One of the better taco trucks in Vacaville great service, fast, friendly, and food was delicious

I always like to try out any food truck I stumble across. This place had great reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the chicken nachos. I wish I'd known the cheese was canned nacho cheese and not fresh grated. I really hate that ballpark cheese sauce. The chicken was OK, but there was so much cheese and other sauces that the chips quickly bacame a soggy mess. After I made it about halfway through I gave up and threw the rest away. The guy sitting across from me was raving about their hamburger, which did look good. So I decided to order one since I was still hungry. The burger was not great. It had some sort of weird seasoning, which in my opinion, does not belong on a hamburger. But I scarfed it down regardless. Then a few hours later I had VIOLENT diarrhea. I don't know for a fact it was their food that did it, but it was the only thing I'd eaten that day up until about 5pm. It looks like I'm in the minority here, and maybe I just got unlucky, but after that experience I just can't go back. read more

I found this truck last night at an event I took my kids to. I order carne asada fries. This has been a kind go-to order when I try a new place. I travel to three states for work, and let's just say I have these a lot in the past couple of years. None of them has inspired me to write a review until now. The fries were crunchy, and there were multiple kinds of cheese. The meat was flavorful and tender, and the fresh pico de gallo was excellent. Shula's has proven that we can have good Mexican food in Vacaville! I only wish they had a restaurant over their beauty of a truck. Maybe one day they can take over some of the less than pleasant restaurants in our town (old school spots made for los gueros). Catering: We hired Shula's Kitchen to cater a house party and were incredibly pleased with the result. They brought everything with them, including drinks, napkins and silverware. The food was absolutely delicious, as we knew it would be, and the guests were very happy with the tacos, chips salsa, beans and rice. Highly recommend this catering for any party. read more

Shula's Kitchen is authentic Mexican food at its best! My kids and I were looking for a place to eat in Vacaville that was fast but not fast food, and let me tell you Shula's is that! I grew up going to Mexico every December and birria tacos with consomé were my favorite..and I can say Shula's Birria tacos made me feel like I was back in Mexico again! They also have burgers, fries and chicken nuggets which makes it a one stop shop if you have kids like me that are picky eaters. Not only is their food that good but the quality of food is not spared with how fast these lindas mujeres complete orders! Im a sucker for branding and their food truck is a total vibe too!! 10/10! Tip: check their Facebook and Instagram for updates on their hours and locations. This is common with taco trucks so I don't consider this an inconvenience like other reviews have stated. read more

U got to try this for the first time, i enjoy taste different tacos from different establishments. This my first time trying their menu. Had carnitas, and it was so yummy.. I also had the Adasa fries, super generous in the amount and super flavorful. With the nacho cheese the asada meet the sour cream. Oh so yummy . They are parked at Leschwab in Vacaville. Finally, a legit burrito in Vacaville. Until last year, I had either lived and/or worked in Vallejo for the past 25 years and there were always a handful of great taco trucks to choose from. One, I would rank in the top 10 of burritos in the Bay Area. So, compared to Vallejo, Vacaville was always a sort of burrito wasteland for me. I've had everything from atrocious to decent, but never anything to make Grandpa Cruz proud. Shula's hasn't earned the five-star burrito rating yet, but it's a solid four stars and I'll be interested to see where they go. Their food truck usually goes to my workplace. I usually get their Crispy Birria Tacos which is 1. Hefty and filing, 2. Meat is savory and delicious, 3. Affordable. I e also tried their Quesabirria and Carne Asada Street Tacos which are also delicious and juicy. The staff are nice and friendly. Fast service. Very colorful and eye arching food truck. I've been wanting to try Shulas's for about a month now and boy, it did not disappoint. The Quesabirrias are awesome, consume them right there in the lot, they do not skimp! Hot, crispy, lots of birria and cheese. Dip them in the hot sauce and consommé and it takes to another level. These lady's are working hard. They got our order out for us in an efficient time, even with other people also waiting and ordering. We got quesabirrias, consommé, carne asada fries, asada tacos, and pastor tacos. We like to eat. What stood out to me was the quality of meat great! The meat was flavorful and well cooked. Food is pretty good, had it at the Northbay Health admin center a time or two. Customer service on the other hand was terrible. Ordered what I wanted and got #6 as I wait. Saw 2 people order after me (#7,#8), granted I was the only Afro American person amongst the rest of the people standing there about 4 non people of color, 2 Hispanic people, and me. didn't understand why if I'm #6, why #7 and #8 was called before me (2 non people of color). my order in my opinion should've been started and finished before those 2 numbers, but I ended up getting called after. When I asked why (mind you I asked for a coke for my beverage , but the lady is holding a sprite) anyways the lady had the nerve to say it was because the asada fries take longer. I disagree I think since my order was placed earlier should have cooked earlier too. I don't know if they have issues against Afro Americans but I truly didn't appreciate spending money with people that act like that. We were looking for a taco truck around out area and came across Shula's Kitchen on Yelp. They are located on a perfect area with plenty of parking around them, and have set up a table with stools if you decide to stay and eat there. They were so kind ! My husband ordered the California Burrito and I - the carne asada fries. Everything was so delicious, salsas were very flavorful, & they have Agua de Horchata made fresh.
