After watching a food blogger on Instagram do a nice review on Shula's, we thought about giving them a try. We only go on days when they're at the Monte Vista location. They post their weekly schedule on where the food truck will be stationed on Instagram and Facebook. At times, they may not be there as scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances and it's best to check on Facebook with any updates. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a regular chicken burrito. The burger was very delicious with the right seasonings and toppings, and the fries that came with it are so good with a crispy and light crunch to it; sort of like beer battered fries. The regular chicken burrito was tasty and filling. We enjoyed our meals and will return often to get our Mexican food fix!

My family's go-to quesabirria spot!! Each one is well sized and they do not skimp out on the meat portioning inside either! Love mine with extra onions and cilantro. Also got their fries for the first time, which was also good, we enjoyed that the fries were on the thinner side and had a god crunch to them. They're in a small empty parking lot with not much seating if you're trying to eat it right away, depending on the time of day, but they are on door dash so you can make ordering ahead and pick up easy!

We LOVE this food truck! We follow them on social media just to see where they'll be when we're craving good-quality Mexican food. We usually order their street tacos or the quesabirria tacos, which never miss--but today I tried the asada fries and they definitely did not disappoint. You can truly taste the quality in every bite!

    Finally caught em!!! :)

Shula's Kitchen stays on the move!! I finally made it to this food truck for the first time tonight! The excitement is real :D I was warmly welcomed when I walked up and ordered my dinner. After about 10 minutes, the pager I was given, started to buzz. It was after dark, and did not opt to eat outside. I took my food home. There was a tent with lights attached, if you want to eat outside. I'll leave that for next time :) Tonight's dinner: asada fries, birria tacos, and horchata. Shula's gets an A+ for great food (taste, presentation, and portion size), and friendly service. I will be back soon! :)

My. Friend suggested we try this food truck everyone at her job talked about. She thought it was located near Western Ranch but it wasn't there so I looked here to find them. We went with it and traveled to their location near Murillo's. To her surprise, they were there! Why would I Even bring this up?! Well, we were surprised that a food truck, which isn't a brick and mortar, would have their current location. Score!!! Anyway... They have a Tuesday special that allows you to try their quesabirrias and birria tacos for a whopping three for $10! Of course we chose to try it. The darn thing was so damn tasty and incredibly filling. I sent pictures to my family so my son and his friend decided to go to the location and try it. He agreed it was tasty and filling. What impressed him the most is how thoughtful they were to have a tent for them to eat under. It's the little things that means a great deal. My husband tried their asada burrito was torn if he would eat it all at one sitting or save half for later. He chose the latter. I have to go back and try their nachos and pouring the birria consommé over the whole Thing.

Shula's food truck was easy to spot! The Birria taco Tuesday special hit the spot! If you happen to be in the area give them a try.

Service: The nicest folks ever! Knowing it was our first time they gave us samples that were oh so delicious!!! Thanks again! Food is prepared to order so you have to wait but not long, and it was worth it. Food is fresh, flavorful and prepared with love. A couple snafus occurred like I didn't get a carne asada taco but the marinated pork taco was good. Hubbies chicken burrito was mostly rice. See pic. Not deal breakers because the service far outweighed these issues. We both liked the tacos better than the burritos but we ate the tacos onsite, and the burritos the next day. So having the food right then might have overshadowed the oven reheating done the next day. Its a food truck that travels and does special events. We'll definitely be going back soon.

    Chicken taco...Bacon cheeseburger with fries...

First time there today. Easy access from the street. This place in parking lot where America's best inn is. I ordered the bacon cheese burger that comes with fries plus a crispy chicken taco. Everything was delicious. Service was great. I am definitely going again...

The food is good and they make you feel welcome. Ambiance is simple and like what you might expect at a well run family owned diner. The restaurant is clean and it is calming to enter. I looked, and every customer appeared to be really enjoying their meal...It had that kind of ambiance. Hospitality is a very welcoming 6 stars. They are attentive and treat you nicer than you expect at a business. The food is served in very generous portions and they make a good, house made, horchata. I recommend ordering some. If grandkids are listening, I say the food is pulled up a bit by you're hospitality. Pico de gallo? A blended maybe cooked tomato chili salsa? Freshly chopped onion and cilantro? The rice is a bit bland, but when combined with the red wet burrito sauce, it is fantastic. I think a drizzle of that sauce should be on the inside of every burrito. I am a foodie, and I am giving you a full five stars overall, but recommend a little more fresh veggie. I only write reviews if establishments are excellent or somehow a disappointment. Tacos Jalisco is excellent and deserves your business.

If you want good Mexican you gotta hit Jalisco". Say less. "Oh, and get their green salsa." Ok, you said a little more but we'll get back to that. I headed out the door and started driving. Soon I realized I didn't actually know where I was going (not unusual for me) and called the host. All sorted out I not only found Tacos Jalisco but got the (green) spot right in front. Valet parking would have been less convenient. Things were looking up. I went full gringo and bought a super burrito. Was it OK? No. Was it good? No. Was it great? Getting there. Was it superb? Warmer. Was it T R A N S C E N D E N T? YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the sauce good? Ok, let's not do this again. Yes! The sauce was HELLA GOOD! How good? Let's just say they sell it by the bottle FOR A REASON, primo. For a reason. Did I buy a bottle? Uh, do people come from out of state to buy bottles to freeze? Uh, yes. So yeah, you best believe I copped a bottle. Call the burrito Davíd Blaine because that lil hommie disappeared real quick. (I got the al pastor which was perfect btw. ) The ambiance? I don't know. Do you remember the color of the carpet when you were at the California Lottery's finance office to pick up your Powerball winnings (you picked lump sum)? Then you know what I'm talking about. A lot of tops. Place was clean. Menu's were easy to read. The very nice lady working the register was hella cool and even offered up suggestions when I was vacillating. Lots of dudes in the kitchen so my to-go came out real quick. (Lots of cooks to me means they're doing a brisk business. Which means fresher food. Faster service. Etc. You know the ------ vibes! So all I have now is this bottle of green salsa and the knowledge that refills are only $5.00. For life. Yes they make it fresh every damn day. Stop playing. Maybe I'll see you at Tacos Jalisco when I'm filling up my bottle.

I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans, rice, and all the toppings you'd typically find in a carnitas burrito, while my wife went with a cheese quesadilla. While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a bottle of Pacifico and some chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice balance, not too spicy and not too mild. The carnitas were tender and flavorful, and the bowl was filling without feeling overly heavy, and my wife was happy with her quesadilla as well. My evaluation is based on the pollo verde--which was an outstanding flavor at the prior location. I ordered a burrito and there is no flavor in this sauce. It's practically inedible, honestly.
