I have eaten here before, and had a good experience. Unfortunately that was not the case in late April . We arrived for lunch and all of the tables in the main section downstairs were occupied. My friend has orthopedic issues and there was only 1 chair for her to sit in. I sat in the stairs. Once a table was vacated, we expected to be seated, but the hostess said she had paged another group to come back to the restaurant. We'll, they never did return, but she refused to seat us until maybe 10 minutes had passed. Our server Kyle was fabulous. I ordered a sandwich with a side of Caesar salad. Both were tasty. But within 5 minutes of leaving the restaurant I was looking for a bathroom. A week later I am still periodically experiencing Montuzuma's revenge. My suspicion is that the romaine lettuce was not washed before serving, or that it was contaminated with something. read more

Dined here while visiting Falmouth. This was a very elegant romantic restaurant. They have a nice selection of wine. Our hostess and server were very nice. My wife ordered the butternut squash tortellacci and I had the bourbon-rosemary grilled steak tips. We both enjoyed our meals. Would definitely go back if we visit. read more

This is my 1st time in Cape Cod. I imagine this restaurant to have amazing food with great service, but I was wrong. The service was TERRIBLE and the food was even WORSE. I order a BBQ Chicken pizza which tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. I requested for lemon 3 times for my water and she brought over old, slimy, bruised lemons. Overall, my family and I were VERY disgusted and disappointed with this establishment. To top it off, my pizza was wrapped to go for me in foil and a grocery bag, so much for $$ service. If you're considering this place, I'd recommend McDonald's over this place. read more

My first experience with Siena was in Providence, RI during Restaurant Week and it was a excellent. I was surprised to find they had multiple locations so my impression of this place was wow. The size of this place appears bigger than their Providence location and much brighter lit. Location in Mashpee commons was not short of brilliant and they're located right next to a movie theater so I'm sure they get plenty of business from there as well. On to the food. Came here with my girlfriend and her parents and we all ordered a dish each and had a family style dinner. I ordered the Manager's Special Pizza and it blew me away with how delicious it was. Though it was quite greasy, I definitely tasted the quality of it versus a Domino's. Though the pizza was amazing, it was not the number 1 dish. That spot is held by Ricotta and Portobella Stuffed Ravioli. Nice, delicious blend of savory and sweet. The third place dish was the Stuffed Italian Meatloaf. It's the way a top notch meatloaf should taste like. I didn't care for the mash but the broccoli was nicely seasoned. Unfortunately the bottom dish was the Mushroom Pappardelle Boscaiola. I wanted to love this dish. The noodles were excellent and I love mushrooms. However all of us couldn't get used to this sour taste of the mushrooms which was sharp enough to overpower the rest of the dish. Quite unfortunate... Overall, still 3 out of 4 excellent dishes, this place is top notch and a place I will associate with quality food that matches the price. read more

I'm not sure where to begin from the excellent waiter service to the awesome food! What I loved was how fluffy and soft the bread is with their pepper flakes in Olive oil made it different from other restaurants. For a starter my bf and I had the Mediterranean salad which was good. The food here is EXCELLENT. I had the cod fillet and shared a Vegetable pizza. The cod was great, but even more amazing was the sides of root vegetable hash and Brussels sprouts. I rarely write negative reviews because I'm a long time restaurant worker and I understand accidents happen but we got the worst take out of the summer from Siena. The chicken Marsala was sour and the pasta was so over cooked it was mush. We got a kids pasta with Alfredo that was bland and barely had sauce on it. And I ordered bolognese with a pasta substitute of broccoli. When I got home I realized I was given pasta. Luckily I'm not gluten free so I could still eat it but it too was bland. All that for $70+. I used to love it here but had a very disappointing dinner experience last night. My husband and I ate inside by the window. There were flies everywhere next to us. The waitress said "oh this happens every summer" but unfortunately couldn't move us because the restaurant was swamped and overwhelmed. Dirty tables and carpet were surrounding us. The food wasn't good - the veal was chewy. I'm assuming this place is struggling with staffing, like so many other places on the Cape. Maybe the experience would have been better outside, but the inside was gross. Will not be going back here any time soon. read more

