7 ox filet mignon with mashed potatoes
    Nola F.

My daughter and I ate here twice. One of the times was with a friend of mine. We started off with happy hour drinks at the bar. I really enjoyed my margarita. The lady bartender was very nice and accommodating. It gets busy at the bar so I suggest arriving when happy hour starts at 3pm. My first experience was better than the second. I had 1/2 of a house/market salad filet mignon with whipped mashed potatoes and a slice of raspberry cheesecake. I enjoyed the steak. The mashed potatoes were good although on the plainer side. I was not impressed with the salad. It was pretty standard. I loved the creamy, raspberry cheesecake. Brandon was our server and he was phenomenal. The second time we are there we each ordered a different burger. It was OK. The fries were undercooked. After about 15 minutes, our server did not bring over bread after we requested it. The manager recognized us from the night before and he had someone else bring it over. He was very pleasant. The burger and fries is an excellent value. It is very filling. I ended up switching burgers with my daughter because I did not like my burger. So I ate the Umami burger. She thought they were both acceptable so she did. The environment here is a traditional steakhouse. They had some wonderful singers on Friday night.

Went to Shula's to celebrate my birthday. Server was Paulie C. Excellent service. Food was great - filet mignon and lobster was delicious! Great date night out with the husband!

We were glad this was our restaurant option while staying at the hotel, which made it easier to just walk down to have dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar and were welcomed by the bartender. He was friendly and attentive. Since we were not very hungry, we just had appetizers and drinks before calling it a night. We ordered the calamari and crab cake, with were delish, fresh and made to order. This is a good option for sure, keep in mind that it would be pricey but worth it.

We had a great dinner while staying at the Hilton. Solid example of a prime steakhouse. Steaks were great as were the sides. Service was excellent and Cocktails were not over priced which was a surprise. The dark oak walls gave an upscale feel without being pretentious. Outstanding place!

This is not a place for supper, this is a place to dine. The atmosphere was amazing. Piano player, nice facility and great customer service. The fresh french bread and sea salt butter for the table was delicious. I had the French onion soup, one of the best I've had in a while, and wife ordered the market salad. She was very satisfied with that choice. We then split the NY Steak. It was so well prepared. Our side was a shared baked potato with the works. Also very tasty. Although very full we did also get the Apple Strudel dessert. Not a real strudel, more like an elevated mini apple pie. Wife loved it.. not my favorite due to too much nutmeg but I wasn't disappointed. I'll also give 2 thumbs up for our server JoEllen.

Came for brunch and had the avocado toast with 2 poached eggs. The eggs were slightly overcooked but overall flavor of the toast was good. My friend ordered turkey bacon and got regular bacon. Otherwise it was good. Mimosas are decent. Ramona was our server she was pretty good. McKenzie manager was really nice. Took a while to get seated.

First off as soon as we walk in, we are greeted by a wonderful host with a smile on her face!! The manager Justin who is incredibly charming in a respectful way, brought us to our seats!! Super friendly down to earth, and took care of us from beginning to end!! My mother who just turned 65 was very pleased by our Server Nate who was so funny he brought us birthday vibes desserts confetti the whole shebang!!! We are so going back!!! And we can't wait!!! Everything on the menu looks delicious!! My wedge salad was to die for that tomato bacon jam i mean hellooo i want it on everything!!! My mom's Chicken Marsalla was excellent!! I couldn't stop myself from ordering a side of béarnaise sauce!! Thick and creamy not too lemony!! Everything was perfect!! 10 out of 10 guys. Nice job. See you soon. Happy New Year's.

