Came in on a Monday after one of the other bars nearby closed up. It's nice that Side Street is an option to go late, as we weren't done with the night. Big shoutout to the bartender that was working, I wish I got his name, but he was the friendliest most warmest bartender I've ever had so far in my young life. For drinks, I tried my first mai tai while my friend got the cat's pajamas. The drinks were just okay taste-wise, but good prices. This wouldn't be my first stop for drinks, but I think Side Street is good for meeting up with friends over food and drinks. Very casual setting.

Great place to take a dog. Always so welcoming to fur friends and a consistently good selection of beers. Some good summer slushies too. Pizza is surprisingly delicious, the bartenders have given our pup some treats which I love and it has big glass windows to enjoy some sun inside. Great neighborhood spot.

The best pizza I've ever had that's this type, I think it's almost like a Detroit's style. The hot honey add on was great. Two drinks and a pizza was only 36$. To think I almost missed this place as it didn't seem that cool from the outside. Friendly service and. Clean bathrooms.

Left The Nest, for here. Drinks are great here. Food? Forget it. I wanted a greek plate, and a pizza. It's not even midnight, and legally, they have to serve food. But to be told it's going to take 30-an HOUR for them to slap olives together, with hummus, what? Then, to be told there's a good pizza place down the street (taking business from them), I'm confused. Yes, it's a Friday night. No, this place is not crowded. The bar is not swamped (the register is actually broken atm). Yelp, you're letting me down.

Owner is and staff are great people. Bought owners car and ended up restoring it. Took it to him to show him the finished product and he was excited to see it in its condition. (see pic) Ended up staying to get a pizza and beer for lunch. Was surprised that their pizza was so good and fresh ingredients. Crush was a good crunchy which I love topped with pepperoni, sausage and Jalapeño's. All was cooked to perfection. Was a good size to split with my father and for a cheap price. Had an IPA. They have a pretty big selection on tap of local selected beers. Even some I haven't heard of which is always great. Atmosphere is a cool little spot to chill and grab a beer anytime of the day or on the weekend when out with the friends.

I really liked this place but their beer pours are horrible. Not only do I often get a "pint" full of head but they use cheater pint glasses. Not cool. That said, they have a great beer selection and they play blazer games on a single silent tv above the bar.Great for a closeted sports fan like myself. Also their jukebox is excellent. But seriously, get some real pint glasses. Really disappointed by this. It's dishonest and disrespectful of your customers.

A pretty nice comfortable bar. Tots are pretty enjoyable and a good tap list. One of my favorite bars in the belmont and 34th area.

The kid space was a great size and my two small ones loved being able to play while we ate. I loved that they had some great open ended toys and I didn't need to worry about them disturbing our neighbors. Our server, Emma, was great! She was attentive and quick. She even made our kids chocolate milk even though it's not on the menu. Our food was amazing. We had the kids butter noodles (I'd order that for my adult meal if I could!), kids cheeseburger, deviled eggs, caprese with prosciutto, and fish and chips. The fish was so good and big! Definitely enjoyed our experience here!

At 4:35 the appetizer showed up as I finished my second beer, moments before my parking ran out. Nobody communicated with me about the delay. I was ignored by staff the entire time. Most restaurants target 10-15 minutes for apps - this was 40 minutes, and the restaurant was not packed. Other patrons who ordered after me successfully received their food. They said the app was comped, but after I said I had to leave, the app never even made it to my seat. I left Deschutes hungry and disappointed.

It is genuinely cozy in a way that's hard to fake The reading rooms are such a great touch. Having tucked away spaces lined with books to actually sit and read, talk, or hang out in is so rare in a bar setting. It makes it feel more like a community space than just another tap house. At the same time, it works really well for large groups, we've rolled in deep before and never had an issue finding room to spread out. The beer selection is excellent. Thoughtful and rotating enough to keep things interesting without being overwhelming. Whether you want something hoppy, something dark, or something easy drinking, they've got you. And the left wing vibe is the cherry on top. It's refreshing to spend time in a space that wears its politics on its sleeve, pro-labor, pro-community, unapologetically itself. It feels like a place built for the people who actually live in the neighborhood.

Outstanding! This space suits so many purposes: studying, catching up over a drink, planning/researching, etc. There's even a conference room with seating for 11 that you can reserve. You can play board games here if no one's home is big enough for your group (their website says they no longer book the conference room for board games, but you can game there if it's not reserved). There's a few games in the upstairs green room closet. On a Sunday afternoon, there were plenty of spots open, but it is not dead either. Theres a variety of seating to suit all body types and preferences. First floor is wheelchair accessible. The upstairs bathroom has ducks on the ceiling so that's worth a visit alone. The blueberry rooibos iced tea is delicious and you add your own sweetener at the drink station. It literally feels like hanging out at a friend's house. Worth popping in if you haven't been. You can check the current drink selection on their website. You order in the entryway and then carry your items to your seat. Bus your dishes back to the entryway when you leave.

You can absolutely smell the fish and vinegar as soon as you walk through the door, which I think gives the place a very homey pub feel. I ordered a spiked peach Arnold Palmer, which I enjoyed (and it was pleasantly strong) and a glass of the house white, which was good for the price. Our server was very fast and attentive. To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this place as a refuge during the cold winter months!
