Time for an update and to counter all of the BS negative reviews some folks (probably only one or two people using multiple accounts) decided to leave on this fine establishment's page. Anyone who knowingly goes into a smoking bar/restaurant and is bothered or offended by smoke should not have gone inside in the first place...Or immediately left. In my previous review, I took off one star for this, but upon reflection, it's not fair to knock the business simply for what they do, which is cater to a clientele that smokes. I hate cigarette smoke but keep coming back...hmm, wonder why??? It's like taking off a star because a restaurant serves pork (something you might not like, consume, or even want to smell!). WTH? We've been stopping here a lot lately for weekday lunch, especially taco Tuesday. Great deals on really amazing tasting food-the reason I keep coming back!!! Always a drink special and plenty of daily food specials. There was one time our server had a bitch-face and her attitude sucked, but pretty sure she's long-gone. And if ever there was any issue with service or the food, I know for a fact the owner or manager would correct the issue on the spot. So, if there's a problem, give the business a chance to make it right, don't be a d!ck, and your issue will likely go away. I've been to some rough bars before, but Sierra Madre Saloon in Camp Hill might take the crown. The staff acted like they were running a private clubhouse for their buddies -- sneering, cliquey, and aggressively petty toward anyone who wasn't part of their little scene. Our group of normal, kind adults came to relax, and somehow we became public enemy number one. They refused service to a mom in our group because she "looked too tired." Read that again. Not drunk, not rude -- tired. Meanwhile, the employees are hanging around playing Pennsylvania "skill games," gossiping, and glaring at customers like it's middle school detention. The whole place feels stuck in its own sour little bubble -- more dive than saloon, more drama than hospitality. If you're not part of their clique, do yourself a favor: run, don't walk, to literally any other bar in Camp Hill. read more

What an absolute joke this place turned out to be. Our group -- normal, polite people of all ages -- came in for a fun evening, and got kicked out for no good reason. This place has attitude, and I love it! It was like walking back in time, where you can sit next to someone with a beer and a smoke. I don't even smoke, but it does encourage a certain care-free vibe. Add in that there are games, a fun decor, a huge menu (yet everything is fresh) and you have a unique spot that attracts cool people. I was just visiting because of a chili cook-off in town, but stumbled on this place and will come back whenever I am in town. We had the boneless wings (good sauce), the cheeseburger sub, and the meat loaf stack. I had never even heard of these things, other than the boneless wings, of course. What a treat. I encourage you to stop by. It's like going to a bar in the 90s. If you can't put up with the smoke, I get it. But don't let that deny them their due. I was here on a Wednesday night. The place was crowded. It was trivia night. When I walked in I had to find someone to find a seat. That's not a really big deal.service was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Our order came out in good time. And was hot. Flavor was above average. Value for portion was decent.I only had one big complaint. Inside and out with trivia going on this place was overwhelming loud. This place is loud to begin with. Tonight it was too much. Good service (we did show up on a Saturday night at the beginning of the Steeler game so we took all of that into account and service was still good), but the wings were GREAT. Rio Bravo and Pancho sauces are just got enough with good flavor. Nobody demanded anything except an apology from your rude waitress we simply said about how things would have been compensated at another restaurant.. so you may have all that time stamped and whatnot but that doesn't excuse the rude waitress and your terrible assumptions due to a disagreement. I saw they were in the running for best wings. I live so close but never went because they are still a smoking establishment. However i dont mind take out so i got 20 wings 10 bbq and 10 terayki and a side of onion rings. The wings were the plump ones and i thought the teryaki ones were really good. The bbq were also good but the sauce did not stick as well to the wing. The onion rings i think are homemade and i believe the blue cheese was also. Much better than i anticipated. The parking lot was full so i am obviously the last person to know how good the good is. Service was good. I even got called "hun" which for some reason made me happy. Been here a few times when I have visited my daughter. Recently went after my daughter's wedding and took all her Philadelphia childhood friends who attended the wedding for the after party. Had a blast. The place was crowded but very accommodating to us. Old school place where you can still smoke. And smoke we did. Ughhhhhhhhhh. Cheap drinks and beers and great service. Know it's a smoking bar before you drive there. We didnt and missed out on getting late night food elsewhere because we didn't realize until we got to the door, where to be fair there is a giant sign. Smoking is allowed inside the restaurant and on the enclosed patio. The only non smoking area apparently is some outdoor area they make available only in the summer. If you don't mind smelling like an ashtray- check out the other reviews, because otherwise it looked like an ok place! We left because...gross. read more

