I have been using this shop since 1998my whole family has, I took my suburban in in 12/2014 . They're under new name new owner, but the guys in the shop are the same guys. They did some work on my hood in 2014 and the paint cracked bad, I called and they tried telling me that because they're have a new name they can't do anything because they're not responsible for the previous owners work, but it wasn't Ron working on my car it was the poor prep done on the work by the same guys that are still there. They said I would have to file a new claim with my insurance-like why you guys should back up your shops poor quality prep work. read more

I was a customer at Sichels for years. I never had this happened to me before. Today I was giving a friend a right back to work from Sichel's. I got there early, while I was waiting, a nice young lady was with a customer, but she weaved Hello. We exchange a smile. An older man came out and took over with that customer, both notice me sitting in my truck. They went behind my truck. Before I knew it. Both of them was on the back, the guy was on the gas tank, and just chatting away. I opened my door, and was looked up at them. Before I could say anything. The customer said to me; are we bothering you? I said yes! it's my truck you both are on without asking! I don't want to to fall off. They both hopped down without saying a word to me and walked away. I said to them. How Rude!!! They both just acted like I was invisible... * QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP: 5 of 5 stars * CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE: 5 of 5 stars * COST AND VALUE: 5 of 5 stars * OVERALL: 5 of 5 stars A local car wash (Mission Car Wash, Santa Rosa, CA) put a large, loopy scratch on the driver-side front door of my new, shiny black Acura. After two unsuccessful attempts to buff out the scratch on site, the manager--to his credit--offered to pay for repairs and suggested I get estimates from detail shops. I visited Auto Sport Detailing (Santa Rosa, CA), but they wouldn't touch the scratch out of concern they might burn through the clear coat. They referred me to EuroCal Auto Body (Santa Rosa, CA). While I was very pleased with the customer service and confident they could do a great job, EuroCal's proposed course of action--removing, repainting, and reapplying clear coat to the door and adjacent panels--was a bit daunting, and the car wash manager balked at the estimate. At that point, a friend recommended I get a repair estimate from Sichel's. Eddie Serrano thoroughly examined the damage and patiently addressed all of my questions and concerns (and by then I had many--a $31 car wash was rapidly turning into a four-figure repair fiasco). He was confident that a less invasive approach--color-sand and blend-polish the door and adjacent panels--would be just as effective and significantly less expensive than what EuroCal proposed. While inspecting the scratch damage, I also pointed out that the Acura dealer had improperly installed the side door moldings such that the rear doors, when opened, were catching on the moldings of the fronts, and that the passenger-side rear door molding was starting to come loose. This is clearly something I could have the dealer repair at no cost to me...if they weren't ~600 miles away in San Diego. So I asked Eddie what it would cost for him to reposition them. He replied that it would take about two hours' labor (or about $185) to do all four, but that I should make the dealer fix their mistake when I had the opportunity. As a interim measure, he offered to reaffix the molding that was starting to come off, free of charge. The manager at the car wash approved Sichel's estimate (which was 35% less than EuroCal's) and paid them directly--not a dime came out of my pocket. The car was in the shop for about a day. When Eddie called this morning to let me know it was ready for pickup, he said he "had good news and bad news". The good news was that 1) the scratch was gone, 2) he decided to reposition all four moldings free of charge, 3) they hand-washed and waxed the entire car. The "bad news" was a body shop joke, as there was none :-) When I arrived to pick up the car, Eddie thoroughly reviewed what they did. I couldn't have been more pleased. The scratch is completely gone and the appearance of the sanded/polished panels is indistinguishable from the rest of the car, right down to the slight "orange peel" texture of a showroom finish. The scratch repair workmanship and excellent customer service alone would merit a 5-star review in my book, but Sichel's went far above and beyond: They didn't try to sell me anything more than I absolutely needed, they spared me weeks of frustration with catching rear doors by fixing the moldings for free, and they hand-washed and waxed the entire car (not just the repair area), also for free. It looks as good as it did when I drove it off the lot in April. Eddie even told me exactly how and what he uses to maintain the exterior of his cars, and where I can get the supplies at or near the prices he pays. Over the past four years, my 2008 Honda had collected a number of battle scars--either from people who scratched it in parking lots or the underside of the front area that scrapes the road if I don't remember to approach a driveway incline at a snail's pace. In any case, enough damage had been done that I decided it was time for a face lift, so I took my car to Sichel's. I am so glad I did! From the moment of arrival, the service was friendly, professional