Terrible food. Had a party of 8 people and when the food came they forgot one dish. The waitress kept coming back saying "oh just one more minute" and then the manager came and said "there was a mix up in the kitchen it'll be a couple more minutes" by the time the plate got there everyone was done eating their meals. I went to this restaurant with a rather large party, eight adults and four children. The service was faultless, and the dining room was large, open, and had a very lively atmosphere. The decor was subdued and created a comfortable environment. The food was worth the not insubstantial price. The homemade gnocchi were enormous and delicious, and the steak, especially the filet, was tender and flavorful. Perhaps the best remark I can make is that this is what the Olive Garden would like to be when it wins the lottery. This is genuinely a fun, friendly, and modern Italian restaurant with an upscale, trendy feel to it that delivers on the promise of very good dining. I ahould note that I do not agree with how Yelp categorizes Siena regarding children. This IS a great place to bring kids, though I would recommend bringing them earlier in the evening. I got the impression that the later it gets, the more prominent the bar scene becomes; bear in mind though that this is complete conjecture on my part. I can certainly attest to how welcoming they were to our somewhat raucous party. If you're looking for a place on the Cape where you won't feel ripped off with high prices and mediocre food, try Siena. You won't be disappointed. read more

I don't see why this restaurant doesn't have higher reviews. Probably because the blue haired patrons are too senile and blind to figure out how to write a yelp review. Any who, I'm gay for Siena. I really do love it. If you don't, you suck. End of story. I have been here many times. For lunch, dinner, take out, just pizza, just a bottle of wine or ....two......Every time has been amazing. There are not many decently classy/genuinely nice eating and drinking establishments here on Cape Cod. I realize that it is a tad bit expensive, but well worth it. And compared to any decent place in Boston or off Cape, it really is reasonable. Also, if you split a pizza and maybe a salad, its cheaper than your typical 99 or Bobby Byrnes meal. Think people! Be inventive! The staff has always been nothing but friendly and accommodating. Last night, the bartender even filled my carafe of "Super Tuscan" vino far greater than just two glasses. We often go here for dinner and sit near the bar area. We've never made reservations and not sure if you have to. The atmosphere is a tuscan feel. There are two floors and feels almost grand when walking in. The wait staff are always so tentative and helpful and knowledgeable about every dish. Speaking of dishes... The Garlicky PEI mussels have a fresh and zingy taste to them. If you love garlic, try these. We've also had the crispy calamari...a little on the hot spicy side but fresh and tender. Their sauces have a fresh taste to them. I could go on naming the dishes and telling you how they are but honestly, I've never been disappointed with anything there. read more

I just visited the cape for the first time and will be returning regularly for work. The lobster ravioli was so good, I'll probably end up making a habit of getting it at least once a trip. The wine was good too. The only things I'll avoid next time will be the bread (very tough) and the caesar (fishy and unflavorful). Thanks to a fellow yelper I was able to remember that yes, Siena IS the place in Mashpee Commons where my husband (then fiance) and I had a fabiulous lobter roll (in an Italian restaurant of all places). I was sad to see the poor experience that Erin L. had. We were treated well and had a delicious lunch here on a sunyy September day. I had a pasta dish. (Can't remember what - but it was good.) But the biggest surprise was the $17.00 (ouch) lobster roll. (We are used to paying $11 or $12 at Captain Frosty's - which of course, is a shack and has no atmosphere - but they have a rockin' roll!). The lobster roll was teaming with big meaty lobster chunks. Not at all gloopy nor gloppy - just lighly mayo'ed and herbed. Just terrific! We will return - especially if (like in 2006) we are shopping in the Commons and get hungry. read more

For some reason, no matter what I'm in the mood for when I walk in, when I'm led to our table and see a pizza on a nearby table, I always consider ordering one. The smell follows you, and they always look like they've been made with the freshest ingredients. Have I mentioned the smell? During my last visit, I ordered the kale, sausage and farfalle and substituted the cream sauce for the marinara. Others at the table ordered chicken and eggplant parm, and chicken, penne, and pepperoncini. Everything arrived perfect and delicious. Siena never fails to disappoint. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant on the cape then this is the place to go! It isn't going to be as good as the Italian food in the North End, but it is basic Italian food with very good service. The best part is they have outdoor seating! On a nice day it is great to sit outside and enjoy some pizza! Well I just finished eating there and was really disappointment. Do not order the veal saltimboca it will disappoint. read more

