I chose the restaurant for my book club's monthly dinner. The parking lot is rather small but if you go earlier in the evening it's fine. The decor is very nice. The booths in the back are very cool. The restaurant was nice and quite too. I ordered pad Thai for the first time. I added shrimp for an additional price. I absolutely loved it. The ingredients were so fresh and yummy. I absolutely loved the sauce on it. The only downside was the slow service. The restaurant was barely half full the entire time we were there but we rarely saw the staff. They took a long time to take our order. In all fairness, I think they thought we were still waiting for a person to join us but they didn't bother to check for a very long time. My family and I have been going here for quite some time and we love this place. It's been made our standard place for celebrations (i.e. birthdays, graduations, etc.). We celebrated my sisters birthday today. She passed away on July 4th, 2013 and this place held a sentimental value to her and us. My review may be on the bias side, but I do think they have great food. We order the beef Pad Thai (hot), which at other restaurants tend to be on the greasy side, but not here. It's more saucy and silky. We also ordered the chicken panang (Thai hot)- creamy, rich and full of flavor; I appreciated the vegetables also had a snap to them and not soggy; garlic eggplant (if you like eggplant try it), and filet salmon. My mom cannot tolerate spicy dishes, so the salmon was her choice which was delicious. It gave a respite to the spicy dishes that were there. We ended the meal in the typical fashion of vanilla fried ice cream- a favorite of everyone in my family, but especially my sister. The nostalgia left us full of memories as well as food. We appreciated the service when they knew why we were here since they have known our family for quite sometime. The apps and dessert were on them and a hug from the owner was icing on the cake. My girlfriend and I prefer the volcano prawns- if you like garlic and spice, this is the dish for you. We also like the chili jam and kee mow. Both dishes are flavorful with spice, but the chili jam wins out by a hair. We also get our dishes Thai spicy with a side of Thai chili's for that added heat factor. Had lunch here today and I have to say, I enjoyed it! It's a pretty big space which you would not expect from the outside view. There are 3 main rooms and we had the pleasure of sitting in the back in a booth. The booths are quite spacey and super comfy! The benches are very wide and the cushions are super comfy. Our waitress was very nice, I was taking a while to order because I was catching up with my friend but they kept tabs on us in a non-annoying way. I went with my go to thai dish, fried rice. I had chicken with brown rice and no egg. The veggies were HUGE and fresh, loved that! Just had my leftovers for dinner it was so yummy. The broccoli and onions were just so good!!! The only problem with Siam Garden is that it is not open on Mondays! Given the business that they do, there is that necessary day of rest. I eat lunch here quite frequently, and am happy to bring my business lunch guests along. I have a few favorites on the menu (prit pow fried rice, anyone?) but everything that my guests have ordered looked delicious, too. The young woman server is wonderful. First off- nicest waitress ever! So I have a love of Thai food, and especially Thai curry. Yellow, Red, Massaman- it's all awesome. The problem is, a lot of places seem to think you only want a little curry just for flavor and not its most amazing use ever- soaking your rice in it, thus making life worth living. I had the Massaman curry with tofu and I have to say- you can actually taste the sweetness of the coconut here! Usually massaman I've gotten elsewhere has been overly nutty or bland, but I absolutely loved it here. I'm also a vagina and asked for it very mild and had no problem. The veggie spring rolls said the wrapping was egg based but I asked and it wasn't true. I don't get why it said it on the menu but whatever. The plum sauce for dipping was awesome but the veggie rolls were "eh" and a bit undercooked. My boyfriend is a meat-eater and got Pad Se-Ew with chicken on a hotness scale of 2 out of 5. He said the first couple bites he felt no heat, then he took a few more and he was happy that it had a nice kick, and then..... he took the two bites from hell. Apparently all the spiciness hadn't been mixed in well and he got two mouthfuls of someone lighting his tongue on fire. After downing his beer it subsided enough for him to finish but it was definitely intense. But he still really liked his meal, despite having a "sunburn on my tongue!" We'll definitely come back and love this place- it just sucks it looks like a crappy place to get cheap lunch buffets from the outside. I'm not sure how the photos you upload while at the restaurant show up but I HAD to take a picture of their Ginger dish because it's first ingredient was "gingers". I will put it out there that I am NOT a fan of Thai food, however, I am a fan