My husbands phad thai was not very good but the coconut curry dish i had was good. Also the fresh spring roll appetizer was good.

Thai iced tea is to die for!! We ordered the golden squid and it was well seasoned with the right amount of salt. I ordered the crab fried rice and there was a lot of food. I also tried the snapper in chili sauce and that was delicious too. Service was okay, it was kind of slow and they don't check up on you. But food is well worth it. read more

The food here was very good. Ordered the Pumpkin curry with vegetables and it was fantastic. The flavors were amazing, the dish has a bit of spice. The chunks of pumpkin were delicious. Great serving size. The spring rolls as an appetizer were delicious as well. I may have to visit Daytona Beach (from Michigan) again just to order the pumpkin curry again! Let me start out by saying I eat here at least once a week, and have been for years... The service is always great and they get busy at times, but it's always great. I have had several things on the menu, so let's discuss a few. I'll start out by saying this is definitely one of the best thai restaurants in town. The green curry is my favorite. The massaman curry is to die for, but they only serve it for dinner. I've also had the red, and the yellow, both great! Don't forget the Penang curry, also very good. They serve the curry a little on the mild side, but can supply you with a delicious HOT red pepper paste. My favorite soup served is the Tom Yum, probably the best I've had, and if your into thai iced coffee they have a good one. The next best thing about Siam is the price! They have low prices for the quality of the food! What else could possibly make this place any better? Oh I forgot to mention it is placed on the corner with beautiful views of downtown Daytona's water front. If your looking for a quick lunch spot this place is awesome, or if your looking for a nice dinner date spot, this will work for that too! read more

This is by far, the best place to eat Thai in all of Daytona. The food was exceptional, and the family-run atmosphere of the place really made me feel as if I was transported to the other side of the world. Their coconut milk ice cream is to die for (and this is coming from someone who eats lots of coconut milk ice cream). In terms of spice, there's food for everyone regardless of their capacity for spiciness. Ranging from none at all, to where your nose is running and your eyes are crying, and if you don't know your spiciness level, just ask, and they'll give you a spice rack to test yourself. (Tip though, don't go for the Thai Hot spiciness straight away if you've never been there before, you'll regret it. Regardless, this is an amazing restaurant and I'll know that I'll come back again. I have visited this place multiple times. So i decided to take some friends yesterday to try it out. Of course, the service was wonderful as always. Our waitress had some great recommendations based on what we told her we liked. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection and brought out in a timely manner. I hate Daytona Beach. I cannot believe for the life of me that every restaurant in this God forsaken city closes at 9 PM on a Friday night. We must have stopped at 5 restaurants to eat and they're ALL closed. Not only that, there's no respectable nightlife to speak of--only people hanging out by fake gas pumps on Main Street, that plain street (Sinatra parody). Digressing, Siam Spice was one of the few restaurants that remained open like a maverick past the annoying 9 PM deadline. Zen Bistro across the street was closed like a true follower. This restaurant did have a lovely ambiance. The food was pretty good, but nothing amazing. I did respect the fact that when I asked for spicy, I actually got spicy. I'm sick of going to Thai and Indian restaurants that assume that I can't handle the spice. If I say spicy I mean spicy dammit! The pad ped had a pretty good taste to it as did the gung pao. The prices were typical for what you'd get for a Thai restaurant at dinner time. In other words, this was a decent place, but nothing I intend to return to. In fact, I don't intend to return to Daytona Beach ever again at all. I need more substance in a city than flashy lights, saloons, and diners. read more

I love Thai food. I've eaten pretty much at every Thai restaurtant in town here. I have to say Siam Spice has the best noodles by far..I love veggies and noodles and most places simply don't know how to make simple delicious noodles..but finally I found a place. I also love their Peanut Sauce that I always have on the side. I prefer this restaurant then the one across the street..meaning there's room here and I like sitting by the window-the lunch is the best as for the prices..The curry dishes are excellent..The only thing I would suggest is the decor: they turned off the running water thing..and the carpet is all stained. Other than that, great service and probably my favorite in town. read more

Much like everyone else, I came upon this restaurant because Zen Bistro was closed.From the decor and atmosphere, it looks promising, but don't be fooled by the decorator. As a connoisseur of thai cuisine, this was very disappointing. The wait staff was very slow and inattentive We were never asked which level of spice we preferred, but rather had spices set on the table. Ordered steamed dumplings as a starter, they were tasteless and fell apart the second you touch them and served with an overly vinegary sauce that would come from a bottle. The boyfriend ordered the pad thai, a very easy thai dish. It was the only time I have ever seen him not finish, as he usually eats all of his and what's left of mine. I ordered Panang Chicken, also very simple dish. The chicken was cut rather large which made it impossible to eat with chop sticks. Very tasteless! And that night the boyfriend got really bad stomach problems. If you want really good Thai food, I highly suggest Zen Bistro! The atmosphere is lacking but the food is phenomenal and half the price. You can't beat that! And if the off chance Zen is closed, make the trip ti Thai Erwan in Ormond. (the second best thai in town) read more

First time at Siam spice. First Thai restaurant I've tried in Daytona. I appreciate that the ingredients were fresh and the food was well cooked and seasoned. It's not the best Thai food I've ever had but if I do you get a craving it will certainly work well. I had the pad Thai medium spice with shrimp and I also tried the Tom Kha Kai soup. My only complaint was that the service was slow and wasn't able to finish my lunch without getting it to go so I wouldn't be late going back to work. Overall I will definitely go back and try some additional items on their menu but will also try other Thai restaurants. read more

Have to agree with recent posts.....Was there on a slow week night and the service was just plain bad. Meals came without additional spices and after finishing the meal waited, while watching servers wrap silverware and clear other tables, for a check and leftover container. Ultimately, had to get up and ask. I felt generous with a 15% tip. At any rate, the food was pretty good but I'll likely be trying Zen Bistro next. read more

Worst service ever. Went in around 9, and they weren't busy, yet it took our waitress 10 minutes to get our drink order. We ordered everything at once, and when the food came out, the order was incorrect. When we told our waitress, she argued with us saying we ordered basil fried rice, when we ordered the basil entree with pork. She took it back and came out with basil chicken. I didn't bother to have her bring it back for a second time. When I asked for a box, she laughed at me. If you're going to talk shit about a customer you should make sure they don't understand what you're saying. read more

We had planned to go to another restaurant in Daytona Beach last night but found it was not open because it was Good Friday. Right across the street we found Siam Spice. It was a wonderful find. We both enjoy Thai food but I have to say this was the best we have ever found. It was cooked to order and included nothing but fresh ingredients. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and provided excellent recommendations. We shared spring rolls: I had mango curry with shrimp and my friend had mussels (from Australia) with basil and vegetables. The flavors were wonderful. The food is reasonably priced. There was no loud music. I think their costs go into the quality of the food and not the ambience as the restaurant is not a fancy place. Siam Spice is a hidden jewel. We visited Daytona Beach and grew weary of the disgusting overpriced boardwalk food. I love Thai and found this little gem. The yellow curry was perfectly seasoned and not over powering. The chicken satay was very good and not overcooked. The pad thai was awesome and the kids loved the spring rolls. Best Thai food in the area! Love the atmosphere and service is great. All of the employees are very fast and friendly. The Wonton soup is amazing, the broth tastes better than any other soup I've had . Their spring rolls were also very lightly crispy, and perfectly cooked. The best part of it all is their dessert! Their fried banana and coconut ice cream combination is sensational. Also, their Thai donuts were also delectable. They are made with homemade dough fried and lightly powdered with sugar. Not only is their food really good, but they also have decent priced cocktails made with sake.
