We were staying in the hotel. We had happy hour once and breakfast twice. Food and drinks were great. Service was quick and friendly.

Located inside the Hilton Hotel, this classic steakhouse definitely didn't disappoint! We were celebrating a special occasion and they mentioned it at the hostess stand when they greeted us and there was a plaque on the table waiting for us with the same message. We even received a complimentary dessert brought out to us without even asking. These extra touches didn't go unnoticed and were very much appreciated. Those types of things are a real old school touch that you don't see much anymore at restaurants. There are several restaurants around at this price point and I bet they aren't going above and beyond like Shula's... Our server was very friendly, professional, and attentive. Even though the place looks formal inside, it isn't stuffy. It wasn't very crowded on the evening we were there which was nice, so weren't elbow to elbow with other guests. I had the filet and he had the crab cakes. Since everything is a la carte, we ordered the puree potatoes and asparagus as our side items. Everything we ordered was excellent and delicious. read more

Given that we arrived in Naples late on a Sunday evening, we were hardly in the mood to explore let alone find a good restaurant as it was getting late. Happily Shula's Steakhouse awaited us off the lobby of our Hilton Hotel. And given that the evening was seeing a crucial football playoff with Coach Shula's storied Miami Dolphins, I thought a visit was in the stars. We were seated promptly with a nice table near the bar as the establishment was already pretty crowded. My wife had the French onion soup while I decided upon Lobster Bisque. We both ordered NY Strip steaks with one side of sauteed mushrooms. Be careful here as each side dish really adds up as in many steakhouses. For drinks we stayed with wine; my wife decided upon a Pinot Noir and I tried a Zinfandel. Both good choices for the steaks, which by the way were exceptional. Whole meal was top notch. Service was spot on and correct and not pushy to order additional wine. Shula's gets the details right. read more

I made reservations for my father's 65th birthday more than a month in advance as he's been wanting to dine at Shula's for some time now. I don't rate anything under three stars because one bad experience doesn't necessarily mean it's always going to be bad, but we had numerous occurances that will make us skip the 1.5 hour drive and $300+ dinner next time. The food was okay, but our service was just terrible. Terrible. We would have had better service at the Outback Steakhouse! The server started off with a noticeable attitude and was in such a hurry to get us out of there (a table of 5). The Birthday boy ordered two appetizers for his entree (bbq shrimp and steak tips as recommended by the staff) and a salad. The salad came out with his entree even after I clarified that the two apps were his entree only. Then my nephew ordered his steak well done (I know a sin at a steakhouse), but his steak came out so charcoaled that no one in their right mind would eat it. I can't believe they even served it. The server tried to argue that it was well done, but I asked them to replace it and eventually he did. The server never brought the creamed spinach or my nephew's mashed potatoes. My Dad ordered a glass of tea and his glass was empty most of the night while the server no where to be found. There were many open tables, it was not a super busy night for a Saturday at 6pm. If it wasn't for the very nice food runner or water pourer (not sure the term), we would have never laughed or smiled the entire night. The tip went to the server, but all of it should have gone to the staff, not the server. For perspective, we ordered two 8 oz fillets ($54 ea), 3 salads, two appetizers (about $14-16 ea), a grilled chicken sandwich (about $30), grilled salmon ($33) and recieved two sides (about $10 ea). Our total bill came to $272 not including tip. We expected a fine dining experience and received just the opposite. I recommended dinning at many other wonderful restaurants in the area before trying Shula's. read more