and helpful. I didn't feel like I was getting the bum's rush toward a high price. This mattered, since I was paying for this work out of pocket. When I got the car back, it was done as promised at the price I was promised. But it gets better. They did more work than they promised, fixing some stuff for free and buffing out some scratches that weren't part of the original deal. The best part was the quality. My four-year-old car looks brand new! The color matching was expertly done, and the detailing was superb. It hasn't been that clean since I bought it! They did again.... I had a FedEx truck hit my driver side door while driving on 580 in Oakland The truck peeled the metal back on door of my Blacke BMW - like a sardine can. Seriously. Took it to Sichel's and dropped it off. They hooked me up with a rental car - right then and there. Got a call 2 weeks later for pick up. When I arrive the car was in pristine condition. Being a woman, it is always concerning when I have to get repairs done on my car. Finding a trustworthy shop is the most important thing. Unfortunately, this was not my experience with Sichels. Their price for repairing my car after an accident was 20% higher than others and after I chose not to have it repaired by then, they charged me 300 for "storage" and it was presented as a great deal as their normal storage cost is 150 per day. Additionally, it was difficult to get direct answers to direct questions from the shop manager. They did refer me to a good shop for mechanical repairs, however there must have been a kickback for them as their shop manager told me the mechanical shop would do the diagnostic free as I was being sent by Sichels. My poor vehicle was victim to someone carlessly backing into the passenger side door. I was stuck in stop and go traffic on that stretch of freeway between Novato and Petaluma when a young motorcyclist slammed into the back of me going about 40 mph and went sailing through the air. Thankfully he ended up being ok, but he did some damage to my car to say the least. It was seriously the last thing I wanted to deal with. I went home and immediately looked on Yelp to see what was around and I found Sichel's. Although they are not the closest autobody shop to where I live, I figured a good job is worth any drive. I'm so glad I came here. My car is only 2 years old, but it truly looks better than the day I bought it. My insurance company called and the woman who did the estimate said that she thought I chose a great place and based on her experience (which is a lot) these guys knew what they were doing, and no, they were not on my insurance companies "recommendation" list. Their communication was excellent. I always knew what stage my car was progressing through and what I should expect next. I never felt out of the loop. My car is the most expensive possession I own and they made me feel totally safe and secure handing her over to them...yes, it's a she. When the day came to get her back she had been amazingly detailed as well, which was an added perk that I wasn't expecting. As anyone with a black car knows, when it's cleaned and detailed, it looks like a million bucks. As much as I hope I don't have to come back to Sichel's anytime soon because of another accident, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again and will recommend them to everyone I know. Not only were the gentlemen, Ron and Michael, at Sichel's Auto Body, friendly and helpful, but the body work they did on my Subaru was excellent - it looks perfect! The service was better than I could ever imagined: the paper work was easy as they dealt very well with the insurance company, I was able to drop off my rental car at the body shop (no fuss), my car was cleaned inside and out (even the tires) with the fluid levels checked, made sure the paint was matched up identically (two tones) and even seemed to make my bent up license plate holder look much better! I have now had to go to Sichel's four times, and will keep coming back because of the superb customer service and the excellent care that my vehicles receive. Phone calls are answered or returned promptly, they bend over backwards to accommodate your schedule, and when they say they are going to have your car done they have your car done. I have never once had my insurance and Sichel's not get along, which is something people can take for granted during a hectic time like not having a vehicle due to a car accident. Every time I have gotten my car back it has been as clean or cleaner than when I dropped it off on the inside, and the outside is always perfect. Color matching is dead on, parts are always excellent, and I have never once had to take my vehicle back to have something redone. Overall this is my go-to auto body shop for years now, and I plan on coming back as long as I can. read more

