First and foremost, this is not a review on their items for sale- it is purely on the customer service. This past Saturday I found myself without a swimsuit. I called this location and the employee was like "absolutely we have some old stuff not stocked, but I'd be happy to get them out for you. Come on over". This location closed in 15 minutes, so we rushed over. Dan was so nice, he brought a box containing whatever was left from last season for me to look at. Unfortunately most of the sizes and styles would have fit my arm and not my body so it was a pass. When I asked if he knew anywhere else in the Village, he suggest another location and said "hey let's call over there". He asked the other employee, whose name I do not catch to call over. The other employee jumped on the phone and called, and they did have some in stock. Dan's customer service, enthusiasm and overall personality was incredible. I work in the VIllage so I rarely enjoy the retail and usually when I do; I find employees who are more interested in their phone than helping a customer. His attitude alone will make me go back and brows- especially at the AWESOME Iron Maiden mittens I saw on the self on my rush to go get a swimsuit before the next establishment closed. Butterbox is truly lucky to have such awesome employees and I know, I have had quite the search looking for employees with that enthusiasm so I applaud them. Stupidly, I put my bindings on myself today and they came loose while boarding. The plates also got damaged. I wasn't sure what the deal was but I brought my board into Butterbox and Michaela helped me out. She was so considerate and knowledgeable. She pointed out the mistake I made without making me feel like a doofus and then fixed it. It doesn't sound like a big deal but, really, the concern for safety and the customer service was great. Very nice people there. My buddy's snowboard toe strap broke and fell off somewhere on the mountain. We walked in there expecting to have to buy bindings or some over priced toe strap. They put on a brand new toe strap in 5 mins. Best part is they didn't even charge him. They said don't worry about it have fun. Awesome costumer service. read more

The plastic part that keeps the inner laces tight broke on my girlfriend's snowboard boot. We walked into Butter Box hoping that they'd sell us a replacement. Instead, the dude found one in the back and installed it on the boot, for free, no questions asked. Fantastic service, and we didn't even buy anything. Super nice, I'll be back. read more

Of the handful of stores I visited in the village, none of them could help me with my board repair needs (bindings) except for the staff at Butterbox. Dan, the man, helped remove a broken strap piece and replace it. At first, to remove the strap piece, a proper-fitting Allen wrench was needed. He got one. However, the screw was too stripped to get any real type of leverage on it. He then got the idea to wrap scotch tape around the wrench to add a bit of thickness to it in hopes of making it fit better. Sadly, it didn't work. He then presumed to get a drill-bit and drilled until the stripped screw was no more. The guy managed to help salvage the rest of my remaining snowboarding time on the mountain and saved me from what could have been a loss of a $130 lift ticket. Being a typical dad, I was packing the car to go to Northstar focused on gloves, passes, helmets, boots, skis, poles, etc. for four people, two of which are kids. When we unpacked at the Northstar parking lot, I realized that I forgot my jacket. It was dumping snow, and I didn't want to deal with the Northstar traffic (and more importantly loose my parking spot) so I went to the lost and found to get a loaner coat for the day. L&F was of zero help...I walked into Butterbox and my day was instantly better. Dan was totally awesome. He immediately went to the clearance rack and we found a jacket that I am sure will be my new favorite for snowy cold days. Dan saved me from the brink of bitterness, and his kindness (he didn't break out laughing while I was there) combined with his product knowledge helped me dig out from what was a total s-show of a day. Butterbox hooked it up! Had Boa parts on hand and fixed a semi-emergency situation in a matter of minutes. Everyone was more than nice at the store I would definitely recommend coming here to check it out for any of your boarding/skiing needs. Mike and Cody helped me out in getting my boot fixed and gave me no trouble at all. Cool guys in my opinion and very helpful. The guy with the dreads was cool too. My wife and I have been riding for about 20 years each. We came here because we didn't bring our boards on a recent trip and were looking to demo some different gear. Frank took great care of us - I loved the setup I ended up with - and he made sure we knew if we had questions, didn't like what we rented, or had any problems at all, we could come back and they'd make sure we were happy. Really liked the service and vibe and gear, and the pricing was totally reasonable for a resort shop. read more

We stayed 5 nights in the Village for spring break and stopped by ButterBox while we were there. I was looking for a new pair of bib overalls and Frank helped me out. Frank was knowledgeable and very helpful, I tried on every pair they had in the shop. Frank had great recommendations and insights. I didn't buy anything that day, probably a little overwhelmed with all of the information. I came back the next day and bought the 686 GLCR Supernova bibs. On Frank's recommendation, they have worked out great. Frank also said if you have any problems with equipment or questions come back and see us. As expected a day later my daughter's bindings kept coming undone. We went in to see Frank but it was his day off. Two other guys helped us out with a new ladder and buckle and we were back on the slopes in no time. I can't say enough about this shop and the service. I asked Frank if he owned the place and he said no I am an employee. I told him that with so much enthusiasm I assumed he was the owner. I have never seen an employee show such a commitment to providing service. I hope he is compensated for his attitude. We will be back again and I hope to see these guys. read more
