I am so dissappointed in this waste of a time company. They held my deposit for 4 months with no return calls. I some how got through and they came out and put post down telling me they would return to put the fence up. This is now 6 months later and we still only have post up. I have called and even gone to their headquarters (which is a front) to no prevail. We now can not contact them, are stuck with post in the ground. I had a very great experience with Sierra Fencing and working with Eric. He was very responsive and communicated well with me, especially when we had to reschedule work due to rain; he always kept me posted. The materials they provided are also high quality and look superb and the price was reasonable given the fence was on the expensive side being vinyl. They took down the old chain link fence and disposed of it and also disposed of the tree branches they trimmed around the new fence and left the area clear of yard waste. After 2 months of having my deposit. They never came to do the job. When I asked for the return of my deposit they post dated the check. The check bounced when presented to the bank the date they requested, and now I can't get in contact with them. Don't use them. It's been a month and they still haven't returned my deposit. They placed a atop payment on the check and blocked my phone to keel me from calling or texting. Very shady business practices. They never answered the BBB complaint and now they have lost their accreditation. Don't do business with them. read more

These guys are horrible. I wasted two months following up with them. Called in April to do a fence. 1. They came out and gave an estimate. I accepted and they said they would start Saturday. 2. Saturday comes around, no call, no show. No answer to phone or texts. 3. I wait a few days and call again, they're receptionist or whoever answers the phone says next Saturday. 4. I would give them a zero at this point since they not only didn't fulfill the contract, set from June 3rd, they also put up a temporary fence that has blocked my car in the back parking pad. Look I know people make mistakes - things happen etc. I have read some reviews on this site against Eric & Sierra Fencing, but his customer service and way to talk to people so kind and soft. He came right out to give an estimate and he beat every quote by a mile. I was happy to do work with him. He asked for a deposit to buy material makes sense, and then he completed the work. Used top notch quick drying cement and Pre-treated wood and did a wonderful install. I want you to check out the pictures below. Last thing is, i want to make this clear, I usually write ONLY bad reviews and i have no relationship or favoritism against Eric. Just plain and simple this guy did very well. Eric was hyper-responsive and actually came over the same day I requested a quote. Within a week he had finished up the job and was on his way. They are not a legit company and will not do a proper job. Do NOT hire them!!!! It's a one man show who doesn't know what he's doing. He first put the fence up backwards, when we came home and saw what he did, he was shocked by what we said. Then he tried to cut panels and flip it over, but it didn't work. After 3 days of taking apart, wood became unusable and he wanted more money. After refusing to give more money and confronting the guy on not knowing what he was doing, he walked off the job and took my 50% down payment with him. Since he left the job, we have had reputable companies come and give estimates. All said that from what they see up, it's all wrong. Some posts were not even in cement and they are measured the proper distance apart. Not to mention that he used interior framing wood and studs instead of fencing. So even if he did do it right, the wood would rot in a year. DO NOT FALL FOR HIS SCAM LIKE I DID. I'm so disappointed that Yelp included him in my search for quotes! read more

I was needing a new fence that connects my house to garage, as the last one was in terrible condition from when I bought my house; broken and rotted wood and was barely standing. Eric came out and put in a new wooden fence this weekend. Looks so much nicer than the old one, not an eyesore. He was on time, good communication, fair price and very nice. He even came out in the crazy IL snow to finish putting the gate up. I like the way it looks compared to the old one I had up. I signed a contract w/Sierra Fencing & gave them a deposit. After several weeks, they finally gave me a date/time to come out. They never showed or called. I had to call them. They gave me a 2nd date/time. Again no show or call. I again had to call them. They gave me a 3rd date/time. No show, no call. I called them. They finally showed up 1hr & 45 mins late. While I was waiting I decided they were unreliable, so when the owner finally arrived I told him I was canceling the job & that I wanted a refund. He told me to call the estimator the next day. I did call her on 7/15 & she told me she would mail the ck that day. It's 9/12 & I haven't rec'd the ck. I went to the yard & office several times. No one was at either location. No one answers the published business number & you cannot leave a message. The estimator does not answer her phone or return calls/texts. I submitted a claim to the Better Business Bureau. They have also been unsuccessful in making contact. At this point, I'm wondering if I will ever get my deposit back. I would strongly recommend avoiding Sierra Fencing for any type of work. read more
