I really enjoy this place, especially for the sauces and vegetarian options. The garlic eggplant is my absolute favorite, and the green beans are just as good. They do vegetables exceptionally well, and the vegetarian platter is a standout with a subtle sweetness that makes it especially satisfying. The restaurant itself is very nice looking, the prices feel reasonable for the quality of the food, and the service is often friendly, depending on the server, which makes it a comfortable spot to return to. That said, the sushi here is nothing special, and I wouldn't recommend ordering it. I love sushi and seafood in general, but at this location, the non sushi options are clearly stronger. I also suggest skipping dishes that combine vegetables with shrimp or scallops. In my experience, the seafood does not taste particularly fresh here, and that unfresh flavor ends up soaking into the sauce, which lowers the overall quality of the dishes for me. I have enjoyed the chicken and beef here, but overall this is a place where I avoid the seafood and lean heavily toward vegetarian dishes. I did try the vegetarian hibachi once and really enjoyed it, although the hibachi is a significant ten dollars more than most of their other dishes. As long as you avoid the sushi and some of the seafood dishes, there's a very high chance you'll really love what you order. Ordered on of my favorites, Pork tenderloin that has a mix of vegetables and a little spicy flavor and the crab Rangoon. Despite several good dining experiences with this restaurant my food today was truly the worst Asian food that I have ever had. The egg roll had no favor at all and was like saw dust inside. The only way to make it palatable was to drown it in sauces. My entry was orange beef. There was no obvious meat in it at all and the breading was over fried and tough. This is a hidden gem. The ambiance is incredible. Many architectural elements add interest and keep the acoustics perfect for dining. I also I overheard one of the waitstaff tell a customer that the music was if from the owners personal collection. The service here is high end but the pricing is reasonable. To start, Called to place a lunch special order and was told they weren't doing lunch specials because it's the "holidays". What does this have to do with honoring the lunch prices that you have posted on your menu and website? Just being greedy I guess. I ordered a full price order of amazing chicken. What I received was awful. The sauce was as thin as water, and it actually tasted just like water with zero flavor of any sort. The chicken itself wasn't too bad but literally was just chicken that was limp, flavorless and stringy. I just looked on the menu and don't even see amazing chicken on it, so I'm guessing they thought they were doing me a favor by making it, but they really shouldn't have even tried. For the price I paid, I would have rather had them tell me they don't make it and I would have ordered something else that they know how to make. My coworkers regularly order take out from here. It's been about 6 years since I've had any Chinese food, so I thought I would go over for lunch. I found the restaurant to be very clean and somewhat modern inside. The staff were extremely friendly. I ordered the garlic chicken lunch special which was only $10.95. I added an egg roll which I really didn't need but wanted to try anyway. For the lunch special I ordered the hot and sour soup which came almost immediately. It was good, your standard soup. My egg roll came next and same, standard. Finally the main dish of garlic chicken and fried rice same. It was good. The sauce was a little more syrupy than I expected. We came here tonight for dinner. The dining room is very nice with tasteful Chinese decor, and the waitress was great. We got potstickers as an appetizer and milky coconut puffs for dessert. Those were great and something we have never had before. My wife got sushi which she said was very good. I got cashew chicken. It was different than any I've had before. It had a subtle taste that I liked, but I couldn't place it. The only thing I didn't care for was the abundance of celery. Over all we had a very enjoyable, calm, and satisfying dinner. read more

We came for lunch and the lunch special with entree, rice and soup was delicious (and a great price). I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and also added an egg roll. One of my family's favorite restaurants. Our favorite is General Tso's. And we always have leftovers.

Service was horrible, food has gone downhill ! Waitress was rude ! Up charge for fried rice was first time I have seen that at any Chinese food establishment. This was the closest place to me open on Christmas Day and I didn't plan a meal at home again this year lol. We ordered for dinner pick up and was only 40 minute wait. They were pretty busy surprisingly as many orders were lined up when we picked up. This was our first try here and you should never judge a place by their takeout alone however I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything was! Judging by their takeout, I can't wait to try when dining opens! Very large dinner portions and reasonable prices for the quality of food. My sister also ordered their pad Thai with chicken which I didn't get a photo or but it was enough for 3 meals and very tasty! I had pan fried noodles that include vegetables, chicken, scallops and shrimp (pictured) which was very good! The sauce was just right. My son had rice and ribs which he enjoyed as well. I'm really impressed how fresh and warm the food still was driving home after a winter Christmas storm. The ordering and pick up was smooth. My only critique is that the young ladies at the front desk were not very friendly however I understand they must be under pressure. If they are a bit more friendly, it'd be the perfect 5 star. When we first arrived, the manager was very rude. Even though I told her I was there first, she seated people who came in after me. The people that were seated apologized to me. Three of us -- a 97-year-old, a 70-year-old, and myself -- had hibachi. The food was good, and we gave the chef a $40 tip. The menu clearly states that gratuity is only added for parties of six or more, but they still added it to our bill without saying a word, hoping we wouldn't notice. My mom almost paid twice the amount in tips as she was already very generous in my opinion. I'll never go back. First time try and did not disappoint. Wanted to try someplace new and support a local small business tonight - like a lot of ya - doing a lot of cooking at home so today was a good day for take out. Nestled in a "strip" of Caste Village is this little Chinese gem with a menu that makes it hard to decide. We tried the beef noodles - garlic pork and claypot chicken. All were so good - see pics - yes they look and taste good! I appreciated all the veggies too in the garlic pork ( does pack a little heat too). When I went to pick up - they are adhering to CDC recommendations - type of business I want to support - and they also have a lot of repeat customers. People picking up know them - another good sign! One other note - the folks are super nice! It's not just about here is your order and go. 'cept it's just regular food?! we thought they had sushi, but didn't see it. it's why we came! for sushi! bummed by our discovery, we order. he got the shanghai spring roll & the gourmet duck tenders. it's new on the menu, & tom was feeling ducky. i got the fresh vietnamese spring roll & the hunan shrimp. hold the white rice. we split a shrimp fried rice. right after we ordered, the couple sitting behind us got a plate of sushi! ah, you need to ask for the sushi menu! damn it! the spring rolls were perfectly made. delicate. we wolfed them done like animals! hey! we were hungry! hadn't eaten all day! our meals took a little while. but SO worth the wait! tom said his duck was indeed tender. my shrimp popped when you ate them! mmmm, mmmm! both plates were filled with veggies as well. we can usually finish our meals, but not tonight! we got our "doggie bag"! & it was enough for dinner the next night! you're probably going to wait a bit, but the food is worth it! read more

