    chicken pad thai

DELICIOUS Thai food! I came to La Verne to visit a friend who just moved here and we walked to Siamese Restaurant since it was closeby. Upon entering, I was extremely skeptical at first. The interior looks like the makings of a super Americanized Asian food restaurant (and being from 626, I have high standards for Asian food). I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and it was delightful. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the seasoning was flavorful and sweet. There was ample toppings like peanut, cabbage, carrots that created variety in textures and flavors. They also have pickled jalapenos, garlic chili sauce, chili powders, etc to spice up your meal. I also tried my friends Tom Yum soup and it was very flavorful and yummy! The waitresses are very friendly and check in frequently. They'll refill your water and make sure everyone has everything they need. Most meal options are under $15 and the serving size is pretty good! I think Siamese Restaurant is a great local gem that offers good value meals. There is lots of free parking in the parking lot (in a plaza). There are relatively clean restrooms (one men's and one women's).

Chicken salad with what is supposed to be the dressing

I'm giving three starts because the food is hit or miss you just have to know what to get. Today I paid over $13 for a house salad with chicken and it had very little chicken and I could not pour the dressing as the peanut whatever it is is not liquid form.

Sweet and sour chicken, very light, crispy, delicious!

My Daughter recommended this little hidden gem ; from the moment you enter their restaurant you feel welcome and happy and peaceful. My Daughter loved her pad Thai and the sweet and sour chicken was clean and tasty, It reminded me of tempura chicken, light and flavorful and clean. Our bowl of vegetable soup was also delicious. I can't wait to return! Highly recommend Siamese Restaurant.

This restaurant has a very homey atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The garlic vegetable is so flavorful and packed with a good variety of veggies. I also recommend the chow mien and hot and sour hot pot. The beer is no joke the coldest I've ever had at a restaurant. I will be visiting again!

Wonton soup. Delicious broth, fresh vegetables, tasty wontons.

So happy we stumbled upon this little gem. Staff was friendly. Location was clean. They offer to go orders since we aren't able to dine in. The menu has plenty of options to choose from and they have some great lunch and all day specials. The special came with choice of entree, two egg rolls (very good), wonton soup (so tasty and hot), and your choice of entree. I was very happy with the cashew chicken that I got. My husband got the Pad Thai and that great as well. If you're in the area and are undecided what to eat, I would highly recommend stopping here and giving them a try.

This is the lunch special. Chicken Chow Mein, fried rice and iceberg salad with dressing.

Great beef pad-see-ew! Thai tea is always fresh. Everyone is always very nice when we come in. The portion size is generous.

Never had Thai food before. What would you recommend for first time visit?

A few of my co workers enjoy ginger fish, I'm not a sea food lover so I tend to get pad Thai, chicken bell pepper, spicy noodle, beef and broccoli! I've never ordered anything I didn't like.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of side salads, but I actually enjoyed this one, and the dressing was surprisingly good! As for the Pad Thai itself, the plate was Huge!! lol I tried to get through as much as I could, but eventually I had to tap out and take the remaining half to go. Overall, I really enjoyed the flavor and would definitely order it again! I also tried a bite of the Pad Kee Mao that one of my friends ordered, and honestly, if I come back again, I think I might get that for myself next time. To end it all, we ordered the SweetSticky Rice Mango. I absolutely loved how warm and chewy the rice was, so sweet and delicious!! It's always such a delight when it's in season!

From the moment I walked in and she gestured at the tables, I'm guessing to tell me where to sit. There was one family there, then I came in and got a menu (no greeting, no hello). After I had been there for about ten minutes, another couple came in. They were greeted with a friendly hello, and asked which booth they wanted. She gave them menus and came right back and asked if they wanted something to drink (still not a word to me). Then she took their order, at which point I objected because I had been sitting there awhile. She said something like "Oh, you're ready to order?" The food was great, but the service was the worst I've ever had at any establishment.

The best thing is their tom kha soup, soooo flavorful and filled with lots of chicken and mushrooms, highly recommend. Another great item were their fried chicken wings, very good and crispy and the sauce they give is super tasty. Their pad see ew was also very good, packed with beef and moist. The trout (kinda pricey depending on the seasonal price it was $23) was good as well, the lightness and freshness of their vegetable pickled slaw really cut thru their super crispy oiled fish. The duck was good, but it was super gamey, more than I'd like, the spinach was sautéed nicely tho. The chicken larb was our least favorite, it was way too sweet and just tasted like batter to me, the flavor was just off, we didn't even take home the leftovers. Their Thai coffee was hella sweet, like super sweet, Idk if I would get that again. Their mango sticky rice was $14 and honestly it was just ok, I've had better. Overall the service was quick, the place is clean overall, it does get crowded bc I can see why, the prices are reasonable and there is a lot of options of food. We would come back if we are in the area. Oh and ps just so u know parking is horrible, if u park on a wrong area u will get towed. They warn you multiple times to be careful where u park. It's just not a big enough lot, especially for how popular the place is. So be prepared to fight for a parking spot

She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
