I was so excited to try this place since I love champagne and even though they didn't have any of the champagnes I wanted to try, I was still excited to be here. What killed the mood for me was when my husband accidentally dropped his champagne and the hostess looked annoyed that she had to come clean it up and asked him if he wanted another glass with attitude. Why was she annoyed? Accidents happen, especially in a "bar" where people are drinking, potentially getting drunk. But we had just sat down and were not even drunk. My husband was laughing and reached over to get a cracker without looking and did not realize his glass of champagne was in front of his plate. We sat by the couches, where the tables are micro and I had gotten a flight, so imagine 4 glasses and a plate of crackers and jam on a table the size of a big frisbee. SIgh was one of the highlights from my weekend in Sonoma! It's located downtown next to Sonoma square, and tucked in the cutest little shopping alley that offers 42 shops and services! The interiors at Sigh are classy and chic, felt like something right out of a Pinterest board! We had the Rose and California Flights. My personal favorite was the Rose Flight! You have the option of ordering different flights or you can order by the glass. We choose to do flights since we felt like exploring different bubbles. This small tasting room pours a variety of local bubbles and true Champagne. We happened upon Sign while strolling the Sonoma Square. We thought everything in the pocket of the square we were strolling through was closed but we came upon Sigh and saw people enjoying bottles of bubbles. Sigh serves mostly bubbles with a small offering of still wines and beers. The selection of Champagne and sparking wines are excellent! You can enjoy a bottle or flight either at the small tasting bar, wrap around seating in the corner or one of the few tables. I ordered the rose flight and Jesse appropriately opted for the California flight. The Rose flight looked beautiful with 3 distinct hues of pink and not stop bubbles. My favorite of the three was the Anna de Codorniu Cava Rose, Spain. I had a sip of the California flight 2010 Domaine Carneros Brut, Carneros. The space is small, cozy and feels tucked away from the busy restaurants. I enjoyed our flights and service was excellent. read more

If Sigh were a man, I would want to have his babies. It would be perfect: he'd bring me rosé flights, keep me hydrated with plenty of water refills, delight me with a huge cheese plate, and let me read my Kindle in peace. After maxing out on red wine tastings, I walked into a winery and pleaded with them for anything sparkling. They said they didn't have any, but that directly across from them, in this very same little wine center, was a bubbles place. I turned around and a light shone upon the signage for Sigh. Violins played. I wordlessly turned from this man who had just pointed me towards God's gift and walked immediately towards paradise. It's a small spot; if I had to guess there are six 2-3 person tables and a corner nook for one larger group. This isn't a winery: they offer flights, wines by the glass, and bottles for purchase. This feels like an adult relationship: I give you money, you give me bubbles. With some places charging $40 for a TASTING (which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard) being nestled up in Sigh was a carbonated breath of fresh air. I already know what I like. A Pinot, a Malbec, a Syrah - all very nice, thank you. But the sparkling, with it's low acidity and refreshing joie de vivre, that's where my allegiance lies. This cute little bar is located inside the Sonoma Court Shops. There are tiny glass bubbles hanging from the ceiling with an over-sized champagne class by the window. I looooove the custom tables! The table top is covered with leftover foil caps from champagne bottles. Totally. Awesome. You can choose one of the premade flights to taste, or you can build your own! And if you're not sure which champagne would fit your palette, feel free to ask the owner! She is super knowledgeable and friendly. She'll totally help you out! Four of us went to Sigh to celebrate a birthday on April 6th and were extremely disappointed. We were the only party in the building and we were all but ignored by the server. He didn't seem to have any desire to try to make the experience enjoyable. Beyond the poor service I have to say the champagne was nothing special either. None of us will be going back. read more

Adorable: that's the main word to use to describe this place. My parents had been to Sonoma a few months before and happened upon this place and recommended it to me. It was a rainy, cool-ish day in Sonoma when my friend and I were in town so it was only us in here until the very end when another local couple came in. I love a good glass of bubbly and this is just the place for that. They have several options of flights you can get that range from Sweet to California sparkling wines and are about $14 - $18 per flight. They have a really extensive list of what you can buy by the bottle or the glass too. My parents raved about the lady that was working when they were there. The lady working when we went was nice but she wasn't as engaging which was my only sort of complaint. We still had a nice time just sitting and enjoying our sparkling. The design of the place right down to the padded seats, pillows and tables with sparkling wine tops melted into them is just perfect. It's extremely cozy and inviting. It's located in an area they call "wine alley" which is a very appropriate nickname as it's all tasting rooms along it. You enter from off the main square, across from the Town Hall. The alley is right next to Chicos and Sigh is on the left hand side. It really is worth a stop for something unique and delicious to do in the Sonoma town square. read more

Coming from a Sonoma country wine tour, my boyfriend and I were underwhelmed by the quality of wines here. When we first entered it was fairly empty so we found our way to the back to settle down on the comfortable couches. After a few sips, we noticed that the noise level had risen and the place was packed! Who knew a bubble bar in Sonoma would be so popular on a Saturday night! On our way out we noticed that this was the liveliest place, hands down. The other wine bars or tasting rooms were either closed or very quiet/empty. The patrons were a mix of young and old, locals and tourists. With only two people taking care of everything, all seemed to be running smoothly and the customers looked to be really enjoying themselves. The restroom was clean and spacious, as was the main room. I wish I could leave this place a glowing review. The truth is, my husband and I had a marvelous time. We ordered four drinks in total, three glasses of champagne and one frozen Moscow mule. We were greeted warmly. Our server graciously gave us a wine key to take back to our hotel to open up a bottle of wine we had purchased earlier that day (our hotel didn't have one). I tipped 25% and we left happy. However, I noticed when we got back to our hotel that we had been overcharged. Our bill should have been $80, but we were charged $157. I immediately called but couldn't get through. I continued to call throughout the weekend and sent several emails, but no one bothered to respond. While this place is lovely, I cannot recommend it, unless you don't mind paying double. read more
