Saw Ken G post a horrible review for Steve-O so i had to post a review! Steve-O came off to me as a guy with good work ethic! Based on side talk with his coworker, he passionately wants to be there during most tattoo shops off hours to capture business! Showdown should recognize this! From my experience with him, hes also passionate about what he does and is (not seems) happy and excited to get what you envision! We talked about size, area, proportion, had me flex as to take muscle flexion into consideration. My tattoo was a simple LA tattoo! But i wanted it in a specific style not many shops around here are familiar with, Trash Polka! When i mentioned it to him you can tell he was a little excited! Btw...i just went in for a quote at this point with all of the above! Everything combined he sold me and went through with it then an there! If I could give a 0 star I would. All I can say is they fucked up my septum piercing really bad. Carlos did it. Sure he can do other piercings fine because they aren't as tricky, but do not let that man do your septum. So easy to mess up, and that's exactly what he did. I went in with my boyfriend so he could get his ears pierced. The piercer (I forget his name) was really nice and fast, and the whole thing took about 10 minutes. However, he was the only person wearing a mask. All the other workers were not wearing a mask, nor were the customers. I went down to Showdown Tattoo about 2 weeks ago. I met with him and gave him my ideas. He had a sketch drawn up within a few days. It came out great! I was very excited! I had multiple amazing experiences here as far as piercings go. Came once with a friend to do my nostril and my friend got her eyebrow pierced. Piercer was very sweet and very detailed in his work. Mine fell out while sleeping and healed up so I came a few months later and he had the exact same care and thought out into his work. Also did my cousins septum and daith flawlessly! @Steve-o This guy gets impatient about your tattoo so easily and makes you not want to open your mouth to fix the tattoo. He does a subpar job at tattooing on top of that. I asked for a replica of a tattoo and showed him the picture but I wanted it on my other arm. He would not flip the photo and instead cut up the printout and cut everything in half and manually placed the tattoo. I put the picture I showed him and the results. I paid 220 including tips which isn't bad if the tattoo was decent. I would go on yelp and find another tattoo place. It's worth spending more money for a tattoo because it's permanent. read more

I've been going to SHOWDOWN TATTOO for a couple years now. I've gotten 9 tattoos from Gorge, and let me tell you, I get complimented on his work on a weekly basis, to the point my wife tells me to cover up. I've gotten work done in San Antonio & San Angelo, Texas, Aviano, Italy, And Boise, Idaho and from first hand experience, this place is one of the best places that I've been to. It is very clean and professional, as they take cleaniness very serious. I've never gotten any work done from any of the other tattoo artist there(stay loyal), but from the work I've seen them put out is also really nice work. Never once have I seen any of there costumers leave unhappy. Yeah if you do go in there and see that the artist are busy, they refrain from taking their attention from what they are doing only because they're are currently working on someone, or preping for someone, I mean when you're getting your work done, wouldn't you want your artist full undivided attention, I know I would. They allow you to get confortable and view their books to see their work. They will tell you that if you have any questions to go ahead and ask. They're not pushy what so ever, and are very willing to work with you. Pricing is very reasonable, I've never heard of an artist charging 75 an hour, and if they are you better be weary. Good artist will usually charge anywhere from 100-400 dollars an hour, or by piece with a minimun that ranges from 300-1500. At Showdown they do have a minimum of 75, and prices will range from artist and by piece, but again I will tell you first hand you get what you pay for, so if you're looking for a 300 dollar tattoo for 100, you're better off looking for a 75 dollar an hour tattoo artist. I would give zero stars if I could. I went to Larry to do a cover up and paid him $500 up front. He stated I would need multiple sessions to cover up my tattoo. I had two sessions and got pregnant and messaged him stated I couldn't finish my tattoo until after I have my son. A couple months after I had my son I messaged him if he had availability, he gave me the runaround saying he had no appointments but yet he was posting on the shops social media he had appointments. Finally, I got an appointment thinking alright cool, we have a few more sessions to go to finish, unfortunately not! I texted him today to schedule another appointment to finish and he stated the last session was done? Done!!! He still had shading and white to add on? Yesterday I took my son in for his first tattoo and I went ahead and treated myself to a little piece. I have nothing but great things to speak about Showdown tattoo. All the artists were in great spirit and welcoming. I was fortunate to have Jorge Trujillo as my artist. I had a tattoo of the Sorting Hat done on top of my foot. I was already nervous because I knew it would be a tender spot but Jorge assured me that he had a light hand and it wouldn't be so bad. His work is gorgeous and the detail is something to be admired. I use to think this place was good, but after my third piercing, I thought otherwise. My first piercing I got here was my industrial. I had it done by the owner of the shop and I loved it. He was super nice! BUT THEN... after my second and third piercing... I had different people. I had my lip piercings done here. The first time, they did it very crooked, so it wouldn't heal properly, because it would somehow always get stuck in my skin. I then had to get it re-pierced and the second time they made it too far down. It wasn't even near my lips. It was so ugly that I took it out! Such a waste of my time and money! ($120 including tips!) Then I decided to give them another chance with my ears (helix), I mean it's just ears, what could go wrong right? I had a noob guy that acted like he knew what he was doing, telling me that he's been doing it for years... BULL SHIT! He freaking pierced my helix sideways... who does that?! Then I had it redone again and it was going downwards just like how my lip piercing was the first time. They still charge you to get your piercings re-pierced, such a rip off! Too bad I was in high school and didn't know yelp existed back then when I got all these piercings done. I would have went to another place instead. I also took one of my friends here to get her belly pierced and the lady that pierced it pierced it crooked. I felt so bad for my friend. I think this place changed owners. The old owner was way better. THIS PLACE SUCKS!! Wasted over $200 getting piercings here!! Go to Future Tattoos and Piercings and look for Chris. BACKKKK in the day with the previous owner (when it was merely a piercing place), i thought this place was AWESOME! i got a bunch of my piercings there. it's been many many years since i had been there last but i went back recently with a friend that wanted to get a piercing...the atmosphere has changed now. the tv was so freaking loud that i could barely even hear myself think! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! the dude behind the counter barely even acknowledged our existence. after waiting just about forever to get helped...my friend went in to get pierced. the chick that pierced her was really cool (and the only reason why i'm giving them two stars instead of one). she was super friendly and funny and talked my friend through the entire process. since i was there, i thought i'd ask about retouching my tat. i asked that same dude that was behind the counter and he "jokingly" suggested that i cover my tat (as in, get something else over it) instead of retouching it. ummmm, RUDE!!!! anyways, he really irritated me. and i'll for SURE never be going back there again. they also have a minimum $80 for tattoos, which i think is a lil too much. so if you're looking for a place to get a tiny tattoo, this place isn't for you! read more

