    Hot pot

Delicious! Fast and easy! So much great variety of food to choose from! The atmosphere is cute and cozy; great vibes overall

Really cute hot spot place in cityline. I've only been here once but will definitely come back. They have a rather small selection for hot pot, but its fitting for the space, giving it a more time friendly vibe.

The staff is very nice, and the interior is bright and fun -- but that's about it. Compared to other mala tang spots, this one falls a bit short. The broth wasn't very flavorful and leaned on the oily side. Some of the meat options also didn't seem as fresh or tasty as I had hope. There is also a minimum for your bowl weight, which is weird to me (I have never heard of this but someone correct me if this is a norm)

Super cool hot pot place where you make your own hot pot and put on scale to see how much it will be! You can put any toppings you want and have a huge selection! Got the Malatang golden broth with a beef skewer! The beef skewer was so flavor you must add it!

Want to experience a good hot pot soup then this place wont dissapoint , their ingredients are fresh and flavorfull ...

This is not an AYCE hotpot. It was by the pound so be careful on putting ingredients on your bowl. We shared a bowl and paid $30 with tax. The flavors are there. The numbing of lip spice is there it's just that I'd rather go to and AYCE hot pot where you can enjoy adding ingredients without hurting the bank. Service was friendly and the place is bright and open. I enjoyed this don't get me wrong. It's always fun to try new places.

Really nice! Feels very clean with a solid amount of options that taste distinguishably higher end than typical AYCE spots. Included 3 different types of rice is a very nice touch. The price is a bit higher than typical Malatang restaurants but based on the cleanliness, quality, and location, I find it still good value. I'd come here again when I'm in the area.

It was so busy when I stopped in around 12:30pm on a Saturday. As soon as you walk in, you grab a tray and put whatever ingredient you want in your hotpot. It is by the pound so be careful on carelessly just putting ingredients on your tray. The beef bone broth is their original soup base which you can customize the spice level. I did medium spicy and it's just the right amount of spice for me. Definitely coming back when it's not really just like today to enjoy more of the ambiance and surrounding eating in a much less chaotic space.

    $15.99 and plenty of food.

They have been open less than two weeks and all of the labels on the bottom shelves are completely unable to be read. It made it very hard to pick items for our hot pot. You also use tongs for all items, but then your raw meat tongs also touch veggies and things which felt like it was going to make people sick. Multiple items, I think probably the proteins based on where they were located, were also missing and never replaced while we were there. The broth is very good and the pricing and portions are good as well. They do Pepsi drinks or milk tea, but when I asked what flavor the milk tea was, the cashier seemed very annoyed and said "just normal". I don't know what that means so I asked what the normal flavor is and she said, "sweet".

the food here is amazing! you are able to control your portions, toppings, broth, and spice level. this will surely make anybody's wants met! the attendant was very kind and provided great service. my boyfriend and i had never been here before and were treated wonderfully. the ambiance is cute but the music is a bit loud. we will be back!

I decided to try this place because it was from NYC, and I know how good NYC dry hotpot is. I was excited to see how it compared. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. Parking is very limited. There are only a few spots available, and otherwise you have to find parking in a nearby lot, which can be inconvenient. When I asked a few questions about the food, the staff member helping me didn't seem very familiar with the items and didn't appear very engaged. I understand everyone has off days, but I didn't feel very welcomed or helped. It also took quite a while just to complete payment. They charge by weight, which I understand, but I ordered two bowls and was told one didn't meet their requirement, so everything had to be combined into one bowl to pay. That process felt confusing and unnecessary. As for the taste, the dry hotpot was sweet and spicy and didn't match the flavor from NYC. It just wasn't what I was hoping for. Dry hotpot is suppose to be spicy if it's spicy. Not sure why the sweet taste is there. I left feeling disappointed. I personally prefer Yonny Mini Hotpot & Suancai Fish or the one in Carrollton, where the staff has always been welcoming and helpful. I really didn't want to write this review but I just felt very unwelcome there and angry on that day.

This place is absolutely made for a group outing, and we're already planning to come back with a group to take full advantage. The food was a delight. The Singapore noodles had this wonderful curry flavor that I absolutely loved, and the combo fried rice was just as satisfying. We also ordered the Peking duck (P1 on the menu). It was good, though not quite as flavorful on its own as we'd hoped. That said, once you load it up with the hoisin, cucumber, and spring onions, it all comes together beautifully. The bao buns that came with it were soft and delicious, honestly a highlight. We also sipped on hot jasmine tea throughout, which was the perfect, refreshing complement to the whole meal. A solid spot with great vibes, tasty dishes, and room to grow on us even more with a return visit.

The bbq pork and roasted pork was okay. The bbq pork was lacking flavor and the roasted pork was not very juicy. Overall, we liked majority of our dishes. All the food had amazing flavors so I would recommend everything. My only note was the beef in the noodles was slightly chewy so I would suggest another protein option. The service was great. If you live in the area, it's a quality spot to get your soup dumpling fix. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the first thing I noticed was Chef Sun's was very busy (great sign). The restaurant itself wasn't very memorable, and the table we sat at was next to a drink fridge and lots of traffic. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff at Chef Sun's was great, especially for a busy Chinese restaurant. The staff proactively kept our glasses full of water and were always on hand to help. Once we placed our order, food just kept coming from the staff as each dish was brought out piping hot and fresh. 1 Star. Food - The Xa Long Bao (soup dumplings) were nice and plump, freshly cooked and super-hot. This was the best part of the meal. The traditional Chinese dishes like their noodles were all a bit oily for my taste. Thee two appetizers - fried shrimp (very safe choice) were crispy without being greasy and the red dipping sauce was more sweet than spicy. And the spicy edamame was good. Overall plenty of good, but nothing super memorable. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area and I want soup dumplings. Chef Sun's Noodle & Dumpling has some oily noodles and great dumplings. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here, but now that I know they exist, I'll stop by next time I want soup dumplings. 1/2 Star.

But regardless, we didn't have enough skin so asked if we can get 2 more skins, even if we had to pay for them. The waitress barked at us that it comes in 10-pks and that she can't get us just 2 pieces. Fine, but there's no need to be annoyed and roll your eyes at us. The service was much to be desired. We ordered the A-Choy vegetable and it was awful, old and yellow and not cooked well. It's like they didn't sauté it in a hot enough wok so it wasn't crispy. So disappointing this time. Don't get me wrong, the Peking Duck and the soup that comes with it were still pretty good. Thus the second star.