Before I go on with the food, let me first talk about our server COURTNEY, who was the best!!! Right at the start, answered so many non stop questions with us four about the food, timing of dishes and the menu. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful with our selections to make it a great dining experience here. She's been employed here for six years. She's very professional, very personable, engaging and we were extremely happy with the service. Next time here, it's a must to ask for her. THANKS AGAIN COURTNEY!! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Management was extremely helpful in replacing my friend's first choice of Norwegian Salmon which wasn't cooked to her liking of medium rare, because it may have been more medium to well, they graciously replaced it with her choice then of the Black Grouper which was excellent. Then offered her another glass of wine. That was extremely nice and generous of Mgmt. to make sure she was happy. That was great and we again applaud you!!!!What was also nice was the comfort of the chairs and surroundings. We got there at 6:00 and left nearly three hours later. Not feeling rushed and enough tables and areas to be filled as they were earlier. You'll get to finish all your talks. Pleasant surroundings. BTW, The only picture missing was my wife's Caesar Salad which was very good! She had the special off the 3 course FALL MENU for $48....Salad/Entree/Dessert. My salad/entree/side was a la carte. My wife Ordered a French 75. Total fail. I ordered a Manhattan, which they proceeded to shake instead of stir. Watery and not tasty. Main courses were acceptable, and even lovely. Dessert was a chocolate lava cake. Lava inside was still hard and cold and quality of cake was below Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker. Proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our bill to no fault of our server, Avi. There was a private party distracting all servers from their tables. All in all, just a below average experience for a place that claims to be much better. read more

Absolutely delightful experience. The staff is friendly and incredibly efficient. I honestly can't get over how wonderful each individual staff member was and how they treated me. The bartender made me a perfect cucumber cocktail and she was beyond lovely and attentive. The lunch special was delicious. The sweet bacon on the wedge salad was out of this world. Cavemen who can swing s large credit card will be delighted here. This place is all about great meat. And it is great, well prepared and very expensive. The ambiance is nice, the service is great and the bartender makes a great Old Fashioned. Like many great steakhouses, nothing comes with that expensive hunk of meat. Each side and salad is at a cost add on. I just wished they had the open pricing courage to add fifteen dollars to include a salad and a side to the base offer while leaving the other choices for add ones or upgrades. So just hear me out: I was here on an overnight for work, leaving early the next day. I decided to order to-go, and take it to my room. First-- upon entry, it looks like a classy spot with private tables and a cozy bar; so for ambiance, I'd give it a 5 for sure. I ordered a burger with fries and the French onion soup. While the burger was cooked perfectly, and there was a delicious flavor, it was overwhelmingly salty. Fries were room temperature when given to me. French onion soup-- I believe this would be excellent had I been at a table. The portion for to-go is absolutely NOT worth the price, and it's mostly bread and cheese. (Again, yes, I know I ordered it to-go.) However I would be apt to try it again, during a sit down dining experience. The biggest turn off though, was the hostess. She was not overtly friendly, borderline stand-off-ish, and failed to call my room when the food was ready (as she promised to do). Also, no one checked to see if there were utensils (I had to turn around and ask.) French onion soup with no spoon would be rather fun I daresay, however it was an experience I wasn't down for. Overall, I would consider trying this place again, but not for a takeout order. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to do a "Staycation" at the Hilton in Naples. Beautiful hotel and seemed every employee walked by with a smile and hello. After a great dinner we stopped by the bar. Nate made us a Espresso Martini of which we asked to have it made with tequila instead of vodka of which he wasn't a stranger to and all I can say is....Perfect dessert! Nate is the only bartender at Shulas that works hard to please all clientele, whether they are local regulars or first time visitors. I was so looking forward to dinner at Shula's since my wife and I have been a to a few of these throughout the country. All of our meals at the other locations were truly great. First time at the Naples one was a little disappointing. They were offering a price fixed 3-course meal which seemed like a great deal. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, Beef filet entree and chocolate cake for dessert . My wife ordered the Caesar salad, Filet entree and Key Lime pie for dessert. We were very pleased with the food which overall was very good. The only issue was the Key Lime pie which was very sugary and granular. Unfortunately, the service (which was good at the beginning) became non-existence once the restaurant started filling up. Waited forever for a second drink order, the desserts and the check. By the end, we started to worry that our waitress had become ill and left. read more
