Our 3rd stop on the Maine Oyster trail did not disappoint! Love all outdoor seating under tents- great wine selection! We did the Taste of the River and got 3 varieties to try and they were each diverse. All these oysters so we also shared a blackened haddock sandwich & fries which was full of flavors! They also have street parking in Fri t and a parking lot. The have option other than seafood as well

Stopped here as we were exploring the coast, and we were not disappointed! We started with the oysters and of course all of them are from Damariscotta and they were delicious. They were fresh, cold and salty my favorite. We also got the shrimp curry and haddock tacos and that was also great! This place has a huge outside seating area and it's perfect on a nice day. I did want to try the tuna and they were out of it. If I lived closer I would frequent this place.

Shuck Station is a great place to go by boat ( or car ) if you're looking for a casual outdoor atmosphere with really good food ! They source the best local oysters . I recommend getting the " taste of the river " oyster platter to see which ones you prefer best. We loved them all. The station fries are also great to start with. I always get their haddock sandwich because it's So good . They grill the sourdough bread which elevates it from every other fish sandwich you get in Maine. You can have the fresh haddock grilled , blackened or fried. The homemade tartar sauce is delicious. A few f my friends had the lobster grilled cheese and loved it. One of them got it with bacon and tomato, too. All of the sandwiches come with a pickle and you can add coleslaw + chips, French fries + coleslaw or station fries + coleslaw for a slight upcharge. There chips are homemade and have quite a bit of pepper on them, FYI. Their station fries are a favorite of ours, but we get them as an appetizer. Their coleslaw is good because it isn't overdressed or creamy. It has a mild, pleasant taste. My cousin had the smash burger and it was a double. It looked tasty. 2 others ordered the tuna poke bowl and would order it on repeat! The service was super friendly . The seating is all outdoor with picnic table seating. The tables are covered with umbrellas, so the sun isn't beating down on you , which is nice. The ground is pebbles and oyster shells which gives it a unique vibe! There are 2 gender neutral, clean restrooms We thoroughly enjoy our lunches here every summer ! Sometimes you get lucky enough to enjoy live music!

While in Maine, my wife wanted the experience of trying fresh shucked oysters on the shell, and her research led us to Shuck Station Raw Bar. I was mostly along for the ride, but did go for the Miso Baked Oysters. She wasn't sure she wanted a dozen on her own, but our server Dakota accommodated her by putting in an order for 9 individual raw oysters, all from around the area. I went with the Miso Baked Oysters. She enjoyed them, and mine were tasty, too, if not my usual seafood fare. Scallops sounded good to me, and though they are usually add-ons to their salads and bowls, Dakota put them in as an individual side with my baked clams, which was nice. My Bloody Mary was serviceable, and my wife enjoyed her Stonefruit Spritz. tough, like it is in most smaller towns like Newcastle that are taking on much more traffic than they were designed for. Be prepared for that, or maybe look for parking on the other side of the street from which you can later make a right turn.

    Fresh oysters. Nice and briny

Perhaps the best fried oysters I've ever had! So fresh and delicious! I also had fresh oysters on the side. Just plump and delicious with great horseradish. My hubby had the fish and chips. Really phenomenal! Great wine and beers on tap. Allagash white and a pemaquid brown ale. Great service and summer atmosphere!

What a wonderful find on our way up the coast of Maine! We didn't have reservations on a Monday at 6pm, but only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Food was solid all around (only drawback was they were out of raw tuna for their poke bowl.) Blackened haddock is spicy and salty and perfect on a salad with no need for dressing. The poke bowl surprisingly didn't have much leafy greens, just carrot, cucumber and avocado, but the flavors all melded well together. Fried haddock sandwich was outstanding and very filling, on buttered and toasted crispy sourdough. Seafood chowder was creamy and not overly salty, as some chowders can be. The Ginger Fizz Mocktail was sweet and spicy. Perfect on a summer evening! Ambiance is casual and family friendly, but not overly loud. Clean, efficient and warm service.

We love this place! We're from Minnesota, so we don't get to have perfectly fresh oysters very often. We're here for about a month each year, so we're sure to come here at least once or twice. We've tried some of the other foods and they're quite good as well. I highly recommend this place! Solid service, great food, kind of a cool ambience as well.

