She's recently discovered how good birria is. She has, for the longest time, only orders Chicken Quesadilla. I am talking many years. It was nice to see she has expanded her palate. Her mom is a big enchilada fan and that is what she ordered. One cheese and one chicken with rice and beans. I mean come on, it's fast food. You're not really doing a service to a community complaining about a $5 meal. Anyways I digress. There's a car in front of me, they got their food in two or three minutes. I walked up to the drive-thru and a nice kid there asked me if he could help me. I told him "sorry, I forgot my car at home" and he sat there for a second and kind of chuckled then I told him about usually not getting served in the Drive-Thru. He told me "yeah, I'm not going to NOT serve somebody their food, if they don't have a car! Our door is locked because we're short-staffed." What a guy! That tells me right there, that he values his job, and customers that come through. Good on him! My food was actually ready right when I got to the window which was nice. I ordered a double Whopper low carb, heavy all, and got exactly what I was expecting. Great job sir, and the rest of the staff in the back. This Burger King is actually really good. The Jack in the Box classic patty melt sourdough sandwich I ordered (because of the fond memories from my favorite high school Hangout in SoCal) had a thin, well done hamburger patty that didn't come close to reaching the edges of the bread. Though the sign prominently displayed For the kitchen crew to remind them "Internal temperature of hamburger patties is 185 degrees" there is no way the patty on my sandwich was anything hotter than 80. The slices of sourdough grilled in butter like on a classic grilled cheese sandwich was missing any oil or butter or bacon grease when it got toasted-- No butter on the grilled bread-- just a slice of thin barely warmed and toasted bread laid on a flat grill for a moment or two to get warm. Cheese slice wasn't even melted. Don't let the photos all around of their food deceive you!! Food inside this place that needs to be retired is nothing like it should be!
