Was looking for an afternoon cap before heading home and we were walking around downtown Saratoga…read morehoping to find a place that was open before 5 PM and we found Roudon-Smith. Al the owner was there working and happy to serve us! My girlfriend and I shared a tasting, it comes with 7 wines. I believe 2 whites, a rose, and 4 reds. Most of the wines he was serving were vintages and the some of the case pricings he is offering are great deals! I really enjoyed the lighter wines, the Voigner, Chardonnay and the Rose were quite good. I bought a bottle of Chard and Rose, and looking forward to opening them on a warm sunny day. Wish I grabbed two of the Chard but I work close by so I can drop in again.

I wasn't expecting to be there for more than an hour, but he really walked us through and told stories about every wine on the flight which I enjoyed. (It bugs me when they just dumped wine in your glass and have you read the description on your own) Seven tastings of whites and reds for 10 bucks!! I had read reviews of someone complaining that they were mostly vintages, but first of all the wines arranged from 2013 to 2023, and secondly there wasn't a single wine on the tasting that I didn't enjoy. Even the Chardonnay, which is typically my least favorite type of white wine wasn't too buttery. At $10 a flight I didn't feel compelled to buy out my flight but you can with two bottles which we ended up doing since we enjoyed the flights. The bottles were really affordable ranging from 25 to 35 . I really couldn't decide between the Cabernet franc and the Zinfandel which were both complex yet with an easy finish Overall, a really nice experience to have before having dinner in downtown Saratoga

Each consisted of 3 - 3 oz pours. The 3 flights covered all the wines they had available for tasting. Not a single bad wine and we liked most of them. Prices are on the higher end, but wines are high quality They allow outside food. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. Decent views. Service was excellent. Tasting by appointment only The drive there is no fun, literally on a dirt road hiking path for a mile or 2. Not enough room for 2 way traffic, but luckily we didn't encounter any other cars on the road going there or leaving. Worth checking out

They just opened last year so I guess not many people know about it. But the drive up is rough and winding. The one way dirt road is shared with hikers too. It is sister winery to Mount Eden. Mount Eden is only open weekdays while Domaine Eden is only open weekends. They serve both wineries' wines for tasting. They have 5 tasting flights varying from $30, $40, $45, $60, and $65. 3 wines per flight and they pour a good portion. We got to try 3 different flights to share. Mount Eden Estate , Chardonnay, and Cabernet flight. All the wines were pretty good. Fruit forward and bold. Our favorites were the first Chardonnay , Pinot noir Tanaka project , and Cab from Mount Eden library. I believe it was 3 bottles purchase to waive a tasting fee. Pricey wines. There was only one male staff. He was friendly and made sure we had enough shade when the umbrella shade moved. You can bring outside food. Nice Mountain View.

We of course did the wine flight - and fell in love with the wine. The person pouring the wine was excellent, and took the time to talk about each type. Subsequently, we signed up for the wine club even though we live across the country. Thank you for a great experience, Gali! And thank you for all the amazing wine! We can't wait to enjoy it in Maryland.

This place is owned by a husband and wife team. The tasting room in Los Gatos is cute with several tables, couches and seating at the bar and limited seating outside. You can walk in for a tasting or a glass or two of wine but it's best to make a reservation if it is a larger group. Tasting is $20 that is waived with purchase of 2 bottles or if you become a wine club member. The parking is the difficult part, but it's just to this tasting room. Downtown Los Gatos in general has limited parking. The first time I arranged a meetup event tasting here, it was not that busy on a weekend. Gail, one of the owners served us. What all of us noticed is that while she poured the wine for our tastings, she did not linger to talk about each wine nor did she promote the wine club or even ask us if we wanted to purchase anything. It was not busy at all so can't blame it on that. We wrote it off as a fluke. But, this happened the next time we went as a group and at the various wine walks. Gail will be smiling and will pour the wine for the people in front of us but as my group and I approach, the smile is gone. She will pour the tasting but wait for us to move on - again no explanation on what she is pouring etc. This past week, I was talking to her at an event and she just brushed me off with her hand and talked over me to some one else. I met the husband at the 2024 Vine to Wine event and we had a long conversation, which was a welcome change. Frankly, I don't remember what she poured or whether it tasted good, I came away with the memory of the person pouring.