Great oysters. Best oysters Rockefeller! Super fresh and baked perfectly. Even comes on a bed of lettuce. The muscles in garlic wine broth were excellent. With a side baguette And the coleslaw was super fresh with no mayo! Just how I like it

These were our favorite oysters in all of Maine (and we tried many!!) Make sure to get their orange mignonette which is super yummy and comes in a handy dropper! The blackstone point oysters are literally the best oysters we've ever had. After 10 days of oyster eating, they were starting blend together a bit, but not these! They were the perfect mix of briny and sweet. We also tried the heron island - it was also good, but they are not kidding when they say there is a powerful brine! It's enough to add a few hairs to your chest! Can't remember what we got for the third kind, but they were also delicious lol. I got a banh mi with tofu instead of pork belly, and it was the best vegetarian dish I tried in Maine. The fries were on point. There was no wait, the service was super fast and friendly, and prices were reasonable. You can walk down the street from the shack to a cute little strip in Damariscotta. This was the perfect stop to break up our drive from Bar Harbor to Portland, I'm so glad we did!

You must visit this place while either living or visiting Maine! We are from Florida but wanted to check out the Oysters here and WOW! We were blown away with not just the food but the staff too! It was the weekend before the location was closing for the season and I feel lucky we had Ava (the manager) as our bartender! She was on point, so friendly and the food was top notch. The best oysters I've had and now I want to tell our local oyster place back in Florida to start getting their oysters shipped in from Maine! Thanks for the good food, drinks and experience. If we return to Maine we'll be back!!

Really enjoyed this stop. There's a great selection of oysters and they'll help you choose. The area is know for its oysters and you can get tours (I think these folks give them, as well). So you know your food is hyper-local. They were even cutting chives from the little garden they have when we were there. Fresh matters. I had the seafood chowder which was amazing. The potatoes just melt in your mouth with the cream of the shower and there's lots of bits of seafood and fresh, finely chopped veggies. I also had a side of station fries. Lots of flavor and perfectly cooked. My husband had the oysters and he should have tried their special but really was hankering for the Rockefeller, which he ate heartily. We absolutely would turn anyone on to this establishment. I didn't see indoors seating so get there before it gets too cold to sit outside!!

I really want this place to do well, so I have a few critics Food- 5- phenomenal, great dishes and more complex flavors that you don't find at most run of the mill Italian restaurants. Portions were great and prices were fair for the quality of food Drinks - 5- also great, love the Aperol and Limoncello Ambience - 3 - this is my big critique. I think some the wall art that is hung on the wall is either AI art or atleast gives off that vibe. Feels more like something you'd see in a Panera bread. Everything else gave a really fancy and professional feel, but for some reason the wall art through me off Service was great, too great. The severs were a bit too attentive and were a bit too scripted. If they were more a bit more chill I'd feel more at home. Only reason I am critiquing so hard is that I want this place to do great. Brunswick needs some more quality restaurants, and Pomelia could definitely one of them.

I sat at the bar and even though the place was very busy, the servers were attentive. The food did take a bit to come out, but I didn't mind. Overall, everything was good, but I felt the prices were a bit high for the return. Other than that I had no issues.

We started with onion soup, which was OUTSTANDING !! It wasn't too salty, which is often an issue but not here. The broth was a perfect blend of onion and beef flavoring, just enough cheese and croutons but not overpowering... it was divine. It might've been the best I've ever had. We also got bread service that offered lightly grilled French bread. I don't know what the deal was, but it was so unbelievably tasty, and it was so soft, too. I don't know if it was the texture or the bread flavor, but something was different... that made it so amazing. Better than usual. I wanted to eat more, but I knew I was already getting full, so we left most of it. Drat. For an entree, my husband got the Atlantic salmon in a lobster veloute with farfalle and ratatouille. I tasted it, and it was excellent. Such great flavors. I got the cioppino, which had scallops, shrimp, and haddock in a herb-infused tomato sauce. I was a little shocked because it was spicy... good flavor, but spicy, and I wasn't expecting that. I wish the waitress would've told me ahead of time, but she didn't. I ended up not eating most of it because it was a bit too much for my palate. I hate wasting food, but the truth is I wouldn't have finished it anyway. I was already full from the onion soup and 1 piece of bread. For our celebratory dinner, we also split a dessert. I had read this place is known for their blueberry pie, which we were very interested in getting. Soooooooooo glad we did because it was EXCELLENT... and yes, it was a la mode... with vanilla ice cream. There was some crystalized sugar topping on the crust, which really added to the awesomeness of this dessert. We hit pay-dirt here. This meal was the highlight of our trip to Boothbay Harbor. I hope we will be able to return to this lovely harbor town because we will make a beeline to dine at Thistle Inn again. Too bad we live so far away.