My family and I decided to order takeout from here for our New Years Eve dinner (4 of us). We ordered 4 entrees, 2 orders of crab Rangoon, and 4 egg rolls to share. The total came to $100 which I think was a great deal for all of the food we got, considering Chinese food is so expensive. I think our favorites were the stir fried general tso chicken and the general tso shrimp and scallops. The chicken and broccoli was just okay. The surprising chicken was a little bit on the dry side, but had good flavor. Overall though, I think we all really enjoyed most of the dishes, and we had a ton leftover. The crab rangoons and egg rolls tasted great, and they were probably my favorite part of the meal. One thing I will say though is the cabbage/lettuce in the crab Rangoon container seemed like it was going bad/turning brown. I would order from here again in the future even though it's a bit out of my way. They packaged everything so nicely for takeout, and the service was so nice to us when we came in to pick up our order. I used to come here when I was a little kid, and they've been great ever since I can remember. We went early on Valentine's Day before the crowd. It was not busy. We ordered sweet n sour chicken and sweet n sour shrimp. My husband's shrimp was awful. The breading was so heavy he had to scrape it off and the shrimp had lost all flavor. Seriously there must have been 6 inches of breading on his plate. We never got our tea that I had asked our server about. Finally he came to ask if we wanted anything else..."no but my husband didn't like his meal and we never got our tea". He said he'd talk to the manager. Came back with the check and tea!!! We had our coats on by this point ... too late for tea and nothing comped on our bill. Probably will not be back. We came here for Chinese new year dinner for probably 4 years in a row. I am Chinese and my husband's family are American so this was the go to place for us as I think they somehow can find balance between making American Chinese food and authentic Chinese food. This will be my last year here. All the main entrees were made from the same source base and just add something here and there to turn into different dishes. Vegetables like bell peppers and broccoli etc they didn't cook enough time, it is like eating raw vegetables with American Chinese sauce. Service is just like a typical Chinese place, they don't put enough people to serve, so our poor server is barely covering his tables well. Never come to ask how the food is... this place now turns into 10/10 American Chinese food place but 10/10 authentic Chinese restaurant type of service. This place goes downhill. read more

Atmosphere- with a location in a strip mall, you will be surprised how nice it is inside. Although relatively small, the restaurant seems very comfortable. The layout is long and narrow. The dining areas are separated by partitions. Tables are spaced apart comfortably and suitable for a business meeting or a romantic meal. Service - I have dined here several times over the years and service is always attentive and friendly. Food - in a word, excellent. I always order the hot and sour soup and it is some of the best I have ever had. I had the Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice, which is also excellent. Delivery took a little over an hour and the food was decent. We ordered general tsos, white rice, crab rangoon, and egg rolls. The portions were large and filling which was a plus. The crab rangoon was not filled very much. The rice was unique tasting in my opinion. I enjoyed the general tsos. I heard the sushi is good, so next time I will try that. read more

The food here is very good! I love the music and the free hot tea. With that being said, the service here is awful. My husband and I have sat and waited for a server multiple times for 20+ minutes. I called the restaurant two weeks ago to ask if it was open on Christmas Day. The woman I spoke with said "yes, regular hours". I asked what time it opened and she told me 11am. I called again on 12/23 to confirm it was still open on Christmas Day at 11am and was again told yes. So, Christmas Day my family ventured out to enjoy a nice family lunch. We arrived in the parking lot around 10:55am and the restaurant appeared to be closed. I called and was told that it opens at 11am so we waited until 11 to approach the front door. It was locked until 11:10 when a woman pulled into the lot, then approached the front door and unlocked it. We asked if it was open and she said not until 12pm. I was so angry that I had called three times to confirm the opening time and drove there for our meal, just to be told it didn't open till 12. We left and drove to the Rice Inn in Bethel Park and had fabulous service and a great meal! Too bad Silk Road, you missed out not only our business today, but any future business we may have given you. read more
