We spotted this restaurant from the highway and decided to stop in for lunch. They have a huge menu and a full bar so there's options galore! The restaurant itself is large, great for groups, and seems to be clean and kept nicely. Our server was very friendly and provided great service. Everything we tried was served hot and prepared nicely with delicious flavors. The tortilla soup wasn't our favorite but it was still decent soup. The meats were all very flavorful and all the toppings were fresh and very good. We'll be back soon to try more options from the large menu. We want to try the margarita varieties as well. read more

So many people had been recommending this spot so we finally tried it. It was very good! The menu has a ton of options. It is a bit more expensive than other restaurants but you're paying for better flavor. We tried the Tacos al Pastor, chicken Fajita, and Chorizo con Queso Fundido. Si Señor is one of the best Mexican food, sit down restaurants in the area. The service is always great and the food comes out quickly, even when it's busy. It's extremely clean and the tables feel nice and secluded. We ordered the Fajitas for 2 with Chicken and Steak as the meats. It comes with rice and beans plates for both people with sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, and cheese. And choice of corn and/or flour tortillas. We also ordered a house margarita, which was huge. And of course we got the chips, salsa, and bean dip as a free appetizer. Great place, the drink i got was pretty strong. This place was next to the hotel I was staying at and I regret not going every day while I was staying there. Food was also delishes, I got Barbacoa De Res, which I've never had. I asked the waiter and she recommended it. We have lived in the area for a long time and frequented another Mexican restaurant that had been in this building. We were so happy that is was open again so we wanted to check it out. They have done a nice job with the interior. It is a large restaurant but they have separate rooms, so feels cozy. We had a plate of the ceviche tostados as an appetizer. There were three of us so we all got one. Really tasty! Our son ordered the Birra Tacos which came with an authentic dipping sauce. He really enjoyed them. My friend and I shared the Alhambra dinner for two which had a variety of dishes on a large plate. Everything was great and we could not finish it. The catch was that we went in on a Monday night and service was S L O W. Drinks, appetizer and meal came out quite slow. I asked about that and they said they only have three cooks in the kitchen on Monday instead of the usual seven. They might consider four cooks at a minimum. read more

Met up with some family for lunch here and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had a carne asada salad, which might not sound exciting, but the steak was really good. My husband had a fish soup and said it was delicious. My family members ordered pozole and chimichangas, and both of them said their meals were great. The biggest disappointment was the Bloody Marys. They were not good at all, which I guess makes sense since this is a Mexican restaurant, but they were honestly pretty bad. On the positive side, they serve free chips with bean dip and salsa, which were both excellent. One thing that really bothered me was the added 3 percent service fee on the bill. I think that is unnecessary and tacky. It feels like restaurants are already charging high prices, so adding extra fees just leaves a bad impression. Overall, the food was solid, but the service charge and those Bloody Marys were disappointing. I might come back if I am craving Mexican food, but it is not a place I would go out of my way for. read more

Better than Margarita Factory but still nothing to get excited over. PNW Mex is limited to some taqueria's, restaurants here really taste like they were made by a guy named Fred. I got a combo plate. The chicken taco tasted like basic generic ingredients. The shell was not soft or crispy. Limp. The ground beef in my enchilada was good: the rice and beans were tasteless and extremely skimp in portion. Not the hearty portion you usually get at a Mexican restaurant. I love this restaurant. It's better than average Mexican food for sure. Tortillas made in house, salsas as well. Nice variety of regional menu items. I especially liked the Pollo Mole Verde, Burrito Esperesso with shredded beef, steak fajitas, Enchiladas Banderitas, and Chile Relleno. Their dishes are also usually tasty enough that you really don't need hot sauce. Very enjoyable atmosphere without Bud Light neons, Oregon Video Lottery machines, or dusty decorative sombreros. There's a good selection of Mariachi music playing in the background while you eat, and the service is attentive and friendly. The place is also really clean, comfortable, cozy, and inviting. We go a couple times a month for lunch and order a table side preparation of fresh guacamole, which is fantastic. The house margarita packs a wallop and is big enough to share. The seafood tacos are epic--pick either fish or shrimp--you can't go wrong. Also impressive are the burritos and steaks, which are seasoned perfectly. I've only been once for happy hour. Staff is friendly and helpful, although waiter service was slow on clearing plates and following up to see if we had additional needs. I don't have a complaint about service, though. The Cadillac margarita was strong and delicious. Quesobirria tacos were also delicious, but I'll skip the taco bar offered in the bar area next time. Just order from the menu. The taco bar is a good idea, but barbacoa was dry (soupy, but dry meat) and bland. Chicken tinga was better, but still just meh. The complimentary chips are great (got, fresh, crispy) and salsa is ok but too mild IMO. The salsas with the taco bar were unpleasant. Major points for fresh tortillas that you can buy to take home as well. I'd go back for happy hour to try more items. I'm not yet convinced that the food is worth their regular prices, but that's TBD. read more

