Finally got to try Shrimp'n Ain't Eazy after seeing it all over my feed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was craving something cheesy so I went for the Super Chicken Quesadilla and it definitely satisfied all my cravings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Silly enough to say, I'm not a huge seafood person or a fan of shrimp but my quesadilla was loaded with shrimp and I enjoyed it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They definitely gave a generous amount of both well seasoned shrimp and chicken.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In every bite, the cheese was just oozing out and I got the best of both worlds. I loved the melty cheese pull.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sauces were delicious and well paired with the quesadilla as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The portion was huge and well worth the price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a long line since this food truck is quite popular but service is quick and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My food was ready in less than 10 minutes and came out piping hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Shrimp'n Ain't Eazy lives up to the hype and this food truck is a must try!

Just pull up, you won't be disappointed !! I was really excited to try the ramen after seeing one of their instagram videos. Since they didn't have it this time around we decided to order three different things from the menu to try anyway. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vampiro (taco) is phenomenal. Flavorful and fresh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The burger was great too, a bit much for me but still delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chef is generous with size portions for the price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The individual who took our order was nice & chill. I really enjoy stumbling across places like this. I can't wait to share with friends. It's was bomb.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tried this at the sharks game on Saturday night. We ordered the big papi and a soft drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took a while for the order to be ready but was worth the wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really good seasoning, sauce and the shrimps were also great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]With the cheese and the bacon easily enough for two to share.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely also give the food truck a try.

Grabbed dinner at this food truck during Berryessa Night Market's "Say Cheese! Street Feast" this past Friday. About 8-10 food vendors selling creative, melty gooey menu items, including birria grilled cheese and cheesy loaded baked potatoes. Got the chopped cheese sandwich from Shrimp'n Ain't Eazy, a delicious sub filled with a mix of plump and juicy shrimp, crumbled beef patty, veggies, yummy seasoning, and lots of stretchy cheesy goodness. Truly a unique and tasty concoction, so massive it has to be served wrapped in foil, then placed inside a food container. I was definitely impressed and satisfied with the chopped cheese, the most expensive item on this food truck's menu. Yet it's the crabby taco they sold out of less than 2 hours into the event... I see that as a good sign, multiple popular dishes, gotta try that next time. Also, efficient service, hardly any waits, and plenty of seating at Garden at the Flea. It was an awesome cheese fest, with live music entertainment and a carefree atmosphere. But this food truck alone was worth the trip out.

Freaking adore these dudes. So friendly, courteous and chil AF! Love that they do pop up locations and tell you way in advance via spcial media. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You get all the flavor in anything you order, that is definitely not a category they're lacking in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vampire tacos per usual, ordered their chopped cheese (which is massive, but you can also bring your own fries), their hotboy was good, too, and their himbatchi plate was good too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The combo with shrimp, chorizo, meats is smackin![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do wish you can just order the shrimp for protein if anything, that was fire![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Thank God for food trucks. At my job we usually have different food trucks on Tuesdays and Shrimp'n Ain't Eazy pulled up today. Let me tell you something, everything was great from the staff to the food to the wait time. Ordered the Vampiro taco with chorizo and cheese and that was a fantastic starter. Perfect crunch, the chorizo had my mouth watering and the shrimp was great. That was just a little appetizer before I dived into the Chopped Cheese Burrito. Awwwww man this thing was THICCC!!! I could only eat half and had to save the rest for later. Absolutely DELICIOUS Burrito, one of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to try some more items on my next visit. Thank you guys for coming to the campus

    Vampiro tacos....flavorful and satisfying

We went to a pop up off of Tully Road in San Jose. We ordered the three Vampiro tacos for our drive back to Monterey. The tacos were large, crunchy and stuffed with flavorful chorizo, massive shrimp, pickled onions, light cheese, cilantro and a beautifully spicy salsa on the side! Every bite was delicious and everything you can ask for in a shrimp taco. We were very satisfied and happy we came. Next time we hope to try their other dishes. Gian, the owner, is awesome and clearly has a pulse on Bay Area food tastes and flavor. I heard they were also featured on Check Please! That's quite a feat and speaks for itself. Can't wait to seek them out at their next pop up event!

Finally getting around to do this review on one of my favorite food trucks here in my hometown. The owner of Shrimp'n Ain't Eazy is an East San Jose native, which is where he's located. Coming from someone that's from the same neighborhood, it's always a special feeling seeing somebody that grew up close to home thrive. It's a Bay Area trait to have some hustle, but it's a true San Jose thing to give back and pay tribute to your community. I've seen the truck posted at the Mt. Pleasant Shopping Center and Hillview Park. The owner does lil pop ups around town for social events at times, as well. He's the one that's taken my orders the times I've gone and is a chill dude. It takes a minute for the food to be prepared, but it's usually just him and one other person that helps make the food and takes orders so just be patient. The food is worth it. He's known for his shrimp and chorizo taco, which I actually never had yet, but I did try the vampiro tacos (which I remember being full off of and hella good) and also the chopped cheese. I never had chopped cheese before until trying it from here and let me just say, chopped cheese with shrimp??... As someone who loves shrimp, this was a game changer. A great component to the chopped cheese. Plus his orange sauce just made everything on point. I never been to New York before and always heard about their chopped cheese, so it's a win to have something close to home whenever I'm craving that.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

Our server was Sebastian & he was super friendly, attentive & recommended us the goods. My favorite here was their enchiladas - red & stuffed with chicken tinga. It also came with a side of rice & beans. The pickled red onions that came on top was delicious as well. My daughter even loved it & she's super picky about her onions. Drinks were good, the michelada with the shrimps - fire. Paloma - not that strong for the price you pay, but it was still alright. We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

FOOD: Food is usually great. I remember them being better when they first opened, but maybe today was an off day? CHIPS & GUAC (4/5) - Chips came out hot and glistening, so I assume they are freshly made. The guacamole was good, but it lacked depth. It was creamy, not spicy, and salsa costs extra. I personally like it without salsa, but I can see this turning people off. LAMB QUESABIRRIA (3.7/5) - Consommé felt a little flat. I personally have had better consommé tbat was richer in flavor. It came out piping hot. Overall, it was good but given the price and flavor I wouldn't get it again. COD TACOS (4/5) - Again, portions are on the smaller side. The cod is small, and I couldn't really taste the salsa too much, but the fish tasted great and was nice and crispy. HOUSE LEMONADE (5/5) - Refreshing and sour :) SERVICE: They could probably use another waiter/waitress. Friendly and helpful, but it's a little slow. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but I'll stick to ordering takeout or coming here for the bar only.

The tacos were generously filled, the tortillas were delicious, and the aguas frescas were refreshing. There was a small mix-up with our order at first. Our waitress accidentally thought we had only ordered six tacos instead of twelve, so we initially received six tacos, one side of rice and beans, and were still waiting on our drinks. When she came by and noticed one of us wasn't eating, she asked if we were waiting on anything. We explained that we were still supposed to receive six more tacos, another side of rice and beans, and our drinks. She apologized, brought our drinks over right away, and the rest of our food came out quickly. Even with the mix-up, everything was handled professionally, and we appreciated how quickly she fixed it. We originally sat outside, but decided to move inside because of the bugs. The inside of the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Since it was the Fourth of July, it wasn't busy, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The salsa bar was being prepped, but our waitress gladly brought us fresh limes when we asked. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was friendly, and even though there was a small mistake with our order, it was corrected quickly without any issues. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend Cali Spartan if you're looking for delicious tacos and great customer service.