Got my ink with STEVE, I came in with one idea and he was way honest and gave his professional opinion. So i ended up getting all the ideas i was committed to in 2 separate tattoos instead of 1. He was so right and both of them look amazing. Got my foot done which was painful, BUT, he has a real light hand and he works fast so I'm sure it hurt a lot less then it could have. Most of the time, people hop on Yelp for assistance with making more short-term decisions, like finding out where to eat dinner, or whether a bar has good parking. Sometimes, though, someone is looking to get a permanent tattoo, or perhaps a piercing, and they want to use a clean, reputable, competently-staffed, excellent shop. SHOWDOWN IS THAT SHOP. I have spent over twelve hours "in the chair" at Showdown (and at a tattoo expo being tattooed by Jorge from Showdown), and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I have requested colorful, complicated tattoos, and Jorge delivers every time. In fact, the last time I was inked by Jorge (a mere 2.5 hour session), my wife was blown away by the finished product, and said, I quote, "Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Benjamin! That's beautiful!" I know what she said because I liked it so much I wrote it down. The artists are professional and talented, and do a wide variety of styles. In fact, the shop sometimes runs monthly specials based on the type of tattoo (check them out on Facebook for more details). In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with Showdown. read more

Long story short: I knew the Tim the tatooist while he was still in art school and still with another girl. We were good friends and i friend zoned him years ago. Several of us supoirted his work as youd expect from friends. Tim's personailty changed towards me to reflect what I like to say is a new too cool for school tatooer. As I was visiting him for sessions and speaking of my new son and partner I was quickly treated as if I were on the prowl for Tim's affection because he was a cool new tatooer Management/owner behaved in amanner one can only say would reflect that of a guy trying send me signals that Tim had a gf. If you are a fan of Asian style tattoos, this place is awesome. More specifically, Charles Ong, who started my Tiger sleeve is the best! This place is sandwiched in between a few shops, but it easy to find. Came here last week and met up with Charles for the first time. He's very easy to talk to, down to earth and has none of that ego or condescending tone you might see elsewhere. I told him what I wanted, he showed me a sketch and he began. I was in the chair for about 4 hours and although it was painful, Charles has a light hand and finished quit a bit in that time frame. It turned out great and it was beyond my expectations. It's still a work in progress, but can't wait to finish it up. I have already received compliments on it, peeling skin and all! :) The shop itself is small, but has enough space to fit in more than enough people. It's nice, clean and just the way I like it. Apparently, they also do piercings. So if you need some quality work done at affordable prices, this is the place to go. Got my helix piercing here a little over 2 months ago - $20. Hella cheap & worth it! Called first, but there was only one guy there since everyone else was out and he said he only did basic piercings. Decided to go anyways. It ended up being super quick and easy.
