The only complaint is a total hassle every time I'm trying to get a ride home. They have a courtesy vehicle but every time I drop the vehicle here they're is always some excuse as to why I have to wait 30 to 45 mins to get a ride home. Let's start this off by saying if I could give them 0 stars I would. I'm a local business owner and I use Sierra Motors for alignments and OE parts when needed. Approximately 2 days before Christmas we took a lifted Chevy truck to them for an alignment after replacing a few worn out parts. Towards the end of the day we received a call that the truck was ready but the tech wasn't able to align it completely and it drove pretty bad. The excuse was because it has a lift and the torsion bars were turned up. I personally went to pick up said truck and wanted to verify what the service writer/advisor Rick stated. The truck is indeed lifted but lifted trucks can be properly aligned by an experienced tech but unlike what Rick stated, the torsion bars were not turned up. I pulled Rick out of the office and explained to him that what he stated was false and I don't appreciate being lied to about work performed. I left in the truck after being charged for an alignment and WOW... the truck drove worse than when we took it in. I called back to them and told Rick this and he told me he would have to talk to Steve, the manager about how to proceed. Fast forward a few days and I call to talk to Steve personally. Steve gives me a run around and excuses and tells me their alignment guy isn't very experienced and that's why I should take stuff like this somewhere else. I was told I would be issued a refund which to this date I still haven't seen and I paid for a second alignment out of my own pocket due to their incompetence. Now here we are a couple weeks later and we call them for another alignment on a small front wheel drive car and get told they will no longer do any alignments for us or help us with anything else we need done (straight from the service advisor Ricks mouth). I would highly recommend taking your vehicle anywhere other than Sierra Motors as they are a rip off and they will blatantly lie to you to cover up their incompetence. read more

Have had bad experiences with service for at least 30 years but this was the final straw. Our daughter took her 2021 Tahoe there for a squeak in the front end when backing up. Service rep said she needed new brakes and rotors. I told her that was ridiculous as the car only has 46K miles. Quoted her $1200. I told her to bring it home. Service rep said she had 7mm left on pads. New pads only have 12mm and need to be replaced at 3 to 5mm! Replaced the pads at home as a precaution for $65 and rotors were fine. Service rep called later offering reconditioned rotors for $500 off. What a rip off!! Never see any of us again. read more

I have brought my GMC Terrain SLT diesel to this dealership for repair and maintenance and have had the very best experience. First time there, I had mistakenly poured 2.5 gal of DEF into my diesel tank. This is about the worst thing you can do to a vehicle. It was a disaster! But the mechanics worked tirelessly on my car and got it running good as new in a few days. The customer service rep kept me informed at each step along the way. And the cost was 1/2 what other sources told me to expect. The mechanics tenacity, the customer service reps contact, and the dealerships fair price were way above expectation. Don't come to this dealership!!!! We came to this dealership and wanted to trade in our car for a cheaper car that we had seen online at this dealership. We drove about an hour from our home to visit this car. After arriving the salesman Frank Rathburn had come up to us to "help", I started explaining our situation and he had no interest in showing us any cars because it was a waste of time in his opinion and continued to insult me with my bad purchase. In my opinion the purchase wasn't the issue although I wouldn't have mind of downsizing to a smaller car for my personal being. My experience here seems very similar to others who've also had bad experiences with the salesman Frank Rathburn. Would not recommend this place. After having some work done on my car having to do with fuel system and spending $2700 I am not happy that I have a worsening sqeak on one wheel that stops when I apply the brakes. It did NOT do that before. The service advisor Caitlyn Ball said it was cuz brake pads are thin. I am not ignorant of how brakes sound when they need replacement. Instead of offering to take a look she just kept repeating your brake pads need replacing . I thought I could trust them and receive quality customer service ---evidently not. I purchased my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Sierra Motors exactly 4 moths ago. My car was brought back for the auto start stop light being on. The same day after the auto start/stop was fixed I brought it back because the water pump was leaking. They called me a couple days later and said that I needed to have it towed to a Jeep dealership and have it fixed, ok I did this. I have now had my car towed 4 times and have had 4 new water pumps put in, they have been going out every month since I bought car. Funny because Tuesday Todd was going to delivery the truck to my son because the truck was done and do the paperwork......This SHOULD have been communicated when he did all the paperwork to get pre approved!! Nope Chad didn't say a word... Was this our job to tell Sierra