Ok, let me first address the big, stinky elephant in the room here. The place stinks to high heaven of cigarette smoke. There's a thick haze everywhere inside. It's overwhelming. To be fair, they have plenty of signage at the front door warning you that it's a smoking bar. But my eyes watered when we walked in. We went through the dining room to the covered, heated outside patio. While there is smoking permitted there as well, it's not nearly as bad as the indoor dining room. So we sit. Service was a little slow, but I think our server had tables inside and it was pretty busy inside, so I'm going to let it go. I chose to have the Caesar salad with two filet mignon add-ons. The salad was like $8 and each filet was FIVE DOLLARS EACH! Talk about an absolute steal! I believe they were 6-8 ounces each. I requested medium rare and they were done perfectly. The salad was nice and fresh. It was really delicious. Hubby had steak and shrimp fajitas that were amazing. The steak was the same filet I had, cooked medium rare, and a half dozen large shrimp. The only comment he had (besides that it was really good) was that the tails should not be left on the shrimp, forcing him to touch the hot shrimp with his bare hands to remove the tails. The owner also stopped by and made sure we were happy. I'm giving it three stars because of the smoke. Otherwise it would've been four stars. Look, I accept there is smoking in there. But invest in a good air cleaner so those of us that don't smoke (but used to) don't literally choke. The food was surprisingly good and a great value. I know that they've made a conscious effort to improve the food quality, and it shows. Invest in a good air cleaner and attract more people to the business! read more

First yelp review ever, only because of all the Karen's posting negative reviews on here. I've stopped in here for 30 years after golf to have a drink and shoot pool and always had a blast. Last night was the first I ever stopped in for dinner with my girlfriend. Warned her that there was smoke. I'm not stupid. She said ok I get it like an adult, if she had said no, we would have went somewhere else. Let me say that the meals we got were amazing, the drinks we got were amazing, the service we got was amazing, and all of this at 1996 prices!!!! Can't praise this place enough, yeah we smelled like smoke, no shit, you can smoke in there. The Cubano is amazing. The price is unreal. I'm left questioning why I waited this long to eat here. I have been going to this place here and there ever since I turned 21. Even though I had moved away for 13 years, I still have found my way back from time to time. They are adhering to covid standards while still keeping a fun vibe. They have great prices for bar food and the food is delicious! You might be surprised at how vast their menu is! You should check it out! The service is usually on point and very nice to their patrons. I literally only take a star away because I really really really really wish they would clean up all the spiders outside along their fences. The big ones stay near the fences, but sometimes the little ones venture in towards the tables and decide to join the party lol! read more

Stopped in around 5:30 and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Most people were sitting at the bar watching the games on the multiple tv's they have. Got a side table right away. Looked at the menu and was very happy to see on Saturday's they have $5 Margaritas!! That's my go to drink so i was a very happy girl. They also have $5 appetizers everyday and one of them was pierogi's. Say no more, I was in heaven. You get a good portion also. They were delicious. A place where everybody knows your name. This is a STAPLE , I've been going here since I was 21 and it's a local favorite. They serve good drinks at good prices. It's definitely more of an adult hangout / bar but they do decent food and can go there with your family as well (no children allowed due to smoking I guess ) They do big events for things like cinco de Mayo etc there is usually a DJ but they may have done away with the dance floor and placed a pool table which is always saddening! However...the waitress was a bit unprofessional...talked about how sick she was (eww) and, when I found a hair in my burrito (double eww) and showed her (she happened to be asking how the food was when I dragged it out) she just left without a word! UPDATE: Owner was very responsive to review and invited me to try the place again. Clearly attention was given to training the servers, as they were super attentive.
