Wanted to try out a new Thai spot. Got the lad se ew with chicken. Chicken is an additional $1. Food was good just a little oily in comparison to what I've had. Service was really good. They were attentive but not annoyed. Also they able outdoor seating as well as a little covered out door seating. There was plenty of parking around (free and paid)

The food is so good. Pretty decor. It would be 5 stars if only servers knew serving etiquette. Like never reach over my food to retrieve a dirty napkin. Or how about not reaching over food, period. Server must of done this like 4x. Appreciate the effort, but taking away plate when the second I put the last fork in mouth was quirky esp since restaurant was half empty. And please dont stand beside table, when Im still looking at menu. Otherwise I would come back and maybe say something if it happens again.

Friends treated to a delicious tasty dinner for our belated birthday celebration, what a treat! Dinning area has lovely painted walls with cozy seating layout. Reservation is a must especially Friday and weekend, but Thursday dinner was packed also. I recommend making reservation. Serving staff are all smiling, cheery, helpful and very attentive. Food is very tasty and well seasoned, cooked, nice and hot when they are served! A definite recommend!

"Trying something new In the neighborhood Where you gonna go? Thai Social! If you're licking your lips 'Cause it tastes so good Who you gonna call? Thai Social!" Did that sound like the Ghostbusters song? We came in on Halloween night and the staff were dressed in costume, as were many customers. It was a packed house, but turnover was constant and the hostess was able to squeeze us in with no reservation. She said that we'd have to be done by 8pm, since she said there was a reserved party coming in. We said no problem, we'll order quick and eat even quicker. A lot of Thai restaurants have been popping up lately, but what makes Thai Social stand out is their menu that not only includes many standard dishes like Pad Thai & Pad Se Ew, but also the chef's special creations. For this first time, I wanted to try dishes that are not run-of-the-mill. We started with the Snow Mushrooms appetizer, which was a spring roll wrap around a cluster of beech mushrooms and deep fried. It was very tasty, especially with the sweet chili dipping sauce. There are 5 pieces meant for a larger group, so it was a little much for just the 2 of us, but no complaints because we were hungry. The Kai Toon Talay was up next with squid rings & shrimp on top of a steamed egg omelet in a spicy sauce simmering on top of an open flame. You need the Jasmine rice because it is a very rich and heavy dish. The Khao Soi Gai is a chicken leg in a similar spicy sauce on a bed of ramen noodles and topped with a cake of crunchy deep fried thin noodles. I wish it was all crunchy noodles because the ramen noodles were a little soggy. Even though the drumstick was pretty big, it was just one piece. A whole thigh/drumstick quarter would have been more generous. We finished our meal in the allotted time and can't wait to go back to try some of the standard dishes, as well as to explore the rest of the specials menu.

Thai Social has been on my list of places to go for a very long time. I've read rave reviews and seen great foodie photos, so I was excited to finally go! 5 of us met for a late Saturday lunch, and I honestly wasn't blown away. I've had much better Thai food elsewhere; especially in Elmhurst. These are the dishes we shared: -- Zabb Wings ($12/4pcs): these wings were great; albeit a little pricey for 4 little wings. -- Fried whole fish w.Mango Salad ($38): the fish was small and slightly overcooked but the mango salad was good. -- Short Rib Panang ($30): the tender beef short rib was pretty good but the sauce was a little weak. It was also served with sweet potatoe fries, which was a little strange, but tasty. -- Duck Curry ($29): the duck was a little dry/overcooked, and the sauce was very mild & watery; bordering on bland. Disappointing. -- Pad See Ew w.Chicken ($18): this was my fave dish. Had great wok hei & flavor. Very satisfying dish. -- Thai Iced Coffee ($5): I asked for it not too sweet, and this was very good. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Restaurant had nice ambiance. Street parking in the neighborhood wasn't too bad. I was able to park down the block. But make sure you read the parking rules.

Food was fine but service and the attentiveness was NOT good. They seated us right next to the bathroom when there were plenty of other seats available. (I think to make it look like there were a lot of people sitting from the windows outside) but why the hell am i sitting in front of the bathroom?? And then she was cleaning the table next door - the cleaning liquid went into my sister in law's mouth and her plate of food. We brought it up to the waitress and she blamed it on the fan .... R U SERIOUS Zabb wings: (1/10) 5 pieces of DRY WINGS with ramen packet seasoning. Curry puffs: (4/10) 3 pieces of DRY curry puffs... too little sauce Chicken pad thai (7.5/10): probably the best thing Soft shell crab with mango salad (5/10): its $30 and honestly a disappointment - 2 pieces of soft shell crab and some greens for $30 is criminal Beef short rib panang (5/10): way too little curry. It was barely coating the surface of the plate. Beef was good and tender but isnt this a curry?