of Siam Garden and is the ONLY place I have enjoyed Thai food. It's in a free-standing building that (honestly) looks a little dirty and old from the outside and my main qualm is the small parking lot. However, once inside, the decor is pretty impressive - colorful, authentic Thai decor, clean and bigger than it appears on the outside. The wait staff is also excellent - always very respectful, polite, attentive and the food comes out quick - good job! Now that I have established a liking for Siam Garden, I have established a usual order (also, I'm picky and just plain out refuse to try other dishes - yes, I have the pallet of a child): chicken rice soup and chicken satay skewers (it comes with peanut sauce and a small cucumber salad, but I just give this to the bestie as, again, I have the pallet of a child. The soup tastes so healthy and clean, yet is perfectly, mildly (in a good way, not in a "I can barely taste it way") seasoned and I crave it when I'm sick in bed with a cold. The chicken satay skewers have big pieces of chicken that are not fatty at all and the portion is satisfying. Also, I have to say that Siam Garden has THE BEST FRIED ICE CREAM! The bestie and I have tried fried ice cream at a lot of other different restaurants and no one can beat Siam Garden in the fried ice cream category. We always analyze too - meaning, we really try to figure out how they make it - perhaps they flash, deep fry it in pancake batter? Perhaps there are little fried ice cream fairies in the back? I have wanted to try this place for some time and stopped in for lunch with a friend. I ordered the drunken noodles which is my favorite Thai dish and friend got the Pad Thai. First the service is cold and unfriendly. Our waiter seemed like just being at work was pure torture for him and did not make for a good atmosphere. My food seemed to be under seasoned and was below average. The serving size was huge and prices were cheap as my dish was only 6.95. However with that being said it did not have the spice and flavor I get from the other local restaurants. I would not return here. This us our second trip. We have seen this place for years and never ventured in since Thai Villa is in our neighborhood. On our first visit we tried the red chicken curry to us that is the barometer if a good Thai restaurant. The curry was smooth and silky and a generous portion The twist here is added pineapple,which we were worried about, but it worked. We also had the crispy duck salad. Again a generous portion of very tasty crispy duck. The description matched the product. Service was friendly and prompt. We are on our second and ordered the whole crispy snappy with chili sauce. It comes in various sizes and we share the medium. Amazing how the fish remained perfectly crispy. The chili sauce was well balanced - not too sweet and not to spicy. Plenty of tasty and mosit meat on the fish and an array of vegetables (carrots, snow peas, cabbage) and it came off the spine easily, and no other little bones got in the way. It can be served whole or filleted, if you do not want the pleasure of seeing the head or working to get the meat off (but that's half the fun of it), If you order this please be prepared to wait a little extra time and order an appetizer to hold you over. Siam Garden has great Thai food and if you have friends who are not adventurous eaters this place also seems to appeal to an American palate. Went to Siam Garden for lunch the other day with my office, and I had pretty high hopes since everyone was raving about it. Honestly...I've just had way better Thai food in town. They sat us at this weird "Last Supper" style table that was up against a wall in an awkward way so that those sitting across the table seemed really freaking far away. Smaller tables looked way more conducive to carrying on conversation, but I suppose it is hard to sit a large group at a booth. The price was awesome for lunch; $6.50 for a lunch entree and $3.95 for a salad! Super cheap!! I ordered Broccoli Oyster Sauce with chicken, which was good, but not great. I've had better elsewhere. Their peanut salad dressing was on point though!! And it made me think that next time I go back, I'll try their Param. Service was... eh. The server brought out my salad and a coworker's soup before we got our beverages, and only refilled drinks once during the meal even though we all went through our drinks pretty quickly. I'm a huge fan of Thai restaurants, and I've honestly never heard great things about this place, so I put off going. I think I'll stick with Royal Thai, Sea Thai or Thai House in the future. read more

I have been going here for about 8 years now. Siam Garden is my gold standard for comparing all other Thai restaurants. I have only found one that comes mildly close to the quality and deliciousness that Siam Garden offers and it's in Portland, OR.... Kind of a far drive. I stick to my favorite dishes and I'm never disappointed: Panang, Red and Yellow Curry and Pad Thai. Their appetizers are amazing! The Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon and Satay are among my favorites. Their soups are incredible as well. Try the Tom Kha Gai, it doesn't get much better. While I have ordered things on the menu that have not quite impressed, I still go for my favorite Thai comfort foods every chance I get. The serving staff is usually very friendly, the dishes are consistent in their taste and presentation, and I will keep going here until I move from Orlando. read more