I have been a fan for over 20 years starting at thier Sylan location ( stopped their on the way back from the airport) it was almost 10pm closing time but Joel told us it's ok amigo I have things to do. Take your time and enjoy! I became a regular at the Hall Street location (Joel was bartender after Sylvan) eating there 2 to 3 times per week and an occasional stop in-between for thier refreshing Michalada. Now I'm a regular at the new L.O. location, although I live closer to Hall. I always sit at the bar so naturally I follow my bar tender. Hector is the best! Excellent bartender! Always spot on with any drink I order. I dont understand the average 3.5 star reviews. Don't let that stop you from visiting for the first time! Try thier Carnitas or Tour de Mexico plate. I garuntee you will not beable to wait until your next visit. I know or my nick name isn't "The Main Chingon" I was there Saturday night and gave Hector one of my companies hat as a small token of my appreciation for our many years of friendship. Just walking into this location was wonderful, it's a beautiful restaurant. The service was friendly and timely. The food was fantastic. I can honestly say that it's the first time that we've ordered a chile relleno, and it was actually delightful! The beans were flavorful, as was the rice. I was eagerly anticipating this Mexican restaurant opening in Lake Oswego. It's been at least 4 years since the former Chevy's shuttered. Si Senior is a local group with the original (OG) being based in Beaverton on Hall Road. This restaurant has been completely remodeled with a beautiful atrium, wall fountains, and an uprooted tree adorned by floating lanterns above. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. They serve complimentary chips with salsa and bean dip at the beginning of your meal. We really appreciated that, and we were thrilled to still see that - with all the extra added charm. My mother ordered the tortilla Aztec soup which was hearty with lots of chicken and avocado. My father ordered a combo platter with an enchilada and a taco. I lean more vegetarian, so I ordered the cactus and vegan meat tacos with rice and beans. We all agreed that our food was delicious. However, at the end of our meal I realized I was charged $5 more for my rice and beans which I thought was included as part of my meal. In microscopic print it actually says on the menu that that was an extra charge. The tacos were already $19. These were small / normal sized tacos, so with the extra charge made my meal come up to $24. I may come back for the soup or a combo meal, but I was disappointed with the extra charge with my entree. I feel like the rice and beans should be included with the entree since this is a restaurant and not delivery or a food truck. My waitress never explained the up charge and it was definitely not noticeable at first glance. That was truly disappointing. When I explained my disappointment my waitress apologized and showed a little empathy, but there definitely needs to be some additional changes with the menus. The print is extremely small and difficult to read. All in all, I will give them another try, but wasn't wowed over. I also signed up for text messages about 3 weeks ago on Facebook. They said they had a contest and would also offer dining specials. I haven't received any specials or notification that winners were selected. I only have received a few texts stating they were open. I'm still a bit undecided on this place, that's the reason for the 3 stars. read more

I wanted to share our disappointing experience this evening at the new location. We went to Lake Oswego to celebrate my daughter's 24th birthday. We were quickly seated & greeted which was fantastic.  We made our selections for drink & food and were prepared to order when our server, Jorge, arrived.  We placed our order & I walked up to the hostess & told her we were there to celebrate our daughters birthday IF they do any singing.  She notified me she'd alert the server & did so immediately after I told her.   We were at the table awaiting our order and the food was brought out. A server placed the tray on a stand next to our table and advised us our server would be with us shortly.  Our food sat for 5 minutes, no server, so we served ourselves & watched the clock- we would have waited another 10 minutes before a server was near our table & who knows if they would have placed the food on the table.  We had to wait another 10+ minutes before our drinks arrived.  Food was great & all we've ever previously experienced at Si Senor.  We finished our food, a different server walked over & collected my husband's plate & asked if we needed boxes, I told him 2.  We sat & waited, never got the boxes or saw our server for over 15 minutes. When he finally came by, had to ask for boxes again. We paid our bill finally & left - no birthday acknowledgment.  We were completely disappointed as all of our experiences at  the Beaverton location have been great - this one was a HUGE letdown on such an important day. read more
