I've hit up the smaller truck at a festival in Bend and the full-size one at Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond. - Yakisoba noodles: Just OK, a little bland. I compare them to Island Noodles, which are far better. - Chicken tacos: also OK, also a little bland. Dumping Sriracha on helped but they need pico. Or something. There are too many great tacos available for me to rate these any higher. - Vegetarian taco: excellent, or so says the resident vegetarian. - Lemonade: This was from the food cart. Frankly, it was hard to tell the difference between it and water. Weak. Overall, A-OK but there are better options.

I am beyond disappointed with this food cart. We just spent $24 for a bowl of noodles and cold sad nachos. First of all the lady at the window couldn't be bothered to look up and greet us when we were standing there. She gave me a nasty look when I ordered the little shredder nachos, but maybe she was secretly just trying to indicate how nasty the nachos were going to be. They came out quickly but with cold congealed cheese and bland chicken. It was the most unappetizing nachos I've ever eaten.the attached picture is how they were delivered to me. And to add insult to injury (the injury to my palate) when you pay with a credit card, they have their pre-set tip options for a minimum of 20% Save your money, and your stomach.

Stopped here on our way to Bend after camping for a few days in search for some veggies. Food cart pod didn't have much in the way of veggies but I'm so glad I tried this veggie bowl! OMG it was beautiful and delicious. Whatever sauce they use is so tasty. This is all we got but I was impressed.

Shred Town Food Truck offers a variety of food for every appetite! Our menu is a fusion that includes tacos, bowls, sandwiches and shared plates.There are Gluten Free and Vegan options, and we are happy to make adjustments to any meal in order to accommodate dietary needs. We strive to make every meal delicious, efficient and affordable to our customers. It is very important to us that our customers feel welcomed and excited about their dining experience, which is why we are permanently located at Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond, OR. Wild Ride is a family and dog friendly brewery that offers a great selection of beer, as well as some wines and ciders. There is indoor and outdoor seating available with awesome fire pits and yard games outside. They host a variety of events in their back room (free to use, just book it!) as well as public events. In addition to our permanent locations, we have two events trucks that are utilized for both private and public events!

History

Established in 2014.

Chef/Owner, Kurt Voorhees, produces a variety of fresh and delicious dishes from all over the world. His passion for food has taken him from the class room to the kitchen, and currently to his own venture. By incorporating the visual landscapes of the beautiful North West, Shred Town strides to "get shreddy" with community spirit, good vibes and a variety of delicious global comfort food.

Meet the Business Owner: Kurt V.

Kurt Voorhees was born and raised in McCall, Idaho where he spent his time doing flips in the lake and shredding snow down the mountain. When he was 12 years old, he got his first job in a restaurant, and from then on, he's been hooked. Kurt attended the Cascade Culinary Institute, but after cooking at Mt. Bachelor and Barrio, he realized he could learn more working hands on in the industry. He spent time working under Chef Podwils of Victorian Cafe and Chef Draheim of Barrio, expanding his skill set and increasing his creativity. In the summer of 2013, Kurt bought an empty boat trailer. He worked for months on end building it into a mobile cart; by the time winter rolled around, he was ready for business. Kurt strides to bring creativity to his cart and his menu and is motivated, working hard to perfect his dishes. Kurt is excited to see what the future brings for the food cart, and for the rest of his restaurant career.

Shred Town Food Truck Prineville. I created a yelp account just to leave this review. This is our third visit at this food truck and our last. The gentleman working at the Prineville truck treats you like you're the worlds biggest inconvenience to his life. The menu allows you to order slices of pizza but then he complains that it's going to take too long to bake an entire pizza and when you decide to proceed with your order he huffs and rolls his eyes at you. His condescending behavior is so difficult to tolerate that we will not be returning. Today while I was briefly looking at the menus he reached through the window, slammed the bell down in front of me and hit it three times before I was ready to order. His behavior is extremely concerning for such a family friendly environment. We hope that wild ride brings in better options next time. read more

Shred town is my newest favorite food cart, I used to be a total believer in the lot, about a block from shred town. One day my friend took me to shred town with him, life changed. The first time I visited I ordered a carne asada burrito the owner, Kurt went right to work and after a few minutes he headed me a beautiful burrito I added some of his sauce and it was the best burrito I have ever had. food is 5 stars Service is 5 stars And the atmosphere being next to a beer garden is 5 stars. Holy cow folks, I was visiting bend and skiing with my nephew, after a mediocre day on the hill and seeing the ridiculous line at ten barrel, my nephews buddy told us to try shred town, good lord I had the tacos with asada and the sauces he loads them up with and the crisp lettuce met with the AMAZING carne asada was really phenomonal. The chef is kind, warm, and welcoming and made our food relatively quickly and we ate at the picnic table next to the cart and made our extremely average day into a great trip to bend.
