After many attempts to fix it, and move us to another room that also did not have hot water, and offer us a third room, we decided to stay in the original room. We wasted a lot of time packing/unpacking, moving between rooms. Eventually one staffer admitted the property had poor hot water circulation in some areas and that the "property was not built as a hotel". The maddening part of all this is the reluctance of the management to admit to what is a known issue, and to offer us a free breakfast as compensation for a $1000 stay. The staff are highly trained to be polite, engaging and outwardly helpful, but are totally unequipped to deal with a real problem that is not easily fixed or papered over.

Whether you were there to focus on the installation or just take it in casually, the environment supported both. The line was somewhat long to get into the event as it was at capacity and could only allow more people as people were leaving the event. I was given a drink ticket and got to try the Patio Pounder with ilegal mezcal, primo aperitivo, tropical citrus, coconut, grapefruit soda. The bartender was efficient even though the lines were long. The cocktail was enjoyable with the balance of smoky and citrus flavors. They also had a variety of food bites available including chips and queso. creamy street corn, and sliders. The food was gone relatively quickly due to the crowds but it would be replenished periodically. So when I came to NAKID I was not expecting much different, but was stunned at how different and how much more fun I had! My team is the Awful Waffles which was a team in a different league, we were all so fed up with the competiveness of the other leagues. Where they cuss you out if you make a bad play, make a bad call as a ref, basically have no regard for sportsmanship, and to top it off the league is ran by douchebags.It was so refreshing to come to NAKID, its fun still competitive(in a good way) AWESOME TROPHYS, cute girls for you guys out there, as well as flip cup tournaments every week!!! (AHHH HEAVEN!!) You gotta give it a shot!

The music was on point for the audience and everyone from the staff to the guests were warm and welcoming. Being from the west coast you can definitely notice a difference in friendliness. The layout is really fun, with the club being front and center on the first floor and the play rooms up above in an atrium style. There are two stages, one for dancing and another with a pole. The area is huge, with plenty of tables and space to mingle. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because of what happened afterward. I forgot a very sentimental purse there. I called as soon as we got home and the manager, Vannessa, stayed in touch with me over text, coordinating with the staff and cleaning crew to track it down. We are in our 50s, have never been to any club, at all, ever, so we were not really sure what to expect. We went in with a very open mind and had a great time. There was every age range from 21 to 80, every socioeconomic status, and every body shape and size. We did not feel intimidated or unwelcome at any time. It was 80/90s night, we expected to be overdressed when in fact no one dressed in theme. There were women in lingerie or dresses (fancy and plain) men were in everything from sports coats to tshirts (which surprised me based on the posted dress code). Lots of seating, high and low tables as well as lots of sofas. Up in the 6 playrooms there were towels, condoms, and lockers available for use. The beds are divided by a shear curtain, and the front of the beds each have a shear and black curtain depending upon how you'd like to play: alone, ppl watching, or ppl joining in. The "theatre" room was a bit disappointing it felt like there should be a larger screen or maybe different seating. I'm not sure but it felt a bit off to me. Either way not a deal breaker. (Just my opinion). It is BYOB and the bar offers set ups and wine glasses and bottled water for purchases. We brought a backpack cooler but... there were some very dedicated people who arrived with a yeti on wheels they were not playing around. All this to say bringing a bottle or a huge cooler don't be shy! I should mention the parking. The club is in an industrial area, which for privacy we appreciated. About the only people you will see there are those going to the club, it did not appear there were other open businesses around. There is parking on site for $20 (valet or park yourself) and lots of street parking. Be prepared to walk if you're not early and do not want to pay, the side streets fill up fast. IMO, it is well worth the $20, and the men working valet were very friendly as well. Just prior to leaving the manager stopped by to see how things were going and he was extremely kind, very chatty and thanked us for coming. We are looking forward to returning!

The food served, the drinks from the bartenders, and the overall classy and timeless feeling the Austin Club gave made for a beautiful reception full of joy. The blue ceiling mural has a face of one of the local opera singers back in the day; Priscilla. Across the way was the bar and dining. It was a little past midnight and we went to get a birthday celebration drink for my birthday. The bartender said they were closed. My best friend asked when did they close and she wanted to get my birthday drink. Our bartender was beyond kind. Left and head up to our room. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable! Hotel beds tend to be meh, not this location! When we were checking out, we asked if they would hold our suitcases for an hour or two and without hesitation, they were happy to help. My two disappointments were: 1. Trying to find and drop off from the car is a hassle, even at midnight. We weren't offered any service when getting out of the car. 2. The up deck were the fitness and pool floor. The pool is extremely small, should be no more than 20 people max. The view from outside is beautiful.

Well, what I got was an under seasoned, overcooked, hunk of meat that resembled roadkill. It was gray and fatty and not anything that should be served at any restaurant! I also ordered a large side of fries to go with it. What I got was a small Styrofoam container with EXACTLY 10 fries. Now for the service: I sat at the bar and ordered a soda while I waited. The bartender seemed to not understand what "Sprite" was and I needed to point out the soda gun to her and what it was. To be fair, there may have been a language barrier there on her part, but it just adds to the whole lack of customer service, particularly when I finished it, my glass just sat there needing a refill, and that would have to be the first time I've ever experienced that anywhere in the United States. Not wanting to eat dinner there again the following night, after working all day, I decided I'd get something simple at Walmart to eat in my room. I Went to the restaurant again, to merely ask for a plastic knife, fork, and salt and pepper ( that I was provided with the night before) and was flat out told that they can't help me. Quite taken aback, I decided to go to the front desk. The lady there had a major " I don't give a sh@t" attitude and suggested I go and ask the bar. I then asked her if she could simply go to the breakfast area to get me some plastic wear so I could eat my dinner, and she reiterated that she couldn't help. Exasperated, I asked if there was any salt and pepper for me in this entire building? She stated again that she couldn't help because apparently the bar/restaurant is not actually affiliated with the hotel. Returning to the bar AGAIN, I politely asked the lady once more for help, and she quite rudely told me that I couldn't be in there with outside food, when all I wanted was a plastic knife and fork and some salt and pepper!. She grumpily told me "You'll have to wait a while" Even though it was the place that I got a plastic knife and fork the previous night. Fed up, I decided to drive a 15 minute round trip to Dollar General to get some plastic knives and forks, and salt & pepper; the service there was great! Returning to my room, I'd also noticed, my room had been cleaned, even though I had a "do not disturb" sign on the door. Shout out to Walmart and dollar general For your excellent customer service.
