a no brainer to go with these guys when mounting rims/tires. they also explained that you could have your order from tirerack directly delivered to them so you wouldn't have to hassle with taking it over there yourself. they even packaged the old stock rims/tires in plastic bags so that it would not stain my car when i loaded them in the backseat to take home! read more

After looking at several tire shops for custom wheels, I took my new 2013 Toyota Tacoma to Shoreline Motoring. I could tell right away these guys were experts and knew what they're talking about, unlike some of the tire shops I went to. I wanted my SR5 base model to look nice. Ray helped me find the best rims for my truck. Dropped the truck off at 3:00 and it was ready by 4:30. The truck was totally transformed with the new wheels. Looks nice! If there's one nit picky complaint I have, it's that they don't have any software to let you see what your car would look like with the wheels on it before you buy. Some of the tire shops I went to, like Big O tires, had this software, and it was very helpful. I had to go online to vividracing.com instead in order to see what the wheels would look like on my truck. Other than that, I'm totally happy with my wheels and the great customer service from Ray. Paul knows Sprinters well as he's owned several and he drives a tricked out 144" 4x4 as his daily driver. He provides excellent candid advice, and he'll reel you in if you are getting outside of the work scope that they want to do - every good business has a "sweet spot". Paul fit me in for these sweet upgrades: VC 4.3 Suspension w/ Agile leaf springs; Black Rhino Arsenal Wheels; Nitto Ridge Grappler 285 Tires; TerraWagen Mondo Mud Guard/Fender enlarger kit for the front; VC Hidden Winch Mount w/ 12k Warn VR EVO winch; Baja LP9s on VC Mount; VC Engine & Diff Skid Plates; Stebel Air Horn & installation of the ARB Compressor that I provided. All the work was done to perfection in just ~2.5 days and we immediately put them to a good test in CA, AZ, UT, CA and NM... all positive! Although 275/70/17 tires are supposed to be the largest that'll work w/ the MBZ electronics, all seems to be working just fine w/ the 285s. Shoreline isn't a dedicated van focused business, but they are every bit as good as the dedicated shops. I know several others that have had a similar experience w/ Paul and team which says a lot abut their capabilities & quality. read more

I just ordered some new tires from Tire Rack and had them sent to Shoreline Motoring for mounting and balancing. The tires arrived there on time. So I set up an appointment with Paul. I arrived on time and Paul's crew went right to work. I had just purchased a used Ferrari and the tires were shot. Anyway, Shoreline balance and mounted the tires perfectly. No damage to the wheels. They even wiped the calipers clean and greased the threads before installing the wheels. They dressed the tires before returning the car to me. I was very happy with their service. MY car rides so smoothly on the Fwy. Wheels are balanced right the first time. In the past, I used another installer to install wheels and tires on another car and had to return for the second time to have them rebalanced. Shoreline gets it right the first time. I would highly recommend them to all. Especially, if you own a high end car. read more

I had some terrible tint on my Acura Legend and wanted it redone. I wanted top quality, so I came to Shoreline. They removed all the tint and installed great tint on my car! I was sort of a bothersome customer when 2 windows didn't like the first application of tint, but Shoreline resolved that issue for me as quickly as possible. read more

i'll agree with the previous reviewer. i bought my OZ Ultraleggeras (also from tirerack) but had to get the tires elsewhere for the staggered setup i wanted; so i had to go somewhere local to get the whole shebang mounted and balanced. this place wasn't the cheapest i've ever used, but i thought it was worth the investment to make sure i didn't have to send the $1200 set of wheels somewhere to get repainted or straightened because someone didn't handle them carefully. shoreline motoring did not disappoint; they handled the job quickly and professionally, without any kind of drama. the showroom has good eye candy too, that black bentley was far too rich for my blood but it was nice to look at. i will be returning here when it's time to get another set of wheels and tires for the gf's bimmer. read more