Will never go again!!! We have been on Cape Cod for most of my life and have been going to Siena since it opened. I'm not sure of her name but the hostess has been there for 16 years and ALWAYS is extremely unaccommodating to the point it borders on rude. We walked up today and she started to whisper to the other hostess. My sister asked if we could get an open four top (table of 4) under the overhang, she retorted NO, extremely abruptly and went on to say it was reserved. Fed up with her attitude my father began to utter under his breath and then spoke up. She made a ridiculous comment that the table was reserved but we could wait for another table that was paying, which was right next to it, and would be leaving momentarily. HOW ON EARTH CAN IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO HAVE GIVEN US THE OPEN TABLE? Her lame excuse was that it, a 4 seat table, was somehow for a larger party. We were so fed up we left and frankly won't be back finally. On the way to Villagio my father called a friend and just asked him about last time at Siena...and he immediately said, "THAT HOSTESS" needless to say, that's the end of Siena. This place is nice but overrated and way over priced. I ordered a large Caesar with added chicken for take out and it was $23. Fine. I'm on vacation. But a good amount of lettuce was brown/not fresh, the dressing tasted like ranch more than Caesar, and the croutons were literally melting in my mouth soggy. Its near my folks place, so I have eaten there a bunch of times. Sure its a tad overpriced, but you expect that in a vacation area. Its an unwritten rule I had a salad with scallops. Scallops had decent flavor, were cooked perfectly and were on a huge bed of lettuce(then again it was $19), but they have a fairly large Italian inspired menu Best part of Siennas is the large patio and the complimentary bread with cheese, oil and pepper dip....very nice Pretty decent place by decent standards, but a home run around these parts read more

Cocktails were great. Bread is great. Food was way overpriced for what you got. Quality was fine, it was just the preparation. Steak tips were good but the sauce was supposed to be a rosemary Chianti, yet it tasted like doctored up ketchup with no hint of Rosemary or wine. Sautéed Brussels sprouts were so under cooked I actually needed a steak knife to cut them. The risotto was not even close to authentic in taste and needed quite a bit of salt to give it any flavor. My husband ordered veal parmigiana and it was just okay. For a higher end Italian place and the price ($28) we expected it to be great but it was no different than pizza places with veal parm for $15.95. The service was pretty rough too. We had to ask for a bread basket which came after our drinks and calamari appetizer (which incidentally was really good). My steak was served without a steak knife and the butter knife in the regular cutlery set couldn't handle it. We also had to ask for salt as everything was under salted. Finally it took our waitress (who was very friendly) far too long to take our credit card and when she came back with the check, the pen had run out of ink. After tying to get her attention for at least 5 minutes, I went to the hostess stand and asked for a new pen. It's really too bad. We had loved this place when we used to come 10-15 years ago. What excellent food and service! Sitting at any bar with a very helpful and attentive server makes a huge impact on the whole dining experience. Our server was perfect in every aspect of his job. We ate the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and the Fettuccine Bolognese which were the very definition of what good food should look and,of course, taste like. My wife had a 2012 Hess Chardonnay which is possibly our new favorite white. It paired perfectly with the salad, and wasn't acidic at all (which is how I prefer my whites ) but fruity and mild. The Bolognese was fantastic, thick but not overwhelming, seasoned well over a bed of fresh Fettuccine. The salad was crisp and very fresh, the chicken juicy and tender. The dressing was nice and creamy with a definite hint of anchovy. And our great server broke out the giant pepper-mill and fresh grated Parmesan as well. Normally I'm not a fan of a hovering waiter but ours pulled off his job perfectly. I normally despise the lording of the pepper-mill over me but his overall skill lent it a nice charm this time. And finally, A Crème Brûlée for dessert! If you like this dessert then you already know; if you have never experienced the culinary equivalent of an after dinner orgasm run to your favorite restaurant and try one now! read more

Sienna's dishes are all superb, try the smaller sized dinner portions as they are just fine for most people. Just got take out tonight, and the execution, plating of dinners was perfection.
