Cool little dive bar on the island. Only a few tables inside and out and a small bar. We just stopped for a drink one night. The vibes are cool inside with all kinds of stickers on the wall. Overall worth a stop if you are in town.

We thought woodys was the best food we had on the island! And for the best price too! What a cool spot! Had the best curly fries and calamari! Def better than longboards !

A small hole in the wall with great appetizers to start our day! We had shark bites which were flavorful and tender. We also had two Crabcake sliders (we took off the pickle), in our opinion those aren't meant to be eaten with pickles. The Crabcake sliders were decent, it could have used more sauce and a bit bigger. See pictures. Our server was attentive and friendly.

We tried fish and chips (which was wahoo fish the day we tried it), Mahi fish taco, double decker shrimp taco, and the shrimp platter. We got straight and curly fries which were both great. We also got shark bites as an appetizer. The food was great and we had no complaints! Quick, yummy, very chill spot. Parking is more challenging but that isn't unusual and we found a spot. Service was fine as well!

Even if it's just for a beer or two, you have to go to Woody's. It's an experience. As one waitress put it, "We're a five-star dive bar!" That sums it up. The walls are covered with stickers and notes from past patrons, and the wait staff practically dances from table to table. Everyone seems happy at Woody's. We went in (12/29/23) for just a beer and some onion rings/tater tots. The rings and tots were perfectly done, and the portions were HUGE! While we were there, a guy came in and bought a round of pricey tequila shots for the house. When he found out my wife grew up in the same town as he did back in the States, he bought her another round, then left with a group of friends to go to some other bar. Later, as we were preparing to leave, he returned, and bought ANOTHER round for the house! I don't know if stuff like that always happens at Woody's, but I'd go back just for the rings, tots, and beer. Great place, don't miss it!

Came here off of a recommendation from a former local! The food was absolutely amazing. I got the fish & chips, friend got the beef taco we loved both. The waiter wasn't super friendly but we know not everyday is a good day and that we gave tourist vibes.

Great lunch today at Woody's. Ventured out from our resort and glad we did. My picky 7 year old immediately honed in on the "shark bites". I was only too happy to indulge him to see if he'd eat the blackened mahi mahi nuggets. In fact, he ate half the basket in addition to two chicken tacos. The fried mahi mahi on the fish and chips was great too, and the beer bartered shrimp were huge and delicious. My side salad was super fresh and not boring. Friendly service...the gal apologized for our wait but we were in no hurry so all good. I'd go back, but with kids I think I'd stick with lunchtime.

Got here when it open at 11AM. We just couldn't wait to try this spot after reading all the reviews. We walked by this place a few times and finally wiling to try it. We came hungry and thirsty . We ordered the shark bites , peel and eat shrimp , mahi sandwich with tater tots, the double decker mahi tacos along with the spicy margarita . Everything was delicious and well flavored. Even the margaritas was Spicy enough. The bartender/waitress was amazing and she was great to us. What a great place for great food that doesn't break your wallet.

Stopped in after landing on St. John & had fried conch, conch fritters & a crab cake slider along w/ rum punch. Awesome food, great service & a very cool atmosphere. We will be back.

I really like this place! If you likes holes in the wall, THIS is the place for you! My buddy and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. The music was good. We got a seat at the bar. Outdoor seating is available. They also serve food and seafood. We got the seafood platter. The shrimp and blackened mahi was pretty awesome and restaurant quality The fried conch and onion rings were really greasy bar food type fare. Damia, our bartender, really made the whole place shine. She was the bartender and server and welcome party. We were greeted immediately with a smile and a menu. I ordered a bushwhacker (blended alcoholic chocolate milkshake type drink). She asked if I liked peanut butter, which I did. She ended up making a custom peanut-butter bushwhacker with the rim of the cup smeared with PB. OMG. Soo good. I ordered two. It was very good. They had local beers and mainstream beers. It's a tiny place but played great music!

A happy place. We were here on both visits to the island, 2 days apart. Loud singalong music, happy hour drinks, and good food. It's tiny but we were here early enough to grab a table inside. The servers are friendly. The blackened mahi mahi is really good, the shrimp salad is spicy, and the side salads tasted great too. Happy hour starts at 3.

Great little bar for a local beer and a quick bite to eat. Funky atmosphere and great guys working the bar. The conch fritters were delish and the burger was cooked perfectly.

We've never been disappointed -- the food is always on point, and the service is always welcoming. Even though the restaurant isn't right on the beach, it absolutely has the vibe. It's comfortable and inviting -- the perfect stop after a day in the sun for happy hour and light bites or a relaxed dinner in a laid-back island setting.

Having said that, it's a beach bar vibe like most places. Open-air seating, no AC, and beach club motif. In this case, it's a one-page menu of food and drinks, serving ceviche, sushi wraps, and poke bowls...that's it. Some appetizers, but that's the menu as you'll see in pics. We ordered an F-bomb frozen drink that was COMPLETELY refreshing on a warm day. Happy hour is early 2:00-4:00, so know that if going for dinner. For entrees, I got a Tropical Poke bowl with tuna (they also offer two other kinds of fish). It was chock-full of pineapple, pickled onions, sushi rice, and other goodies. In other words, a typical fresh poke bowl. Our other entree was a jerk chicken lettuce wrap with chili flakes that was really good and deceptively filling. At the end of the day, this was a great meal and atmosphere, and we would return if we have exhausted all options in Cruz Bay.

Candidly, nothing on the dinner menu blew our minds. The tuna sandwich with wasabi and arugula was fantastic, and the tuna was prepared perfectly! We also got shrimp tacos that were better than the sandwich for what it's worth. Our server, who didn't give us her name, was sweet and attentive and even brought a cask of water without us asking. At the end of the day, High Tide delivered as advertised. Three last thoughts if you've read this far: Park at the MVD and walk; it's not that far and free.
