We decided to try this place based on the reviews. My husband was looking for oysters on the half shell and they had them. He said they were very good! We had a large party (6) and even though they were busy, we were seated right away. Food came out in a reasonable time and it was very good. Everyone enjoyed what they got (shrimp tacos, burger, catfish basket, shrimp basket, blackened shrimp plate). Service was good as well, and we felt it was reasonably priced. We decided to try eat here while visiting Navarre on vacation. The restaurant does have limited seating due to COVID protocols. The wait time was not super long for our large group and it gave us a chance to look over the menu. The food was delicious and fresh! I'd highly recommend the cheesy grits. Shrimp basket had the best between Navarre and Destin restaurants tried. One disappointment was the all you can eat special. The popcorn shrimp in the first serving was minimal and the next serving requested arrived after everyone had already finished eating and were ready to go. They even went out of their way to find items for the one non-seafood eater in our group to have a good meal, too. Very prompt and attentive. The food arrived quickly and hot out of the fryers. This place looks pretty unsuspecting but I'm really glad we pulled in and checked it out. They have a decent sized private parking lot, a large covered porch/eating area as well as some indoor seating. My kids and I opted to eat outside even tho it was a bit of a windy day. The shrimp were ginormous and had a nice light breading on them. The oysters were very small but did have good flavor. The crab cake tasted a little underdone to my liking and didn't really have any crab that I could see. The fries were amazing g. Very crispy and seasoned well with salt and pepper. The hush puppies were ok as were the corn nuggets. The shrimp coleslaw was a little different but I enjoyed it. They do have a signature hot sauce here and it was very good. It is a perfect blend of a Tabasco, sriracha and maybe a Thai chili sauce? Really good. I doused everything in it! Overall a great experience here. Decent food, good cocktails and amazing hot sauce! Very disappointing. We've eaten at other Shrimp Baskets and this one was mediocre at best. We ordered the Blackened Whitefish with a side of cheese grits, Redfish and 2 shrimp baskets. Food was slow to arrive and cheese grits were served cold. When I asked the server to replace them, she took my order of cheese grits to the back and reheated them in the styrofoam container they came in and brought them back to the table reheated in the same styrofoam container. When I asked her if she re-heated them in the styrofoam container, she said "yes". Big "No No!" Other food was warm but nothing was served hot. Ok in a pinch but certainly not anything I would look forward to. Better off hitting Walmart for some Tostino Pizza bites. The lost star- A bit chaotic and unorganized when trying to get seated. Waited at the bar, no straws or bev naps for our drinks. They were out. The good/The food- Everyone was super friendly and personable. Could tell they were in the weeds but their attitude and expressions never showed it. We waited a good 30-45 minutes for our meals, but we're patient knowing they sat a 10 top right before us and the kitchen would be slammed with that order.
