Flinchy's is a very solid American restaurant/bar in Lemoyne, PA. My companion and I have visited many times over the years and have had good experiences every time. We dropped by for lunch on a recent weekday. She ordered "The Meltdown" as her meal whike I had the "What The Weck" sandwich. Both were excellent, and my sandwich was a decent approximation of a Buffalo NY favorite (roast beef on a kimmelweck roll). Authentic "weck" is impossible to find in this area and I appreciated their attempt. Our bartender/server also brought additional chips for The Meltdown after we devoured the first batch. Whatever tortilla chips Flincy's uses are slightly thicker and ideal for this queso dip. Service here is fast and friendly. There's a large indoor bar/seating area as well as a nice outdoor bar. The outdoor space is enclosed and heated during cooler months and is a great open air spot when the weather warns up. Full bar, nice beer selection, and a decent wine selection for a place like this. read more

One thing to note is that there was an impressive amount of gluten free options on the menu which is something I look for. I ended up getting the Sirloin Filet on the hot rocks and thought it was amazing. The steak was a good size for the price, the mashed potatoes had so much flavor, and the vegetables were fresh and delicious! I also thought the selection of vegetables was different from your normal broccoli or asparagus with steak dinners. We ended the meal with their gluten free lava cake which was so good! Overall, we had a great experience for our first time visiting. Our server was great and very helpful. The place does get pretty smoky with all of the hot rocks so they had to open the door to air it out, so I would keep that in mind. read more

Maybe I'd take that gamble in Philly, but here -- I'm not risking $20 on what might be a mediocre cheesesteak. If you've had it and think I'm wrong, let me know. So instead, I went with my second choice: wings. Market price today was $10 for 10 wings, which seemed fair. I ordered the mango habanero. They came out crispy, but not fully coated in sauce. The sauce itself was just okay -- not quite hot enough, and it lacked a distinctive flavor. Unless someone convinces me that the $20 cheesesteak is actually worth it, I probably won't be back. read more

I've been there three times in the last 5 or so months. I really like their sandwiches and I am a sucker for house-made potato chips (and theirs are great!) Most recently I got their Twisted Turkey sandwich. I had to ask for mayo with it since it had no type of sauce like their other sandwiches do. It was good. During a previous visit I got their Italian Panini and that's been my favorite sandwich from there. I've also tried their Squeaky Cheese appetizer and it's really good. Staff was friendly enough, but not really attentive. Wife got crab cake sandwich. Needed to wait for extra tartar sauce and mayo to be brought out since it was okay but dry. She said it needed more seasoning/flavor, too. I got wings. Somewhat overcooked. Not terrible, just not great. Also took surprisingly long for the food to come out given the limited number of people eating. Got there just after 3; didn't leave until 4:30. Cost for two people- $64.51 plus tip. That price included $29 for two glasses of wine and a cocktail. It'll fit the bill if you're in need, but at the price, pace, and food quality, I don't recommend it. read more

Sat inside, pretty average looking place. Got a couple seasonal drinks that were not very good, but we powered through since they were not cheap. The server was very nice. The artichoke dip was the best part about the meal. Those pita chips were amazing! My husband has the burger and said it was bland and not worth the cost. I got the French dip and it was tasty but the meat was really tough to chew. I was in desperate need of a tooth pick. My friend wanted to go somewhere new to celebrate her 60th birthday. It took her a while to find a place. She chose this place is because of the Hot Rock plates. She and her husband went to Aruba for a 25th wedding anniversary had the best steak on a hot rock plate in Aruba. So wanted to try here. Flinchy's didn't disappoint. Ava was the sweetest server. Polite, attentive, gave suggestions on the menu. We chose Brussel sprouts and fried cauliflower as appetitizers. Oh my goodness, they were delicious. For dinner, we chose filet mignon on the hot rock, crab cakes and Chesapeake burger. Steak on the hot rock was the best. Unique and fun experience cooking it at table side to your liking. I'm such a sucker for any place that has a Pittsburgh Steak Salad and Flinchy's did not disappoint in the slightest. Super kind off the bat and accommodating of 6 folks. The service was excellent and I was very happy with the seasonal drink menu. I ordered a pumpkin spice martini and it was truly delicious. Not overly sweet and had a perfect spice level with cinnamon and nutmeg. My steak salad was immaculate. The steak was perfectly medium rare, they did not skimp on the cheese or friends and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. I also was able to try some of the onion rings and really loved them as well. Definitely had a chic vibe, and overall were just treated so well even though my group came in towards closing and were just about the last folks in the joint. While we were eating, we noticed several diners carrying their food to another table. While eating, the wait staff must have asked them to move as well. And you know what that means about the kitchen. Under the table their was gum and some weird slimy substance. Racial slurs were also heard from the kitchen. Stay away. The owner must not care about their restaurant. Or their customers. And I have been told that they have not done anything to socially distance and defied orders during the pandemic to help keep customers safe. This is a place that plays Fox News 24:7. Service was prompt and friendly. Crab fondue dip was ordered. (I actually found real pieces in it) French onion was ordered. We ate there today and the food was really good. My MIL had the fish and chips and the fish was a huge fresh fish filet freshly beer batter and so good. The Brussel sprouts were to die for and enough for an order to share for the three of us and still more to take home. I had the French dip and sweet potato fries and my husband had the poke tuna bites all YUM. Our waiter was AJ and he was GREAT! We're here visiting the from Ga and we will be back for wings before we head home. You know what also warmed my heart? There was a regular there named 'Mary' who obviously is there often and the staff, especially AJ and her waitress (young, thin, dark hair) catered to her to her every need. Very fun spot with great food and service. I order the steak that came out on a really cool heated rock. It was medium rare, and I could slice pieces and cook them to my liking with the rock. It was a really cool concept. I also threw my veggies on the rock to grill those with the steak. I was really happy with my foods flavor and heat. Even when I had to run to the restroom, I took my steak off the rock and I was able to reheat my food by putting it back on the rock for a bit. The only thing you need to be prepared for is that on a hot day this will add to the heat, but still worth it. And the fries that I had were also really good. I went on a Tuesday night and in addition to the steak enjoyed a pitcher of beer and played trivia with a group of 5. The host was really good and had relevant questions for all age groups - from How I Met Your Mother, to The Sound of Music and in between with sports, cars and whatever else. My team won so we got to picked from a few different options including tokens for next visit which was great since we were already full. The owner was there and even swung by our table and chit chatted with us for a bit. He actually knew some of the people at my table, and pulled up a chair for a while. We sat outside under a tent which was neat. There are occasional trains that run by creating lots of noise, but definitely not a big inconvenience. Ask 10 people what they like about Flinchy's and you might get 10 different answers...and they'd all be correct. The deck, the food, the hot rocks, seafood, the awesome chili, the bartenders, free entertainment, and the list goes on. I've tried many different menu items here and never had a bad meal. All have been excellent and I absolutely love the chili and poutine. Even the pasta here is outstanding. Dawson (the owner) always makes his rounds and asks each table how things are and makes you feel at home. It doesn't get much better than Flinchy's. My only complaint is that sometimes it's too packed to get a seat. No fault of the restaurant, but this attests to all of the many reasons to go here to eat and drink. Enjoy! read more