motors our son is on our policy??? Now who would have ever thought to ask that question???? not me! Unfortunately, my son and I were rear ended on the way to pick up my daughter from school. When the insurance asked where I wanted to take my car I knew I wanted to go to Sierra Motors because that's where I purchased the car. Tim in the collision Center was awesome. From when I first called he fit me in extremely quick, I brought in my car and he gave me an estimate within 20 minutes. He did all of the conferring back-and-forth between the Insurance to make sure everything was taken care of for me, not to mention all of this was taking place in the middle of the biggest snowstorm and torrential rains Sonora has seen in years. Even through all of that Tim stayed in constant contact with me making sure I knew when the parts were coming in due to all the delays with storms all throughout California. Once the parts came in, Tim gave me a call, I brought my car in on Monday and it was done on a Friday. I I barely had to deal with the insurance at all. It was all taken care of for me and I received my car back looking better than ever they even washed and cleaned it for me. No one expects to get in an accident, and when you do it's very overwhelming, but it's nice to know one of our local collision centers will take care of you in a timely matter. Thanks Tim! read more

I had an appointment at 10 am, the workers are always very nice but a bit annoying when they try to push different "repairs" onto you when you come in for one specific thing. And yes, I do realize that's their job, but I'm also quite annoyed with another thing, which is what this post is all about. When I got here at 10 am I was quoted an hour and a half to get new tires installed and an oil change. Here I'm sitting at 1pm still waiting for them to finish my car. My wait time so far has been doubled and was told that my car was "almost done" around 30-45 minutes ago. Overall irritated especially since I have other things to do today besides sitting in this waiting room for them to finish up my car. Edit: went from a 2 star to a 1 Star(wish I could give no stars) took my Subaru in to get an oil change and new tires installed and told me something was wrong with the transmission. When I start driving it, the car starts jerking and bouncing, when I confront them about it, they say that I had to go to the Subaru Service center, once I get to the Subaru service center, they tell me the tranny oil had been drained and the engine oil was overflowing. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I DO NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. Horrible customer service and apparently no one is a man of their word in this outfit. I called and spoke with Jaden on a GMC Canyon for sale on Friday afternoon and confirmed it's availability. I told him I was interested and got approved to buy the vehicle through my personal bank in less than 30 minutes and called him back to set up a meeting to drive and purchase the vehicle Saturday afternoon. I was immediately questioned and Jaden seemed like he almost didn't believe I was approved for such an old vehicle. Jaden then told me he would not be there so he would set me up with Kenny and he would take over the sale. I expressed how much I wanted to buy this vehicle multiple times before hanging up with Jaden and at no point during the conversation did he suggest I put a deposit down or anything of that nature to "reserve" the truck. It was my understanding that we had an appointment set up for Saturday afternoon. Fast forward to Saturday, I called at 6 am and leave a voicemail, confirming once again my appointment to purchase the truck. I get nothing back until around 1:30 PM when Kenny leaves me a voicemail stating someone else, who hasn't even visited the dealership, put a "deposit" on the truck and it's now off the market. This was an hour before my appointment I made with Jaden to come view and purchase the truck. I spoke with multiple people over the phone all telling me there's nothing I can do and nothing they can do. I found out the other customer who snuck in a deposit, (again, something I was never offered), was financed through they're services, so they would make more money that way. I made my way to the dealership and they allowed me to look at and drive the truck. While I looked at the at the truck, Kenny mentioned one of the other salesmen must have had his person put a deposit to "snake" the sale because it's the end of the month. I then pleaded to Kenny and the sales "manager" I think his name was Nick but I'm not sure. He was something else. Nick was extremely rude, repeatedly calling actual facts of the situation, "your opinion," and dismissing them. Also claiming "we get people all the time who make appointments and flake, so we didn't know if you were actually going to show up." What a HORRIBLE customer service mentality that is. At the very least they should Called and notified me someone was wanting to make a deposit and maybe I would have been presented the same opportunity. I asked to talk to the owner, John, and nick refused to contact him, while I was at the dealership ready to purchase the truck with Kenny, which again, was arranged. Nick told me John was "aware" of the "fiasco" going on and would talk to them about it in the morning and reach out to me. I recommended to Nick the right thing to do is to call the person who came in after me, tell them they made a huge mistake