In February 2019 I took my 2014 Prius to Sichel's Auto Body for a front mudguard repair (undercarriage behind the front bumper) for which I paid out-of-pocket (my fault for paying too much before shopping around) and I supplied the mudguard and hardware. When the repair was done they had a detailer detail my car. It WAS really clean but apparently the driver's side passenger door was ajar when the detailer was backing it out of the wash rack. S/he ran into a metal post contacting the door on the inside edge and hyperextending it. The door hinges were subsequently sprung, the door under the rear of the window was crushed, the inside decorative panel was crushed by the window, and a dent was left in the door face by the latching mechanism, among other obvious tweaks. Of course Gary was horrified that it had happened and assured me that they would fix it. Rather than leaving my auto at the shop for the whole weekend, I took possession of it with the plan to return the next week. In the meantime I decided to find out what exactly SHOULD be done to fix it. It seemed obvious to me that the door would need replacing but I took my car to 4 other local shops wherein all of the estimators, without prompting, said my door was not repairable and that I needed a new (salvaged, undamaged) door, along with: painting all three panels to blend the color, replacing all the weather guards, running Toyota-mandated diagnostics, and replacing all the hinges, among many other details, to the tune of close to $5000. I decided to file the accident with my insurance company, against the stated wishes of Gary at Sichel's, thinking that they really didn't have much incentive to do the "right" thing. During negotiations, Sichel's told my company that I had 'signed a contract' with them (Sichel's) agreeing that they would have first chance at repairing any damage that may be done to my car while in their shop for the unrelated job. Figuring they had me over a barrel for the repair I asked Gary how he intended to fix my door. He said they would 'pull the dent', replace the top hinge, and get a vinyl repair guy in to fix the inside panel. Thankfully for me, I had met a very professional man at one of the other shops who, after hearing what was going on with Sichel's, made a few calls to my insurance company on my behalf. The company realized that California law does not support the whole 'under contract' for repairs caused by Sichel's and I was issued a claim number. I will be taking my fubar'd door to another shop for the correct "fix"--not band-aids and bondo. I suggest you do the same. read more

Found them based on Yelp - and they lived up to their recommendations 100% Worked with Mike the GM and he was very accommodating. It was a small fender bender where someone hit me, but didn't want to go over the limit that would raise their insurance rates. So Mike worked w. the guy so that he kept his insurance premium down and let him pay the (small)difference out of pocket. They did excellent work on my bumper, and not only detailed my car in and out, but buffed out a few spots unrelated to the incident and helped me with a problem I had w. a rubber mount on my trunk -giving me free double sided tape, razor and special chemical treated wipe and showed me how to do it-all free! I have never written a review but felt compelled to do so after my experience with Ron at Sichel's Autobody. My old, trusty car was in an an accident and sustained extensive body damage. Ron worked with me and went above and beyond not only to understand the extent of the damage, but also to give me honest and straightforward advice. He could have taken my money but he felt that it was in my best interest to scrap the car. He spent quite a bit of time with me on multiple phone calls and while I am very sad to see the car go, I am incredibly grateful to Ron for his help. I came to Sichel's Auto Body for work on my 350Z. My neighbor had backed into my car, and the bumper was damaged, and a headlight cracked. Mike was very courteous and polite, even though we came by almost at close. He continued to be friendly and helpful, even while we stopped by almost daily to check on things, and even after we asked for additional work on side projects. The rest of their staff was also helpful, and nobody seemed to mind our constant presence. Mike was able to work with the insurance company to get me the best deal that he could. Initially the insurance company wanted to total the vehicle but as we had just purchased it after a lengthy search I didn't want to have to find another one. Mike heard my concerns and worked with the insurance company and appraiser to make it all work out for us. Even when additional damage was found he fought hard to make us happy. I know in the end they didn't make a lot of money off this job because of all the time they put in but they still went ahead and did a couple of minor quick fixes that weren't even related to the accident. My experience with Sichel's Autobody was very pleasant. The whole passenger side of my Honda Accord was damaged and they made it look as good as new. Gary and Ron were very approachable and reassuring from our very first interaction and all the way through the process. I recieved regular updates about the progress of my car and they stayed on schedule. They were very thorough with their inspections before allowing the car back on the road. When I arrived for pick up, Ron even walked out with me to my vehicle and explained again what they did and gave me some suggestions on how to keep the paint looking good. A little bit of a different need -- my kayak, a very lightweight composite was dropped (by me) with extensive spiderweb cracks in the gelcoat. I called multiple places, including one in East Bay and either no one could do it, or they had poor advice. We were rear ended at a stoplight and the impact drove the car forward into a small truck. Needless to say, the car was damaged at both ends! We took it to Sichel's Autobody upon a personal recommendation for the repair. Michael did all the work for us dealing with the insurance company of the person who ran into us, getting them to approve all expenses and the use of original equipment replacement parts.
