To begin with, their doctors and physician assistants are excellent. They know what they are doing and they provide the care that you expect. So this is definitely a good thing as, after all, this is why anyone would go to the doctor's office. What are the problems? 1) Wait... And lots of waiting. Even with appointments, I've waited for up to an hour even when in the examination room. Once is fine but two times in a row, it seems too much of a coincident. I would appreciate it if they learn to value their patient's time! And if this is a recurring incidence, it would be helpful if they learn to schedule longer appointments and not schedule patients back-to-back in 15 minutes intervals. It just makes sense to correct it. 2) Still seems to be unorganized in getting their ducks all in a row from paperwork to getting test results ready before the appointment. Come on, the upgrade to the patient management that you had was supposed to help, but it sure doesn't seem like it. I may give it one more try and will make my ultimatum after that.

I didn't have a lot of eggs, so I had to undergo several retrievals. As I got older, the quality of my eggs also declined. At my last retrieval, when I was 40, Dr. Aimee recommended trying PRP. She was very honest with me that it was a newer procedure, but that the results were promising. I ended up retrieving just two eggs. We created embryos, and incredibly, we ended up with one healthy baby boy and one healthy baby girl. Our son--the little boy my husband had always hoped for--came from one of those eggs I retrieved at age 40. With Dr. Aimee's help, I became pregnant through IVF, and we welcomed our beautiful son, who is now 2 1/2 years old. When we decided we wanted a second child, my previous delivery had been difficult, so we made the decision to use a surrogate. Once again, Dr. Aimee was there for us every step of the way. The doctor, Lorisa, was speaking very quickly and sometimes stumbling over her words, which made it difficult for me to translate everything correctly. When I asked her to repeat herself so I could properly understand and translate for my mom, she seemed bothered. At one point, she got very close to my face and looked at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. My mom and I both noticed her attitude and felt like she was frustrated with us. I understand that doctors are busy and have many patients, but that is not an excuse to make patients or their family members feel uncomfortable for simply asking questions and trying to understand what is being discussed. This is someone's health and potentially someone's life, so communication should be taken seriously. Because the doctor seemed bothered by me helping translate, she eventually sent a supervisor who spoke Spanish. The supervisor, Frania (I apologize if I misspelled her name), was extremely kind, patient, and helpful. However, she explained many things to my mom that the doctor had not gone over, including information about the list, costs, and other important details. This unfortunately made me look bad to my mom because I was trying to help her understand, but the doctor had not explained everything to us in the first place. I truly appreciate Frania for being so respectful and taking the time to communicate with my mom. Unfortunately, the doctor's attitude and the lack of communication made this experience very disappointing. Having a job where you care for people is important, but the way you treat your patients matters just as much as the medical care itself. The procedure removed layers of skin much more deeply than I expected, and the skin never recovered properly. I was left with permanent scarring and have spent more than 10 years trying to correct the damage and improve the appearance of my face. During my recovery, I was also asked to backdate a release so that he could continue treating me. I found that request deeply troubling and inappropriate. What makes this especially difficult is that I have to see the results every day when I look in the mirror.
