The BARBECUE PLATE -1/2 RACK OF PORK RIBS (6 BONES) comes with one side and a chunk of cornbread. The ribs were cooked perfectly and they were good sized too! I LOVED the HOWLIN' BOLD & SPICY sauce! FIRE! The side I chose was the KICKED-UP SLAW which was crisp and fresh. I topped the cornbread with a little butter and honey and it was eaten all up. The POTATO SALAD was another on point side. Structurally complete but lacking in execution, this is the combo plate of three slices of brisket, three ribs and two sides (mac and cheese and BBQ beans). We had been meaning to come here for some time. Used my daughter's coming graduation as a reason for a meal out. We managed to catch a lull in their busy time, because right after we left we saw the groups coming in. We had help choosing what to order, because it all smelt and looked amazing. The only difficulty was the parking. Not many spots and I didn't see any handicapped parking. Today my husband and I went to Brother's Barbecue for the first time and it was excellent! First, the appearance of the restaurant is colorful and cute. It is in a little Victorian home with indoor and patio dining. I loved the stone cactus on each table. I would like to actually make my own now! The employees were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We both had tri tip sandwiches with one side. I chose the picnic macaroni salad. My husband chose the barbecue beans. The meat was lean but moist and full of smoky flavor. You order and pay at the counter and they will bring your food to your table I ordered a plate with 3 ribs, hot sausage, mac n cheese, and a glass of sweet tea. The side portions are huge, enough for 2 persons. The spicy sausage was the equivalent of 2 link sausages. The ribs were cooked to perfection with the meat falling off the bone. The spicy sausage was as advertised: spicy hot and delicious. I have never been a big fan of mac n cheese, but this one won me over. I loved Brothers mac n cheese. My other side was their standard cole slaw and it was an excellent choice as it cooled the spicy hot and balanced the fat from the pork ribs. The flavors and textures complemented each other so well it was such a pleasureable dining experience. My glass of sweet ice tea was Just the way I remember it from a few decades ago - it was strong and not overly sweet. The only thing missing was the absence of dessert. My dining experience reminded me of a cookout at an expert grilling friend's home on a holiday.