and return the deposit and apologize, and sell me the truck (the first guy who made these arrangements). Obviously that did not happen with Nick stating there was no mistake and that they're not going to "screw" the other guy, who made a measly $500 deposit, which I would have been happy to do, had i known it was an option. I called today and found out they sold the truck to the other party. When I told whoever I spoke to today a little brief synopsis of what happened, he said, "bummer." I am still blown away by the childish nature of everybody I spoke to about this truck and the situation, it felt like a bunch of teenagers running a car dealership. The summary of this complaint is the fact I made an appointment to come look at the truck at a certain date and time with no offer of a deposit, then get a call someone snuck it off the market AFTER I made the appointment. At the very least I should have been given the same opportunity to place a deposit on the truck. Instead I was treated like a flake and punished for financing with my own bank. Unbelievable. If this is how they treat someone who is dead set on purchasing a vehicle, with no effort on them to make the sale, I would hate to see their actual sales tactics. This place doesn't deserve anyone's business and it seems the small town complacency has set in full effect here. Also, I see that John the owner is pretty active on here. Don't bother commenting John you had your chance to make it right and you blew that one. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! read more

I went last Saturday to trade my car in. They called to give me a free oil change ( I've bought two cars since November 2020 from them) I told them I would happily take the free oil change and would want to check my trade in value because I would love to trade in my car. I love my car and saw the same type of car with less miles and different color that I absolutely loved. I was ready to trade my car in right then and there. Todd, which our family already hasn't had great experiences with, was the one in charge of my trade in value. We waited so long and had our 6 month old with us. We let them know ahead of time we wanted to trade in. We decided to leave and run our errands, that's when Todd finally came out. I will go elsewhere from now on. The whole experience was ridiculous. I was hoping the dealer would be a less expensive option for oil. However when I showed up on time. I was immediately asked if I would be leaving the vehicle? The wait would be 1 1/2 hours. It is confounding to me that if one makes an appointment, and is on time, you still have to wait for 90 minutes. More so, the service advisor seemed unapologetic and uncaring. Been taking to Chevy generally nice except for the one time I had to deal with a very rude rep, she ignored me while I waited for help . I came in for a brake change appt n she said we would have to do service check first 150 dollars . then calls me an ask me if I want my brakes changed that's why I came for hello she gives me a quote 695 dollars i said no I'll come get it . Then she says it wasn't ready yet , she would call me when the car was ready . No call back I had used their complimentary service for a ride home after I dropped car. She never called me back to have their complimentary service ride to pick me up to get my car , n my car was stuck there overnight . When I called her to confront the issue she denied it After confronting her, Every time I called back she let it go to messaging or put me on hold and left me on hold . Then she claimed she called me n let me know the car was ready . Saying the car was ready that they only drove the car to see if brakes needed repair really for 175 when I originally came in for brake replacement appt in the first place . the 175 was an $25 overcharge on top of it all . I've been going here years n never had any problems before . when I come in now I will not go to her desk . otherwise the rest of the staff always has been helpful i will post picture of the overcharge n unneeded inspection . I don't like giving negative review to a place that I like . I went to 4 other dealerships after looking at the Truck I wanted here and I came back to make my final decision to purchase from Sierra Motors because 1 I support Local business, 2 they worked a deal that was fair and 3 the sales staff was courteous and professional. I was in the Market for a Ford Super duty but when I went to Sonora Ford the sales department rubbed us so wrong we left. The service department could be a little more approachable. Took my GMC in for a warranty repair and later for its first service and both times it was kind of a uncomfortable feeling. Made an appointment and when I called ahead they had no appointment booked for me. Said they would squeeze me in which they did. Well I feel awful, but I've always been better with faces than names. So I can't mention names for the two that helped me. I can add that all the staff in the service area were hustling when customers arrived. What I will say for the two that helped me they were nothing but friendly, helpful and professional. I brought in a (new to me me) used truck which was under bumper to bumper warranty still. Seems the factory didn't attach the connector. I was concerned I bought a problem. The Person who helped me double checked with the service tech and assured me it was a factory error and not the previous dealer pulling ? She didn't have to do that and I'm thankful.