The prices here at the Siam Garden Thai Restaurant were an amazing deal for their quality of food! I ordered the Praram Chicken dish and I had expected soupy peanut sauce with very little meat, because based on the previous Thai restaurants I visited, that was how that same dish was served; with prices even higher than the ones here. But at this particular establishment, all I experienced were incredible prices, sweet delicious food, and a fullness that would last me through the rest of the evening. Their restaurant atmosphere was true to their Thai roots, and their waiters and waitresses demonstrated excellent service, checking up on me and my partner to make sure we had our needs met. Another bonus is when they thanked us and wished us well as we left their establishment. This doesn't seem like a big deal to a lot of customers, but to me it is, as it influences my own lasting impressions with the eatery. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be sure to revisit this place with my boyfriend, my family, and my friends if we ever find ourselves in the mood to try Thai food again; this restaurant was just superb! read more

My car was being serviced at the Volvo dealership, so I was "stranded" for a few hours in the Winter Park area. As lunch time approached, I fired up Yelp and was so pleased to find a highly rated Thai restaurant within walking distance from me. Upon stepping foot inside the door, I was instantly transported back to the late '80s-early '90s, as this restaurant looked just like the Thai restaurant my family visited when I was a child. . .wood paneled walls, newspaper articles with accolades hanging at the entrance, and a traditional seating area towards the back (the kind where you take your shoes off and sit on cushions). To say I was excited was an understatement! I quickly glanced at the menu and found my favorite dishes: pad woon sen and Thai Iced Coffee. I was a little nervous, as they described it as having "Angelhair Noodles" I summoned the waitress over and asked to verify the noodle type, as it is traditionally mung bean noodles (cellophane noodles that are a lot healthier than traditional Italian style noodles) The waitress confirmed that it is a mung bean noodle, so I placed my order and eagerly awaited. Here's where things turned south. The Thai Iced Coffee was undrinkable. I know that it is often made from an instant coffee product and sweetened with condensed milk, but this had a very artificial and chemical taste. My pad woon sen came out shortly after, and had an overcooked taste (the noodles pick up the flavors of what's in the pan, and I feel like something had been burned previously in the pan) It was edible, but not good. I have ordered take out from here before and always liked the food. I was meeting a friend for lunch and I work just up the street so this was a perfect spot to run to on my lunch break. I was seated in the back room, which I didn't mind since we would be catching up and wanting to talk, but we were put all the way in the corner. I didn't mind it too much at first, until i realized that this meant we would be "out of sight, out of mind". There were a few other tables in the same general area, however it took almost 10 minutes for a server to come over and greet me. I was still waiting for my guest to arrive, but being on my lunch break, I did not have too much time to waste. I did see a server walking past look over, and did see me, however did not make an attempt to come greet me. He continued to go about his business, walked over to another table, refilled their drinks and finally made it over to my table. The food was good. We started with the crispy springs rolls which were nice and light, not greasy or oily at all and had a nice flavor. I had the yellow curry lunch special which was a perfect size. It had a nice flavor however it seemed as though the chicken portion was a little on the light side. There were a ton of veggies, just seemed a tad uneven. Overall it was a fine experience however it still seemed the entire time that we were not a priority to the server and we were just an afterthought. I am not a fan of all Thai food, but I do really enjoy Pad Thai, and this one continues to be the best. I went with my wife and this was her first visit. We started with appetizers. The dumplings are the papaya salad were quite good. My wife also had the coconut milk soup and I of course had the shrimp Pad Thai. Everything we had was delicious. My wife was quite complimentary of selections and found them delicious. Just a couple of dings; my wife's silverware was not very clean so she asked it to he replaced, and the service was not particularly friendly.