We might have just found our new go-to spot for Thai food. We came here for lunch the other day and were very pleasantly surprised. Although it's a small restaurant, there were a good number of customers even during a late lunch, which is always a good sign. The decor in the back dining area is tasteful and not over the top, and the bar area, though small, looks welcoming. The staff were all smiling and incredibly friendly. As for the food, we ordered the papaya salad, curry puffs, shrimp pad se ew, green curry, and the beef garlic sauce lunch special, which came with chive pancakes and a salad. My wife asked for the papaya salad to be spicy, and wow--was it spicy. The heat lingered on my tongue long after. A pleasant surprise were the chive "pancakes"--and I say "pancakes" because they came in cube form. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and paired with an amazing soy dipping sauce. All the other dishes were delicious as well, packed with bold and present flavors. My only small critique would be that the pad se ew had a slight burnt taste, but it wasn't overwhelming. We're definitely coming back here again.

5 stars for the drinks and the food, which were all delicious. Was too full at the time of dinner to have the mango sticky rice dessert at the restaurant, but ordered one to go so I could have it back at home. Honestly glad I did - cause it was super delicious! Service could have been more welcoming and patient. The ambiance varies depending on where you sit within the restaurant. For a more cozy and intimate you want more towards the rear of the restaurant. Overall very casual.

Went to celebrate a birthday and unknowingly came in super close to closing time. Service was great and they even brought out a complementary dessert to celebrate. Food came out extremely fast and was well cooked Short rib was super tender and the sauce was sweet and nutty Pineapple fried rice was different and had curry powder it added a lot of depth to the rice Steamed fish was recommended over the fried and it was a great choice - the sauce was tangy similar to tom yum. the appetizers... amazing calamari was SO SO GOOD but the zabb wings take the crown... the wings were COATED with the spice which other places don't do. Overall 10/10 and will be back

The staff was very kind and helpful. Our waitress made some recommendations. She even offered to take our photo We loved everything we ordered. My husband and I came for a lunch date. He ordered a passion fruit frozen margarita and I ordered the Siam Sunset cocktail. Both were delicious. To start we had the crab and pork roll that came with a sweet sauce. We also had a stewed beef and sweet potato roti with massaman curry. Both were super fresh and flavorful. My softshell crab over mango salad was delightful. Lots of freshness and flavor. My husband ordered seafood noodles with Thai basil. It was a big portion and packed with fresh seafood. So delicious. I loved the decor too. They make the most out of a small space. I definitely want to come back for more.

I went here for lunch with my family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. First and foremost, many thanks to our waiter Tyler for being so patient and attentive (especially with my Mom's one too many questions). We all got the lunch special- I highly recommend the chive pancakes for the appetizer as they're quite chewy and tasty. For our mains, we got two different protein variations of the drunken noodles, pad thai, and the pineapple fried rice. Everything was tasty and the portions aforementioned in my prior review are very reasonable. I loved the generous amount of basil and cashews in the noodles and rice respectively as well. All in all, my parents are already planning their next visit to this place and I can't blame them- it is great.

Disclaimer: This is an order thru DoorDash I've never been inside the restaurant so I can't speak for service/ ambiance.. maybe one day I'll visit. So I ordered 3 things off their menu; basil fried rice w/ shrimp & their Thai wings with sweet chlli sauce & simply Thai iced tea for my drink. For starters The Food is very pricey but what isnt these days?. For those 3 items I paid $42. The rice was amazing tho super fresh; I received it piping hot & it had great flavor with just the right amount of spice loved it. Including the shrimp it was cooked to perfection. Now as for everything else it was just mid for me. I've even had better Thai iced tea & I loveeeee me a good Thai tea, but maybe bc my preference was for it to be sweeter. & usually I don't have to request that. I did not enjoy the wings like AT ALL. They were super bland, chewy & not even the sauce it came with could save it. Plus the portions for the food is small. Esp for the amount you pay for. But my food did come pretty quick & it was packaged well. Appreciate that. It Had tamper proof seal & tape over my drink & food was stapled in brown paper bags