She lives is probably one of the best steakhouses in Naples. We typically dine there once a week on Saturday nights. The service is impeccable. The food is perfectly cooked every time. I've never had a better steak than I have here. I'm a pretty picky eater when it comes to my medium rare fillets. I've never been disappointed eating here. Maureen is one of the best servers I've had in many many years taking great care of us and meeting all of our culinary needs

I parked near their walkway sign and once I ventured through, it's such a lovely walk up to the restaurant with a bridge over water with fountains and tons of blooms everywhere. Once inside, I was met with a bright, crisp dining room that was clean and comfortable. We started with cocktails and I got their version of a Manhattan, the hog-hattan. It's made with Whistlepig 6 year and came out on the rocks. Manhattans not served up are kinda a pet peeve of mine--but this one? Truly and honestly one of the best Manhattans of my life. The server did not steer me wrong. It was exquisite. For my dinner, my dining companion and I opted for a deal they had that allowed you a starter and main for a reasonable price. I got the kale salad for my starter which was bursting with flavor--chopped kale, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, chevre, and a bright citrus-y vinaigrette--what's not to love? For my main, I got their Mahi Mahi which was also perfectly executed. It was served over a bed of rice and asparagus with chopped mango and a sauce (not sure what kind but balanced the dish perfectly) on top. I would have a hard time not ordering this dish again. It was craveable. Our server was lovely and provided wonderful recommendations for both myself and my dining companion. No notes! Get to it!

I asked for her recommendations and I went with the hogfish sandwich. Luckily, she told me I could get it grilled and blackened instead of fried. I could tell they knew how to cook fish because it came out perfectly. Most would probably think it was undercooked, but that's how fish should be cooked. I appreciated this attention to detail and thought it was delicious.

WOW, what a disappointment!…read more Decided to come here for mother's day brunch. Like many places in Naples, a prix fix menu was standard. I gave this restaurant two stars. Not for the food. But for the service. It really should be 1.5 stars but this system doesn't allow that. Let me explain. Let's start with the appetizers. Best thing on the menu was the beet salad and goat cheese. Probably the best part of the entire meal and its presentation was fantastic. Followed by the clam chowder. Lobster bisque was pretty bad as was the ceasar salad. Onto the main items. PRIME RIB. Many ordered this but not one person liked or finished theirs. In some cases overly fatty and in others the meat was super chewy and barely flavorful. Most of prime rib from all guests was taken home to feed to the dogs. Fish was a tri-tip, overly salty but also undercooked. Desserts - Have t say the donuts were the clear winner. Key Lime Pie had a gross drizzle of raspberry sauce (While do so many restaurants do this?). Creme de pot, so sweet that your teeth hurt from eating it. Look, if you are going to charge high prices and have a prix fix menu for a special occasion like mother's day or other, then THAT menu of items better be spot on and near perfect. In this case, "M" failed miserably. Certainly won't be back.

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Naples -- Don't Sleep on This Place!…read more I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing -- the outside patio was at full capacity. I asked for a seat at the bar, and even though space is very limited, the staff went above and beyond to find me one. That kind of effort on a packed afternoon says a lot about this team. The bartender was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and somehow managed to make every single person at that busy bar feel like they were the only guest in the restaurant. The whole staff carried that same energy. They were also wonderfully descriptive about the daily specials and menu offerings, which made ordering a pleasure rather than a guessing game. I decided to try the crab cake, and I'm so glad I did. I grew up on the East Coast eating crab, and I've had my fair share -- I've long held that Phillips in Maryland made the gold standard. I am happy to report that Captain & Crew has dethroned them in my book. This crab cake was pure lump crab meat, not overpowered by fillers or seasoning. You could actually taste the crab. The accompaniments they served alongside it elevated the whole dish even further. Thoroughly impressed. The wine pairings were equally well-curated. I took the staff's recommendations and they absolutely nailed it. A heads-up for first-timers: parking is the one small challenge. There's no convenient lot right there, so you may need to use a parking garage and walk over. Honestly? Embrace it. If you're already in Downtown Naples, it's a beautiful stroll that perfectly sets the mood before you arrive. Captain & Crew is a true hidden gem. Service started a little slowly--we didn't meet our server for about 15 minutes, although another team member quickly brought us water and drinks. Once our server arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. It seemed like he may have been covering several tables that evening, so we completely understood. Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. We'd gladly give Syren another try.
